He took the toilet apart, took it off, and put it back on. It seemed like a lot, it wasn't a tremendous amount of work, but it was a couple of hours worth of work. It was reasonably priced. The clean-up of the area was good. Once he was there he was responsive, but it was just sometimes difficult to get him on the phone and get him there, and get him to show-up when he said he was going to show-up. Once he was there, he was great.
Description of Work: Fixed the toilet.

Marty the Plumber was a godsend! I had a contract to sell my house in Grant Park and the buyer's inspector identified 5 plumbing issues that needed to be addressed. I contacted the plumbing contractor with whom I had done business with for many years, not realizing that he had changed his business model to one of gouging long-time customers. The plumber that he sent charged me $500 to took care of 3 items on the list. In hindsight, a fair price would have been $250 - $300. The remaining two items were replacing the disposal and adjusting the slope of the kitchen drain line in the crawl space so that it would drain properly. This plumber quoted me a price of $550 to replace the disposal and $1550 to take care of the drain line. He said that the existing drain line had to be torn out and all new pipes needed to be installed. I was not expecting my long-time plumber to rip me off, but these estimates raised huge red flags. I asked my friends if they had any plumbers that they could recommend and one of them suggested Marty the Plumber. When I spoke to Marty on the phone he quoted me a very reasonable $250 for the disposal. He said that he would have to see what needed to be done in the crawl space before he could give me a quote for that work. He arrived at the house as scheduled and swapped out the disposal. He then went in the crawl space and strapped the drain pipe to the floor joists so that the slope was constantly downward allowing for proper drainage. He charged me $50 for this service. So to summarize - Marty charged me $300 to do work that my rip-off gouging former plumber wanted $2,100 to do. Using Marty is a no-brainer!
Description of Work: Replaced the disposal and secured the kitchen drain line in the crawl space to ensure proper drainage.

I was happy with the plumber. The answer service/receptionist was very, very RUDE. They were behind schedule and I called their office to make certain they were coming that evening even though they were four plus hours late. They were rude and had no idea of arrival time; this was uncalled for reply. Plumber came he was nice. I am not certain if I would use them again because of the phone contacts rude attitude.

He worked me in last minute. Marty seems to just service people within a few miles of his business address, which is a good thing, as he can help his regulars on an emergency basis very quickly. I've used him a couple of times, and both times his cost was lower than the competition but the work was just as good. I have not used him for large contracting jobs (since he seems to be a sole proprietorship I don't know if he even does that), but he should definitely be your go-to for plumbing inspections and standard repairs in the Intown Atlanta area.
Description of Work: FIxed a broken pipe.

The prices are fair. The work is good. He's easy to be around. I don't have any problem letting him in the house when I'm not there. I trust him.
