SUNSHINE CLEANERS

I went straight home and hung the items in the closet. The next day on a Sunday my husband did not find his suit in the bundle. There was only one suit and one shirt. The following week we called to report it missing. Everyone was nice and said if it could not be located the owner would do the right thing. The clerk went on to say, "I've seen him make refunds on stuff that was old and tattered." We initiated every call to request the status and we were put off each time. He's looking for it. We can't find it. One excuse after another. No one ever once tried to call us back to give us status. Finally I wrote down the sequence of events to make sure the owner knew we weren't trying to scam them. Then my husband called and the owner took offense immediately. His response became negative. We told him the price we paid for the suit in 2009. The suit was purchased from Joseph A Banks and we acquired the purchase information directly from the vendor and gave the contact info to the dry cleaners to follow up. From then on it was down hill. The suit is regularly priced at $550.00 and we not once asked for that. to be fair we requested the sales price we paid which was less than $250.00. He said he would look for the suit another 30 days and get back with us. Today is April 19th and no response. He went on about how he was a Christian and countered how would he know if someone hadn't broken into our house and stolen the suit. I don't know what happened to that suit and my husband just purchased the same one again on sale. I wonder if the suit had been damaged in the cleaning process and then discarded by one of his workers to keep a job? We don't know what to believe at this point. At any rate, in response to his speculation of theft; we have few visitors and we have a monitored alarm system on our home. Then he told us to take him to court! The owner is Dwain Chambers and his father was once the mayor of Athens. Don't do business with this dry cleaners. He has chosen to believe that we are misrepresenting the facts to save himself some money. We've never encountered such lousy service from a business owner who claims to be a Christian. He did not even offer to refund us for the cost of cleaning the suit.

They are extremely helpful, accommodating, and the quality of their work is excellent. They are very pleasant to work with.
