Carpet Country had done some carpeting work for us in the past with good results. We had them do hardwood flooring in the hallway and closets. They worked hard to perform this work and it seemed to go fine. However, within the year there was some separation of the floor from the underlying slab, and I called them to come and fix it (They stated that they had a warranty that would cover defects in the flooring). It shouldn't have been a major problem to fix it, but I could not get them to respond. They would not respond to voicemail, and sometimes I couldn't even leave a message by voicemail since the voicemailbox was full. I went to their office in person and got assurances that they would fix it, but they did not. I then asked a contractor to help us (he had actually helped arrange for the initial work), and he made many attempts to get Carpet Country to act, but has yet to have success. At one point Carpet Country even said that they had the repair materials set aside, but when this contractor went to get them he was told that they had given them to someone else. We are still awaiting a useful response that will enable us to get the flooring fixed.
