Joseph did a review and tune up of my six zone sprinkler system at my home. He truly did a great job and went the extra mile to make sure the quality of work was top notch. If you need any work done on your sprinkler system, I highly recommend calling these guys and asking for Joseph.

I used an Angie's List special for this and the guys were really good. They truly went above and beyond and I highly recommend them. Ask for Joseph when you call. They went the extra mile and did a great job.

Well, after I was able to get him to come out - he did show up for the appointment on time and emailed 2 different estimates to each of us.. That's about the best thing I can say about this company. It was all downhill from there. When I checked out the estimates I was shocked at how high they were. I'm not looking for cheap/free labor. I am certainly willing to pay a reasonable price for a job well done. I can even understand being charged a small fee for overhead on parts they have to keep in stock. However, the prices quoted for parts were inflated to almost double of regular retail prices and they didn't even indicate the brand or model of what I would be getting. For instance: A 1 1/2 hp sprinkler pump on their estimate was quoted as $399.00. If you check online - you'll notice a top of the line cast iron pump of the same size can be purchased (shipping incl.) for $239.00 and in several cases, less. I'd say I would be been getting ripped off - what do you think? Another example: They indicated my mother also needed a new pump. Not a "tune up" A NEW pump. Yes folks - her pump is in fine working order. So is her timer - which they also told her she needed to replace. Do you know what she did need? A new check valve and a couple new sprinkler heads. Her lawn maintenance man changed those for her and it's all in tip top shape now. I can tell you - she didn't pay the lawn guy over $1400 to do it either! As of 10/22/12, I've had several irrigation (yes - LICENSED) irrigation companies take a look at the irrigation system at my house. Yes, nothing was "working," but guess what? That's why I called! And guess what else? The timer didn't "work" because as it turns out - the switch in the breaker box was tripped. So in the end, I have a fully functional sprinkler system that DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED. The pump works great too. So, I'm not sure how great your license is, but based on what you wanted to charge, I'm sure glad I went with a much better company. People - expecially in this economy want to fix or replace what is BROKEN - not replace something that might break "down the road." By the way - YOUR licenced contractor also left his list of clients with their personal information on it at my mothers' house when they advised her to replace her working pump and timer - and despite several phone calls to him telling him she was leaving it on her front porch - he never bothered to come pick it up. That tells me how your company values your clients.

I bought a sprinkler service inspection via Angie's List, for $49.99. They called to set up an appointment, but then canceled the date because of excessive rain, rescheduling for a week later. The service man showed up on the new appointment day, but 2 hours early, without calling first. We were out, and saw the truck in front of our house as we returned, and spoke with him... he had no explanation for being so early, but as they say, all's well that ends well. I don't know what he would have done had we not gotten home when we did. Hopefully, he'd have returned at the correct appt. time. He went right to work, testing all of our sprinkler system zones and doing the extra repairs I describe above. Later, early this morning, I was awaken as the sprinklers came on automatically, something I hadn't wanted as it's rainy season and our lawn is saturated. But it's easy to turn off, which I later did. I think he should have asked which operating setting I wanted, but it's a small matter. Judging by the water patterns I saw on our street and driveway however, the serviceman hadn't made adjustments to the sprinkling pattern, something I would have thought he'd do. Obviously, it wastes water when some of the spray pattern goes out over paving, instead of grass and plantings. I hadn't specifically asked him to adjust the pattern to avoid paving areas, to be fair, but I would think he should have done that automatically, or asked if we wanted it done. Other than these two relatively minor quibbles, we're satisfied with the service we received. Aug. 31. Edit update: I received a phone call from O'Hara, telling me they would like to correct the sprinkler pattern issue I had mentioned above. I agreed. The service man arrived at my home within hours and asked me to show him the area in question, He pointed out that sometimes overspray [onto the road] is necessary to cover the entire lawn area, but that he'd look at it and see if adjustment would be possible. It was. He even changed out a sprinkler head that couldn't be adjusted properly to correct the problem, without charging me. I am very satisfied with the new spray pattern and pleased with O'Hara's pro-active service. They wanted to make it right and did. I have revised my review to reflect my satisfaction.

Just as professional as the pest control manager "Chun" set the appointment and sent Joseph out to check my sprinkler. They adjusted and cleaned a couple and replaced one rotor. Another great experience with an O'Hara company!

The technician, Joseph, arrived promptly at 9am. I was still doing some yard work so I asked him to wait a few minutes while I finished up first.The technician did exactly what I paid for; he provided a tune-up to my sprinkler system. This included an explanation of the control box (timer, power cord etc?). We walked around the entire house with the sprinkler system running enabling him to explain any issues that he noticed. He also suggested new ways of placing new sprinkler heads as we talked about future planning of yard plantings and placement of the system. As we walked around Joseph cleaned the sprinkler heads and made sure they were spraying in the correct direction. With the suggestions came an estimate of proposed work. The estimate was detailed and priced out by labor with details of the parts needed and priced.The technician was one of the most courteous service people I have dealt with in S FL. He called me by my name, said thank you, please and other courteous words. I told Joseph that his courtesy was well received and appreciated. One note about O'Hara Services. When I called to schedule I was very confused by the Voice Mail, so I called back the next day. I spoke with a lady that took a message with my phone number. I had to wait for a 1-2 days (cant remember exactly how many) for a call back to schedule the appointment. As this was my first experience with O'Hara Services I was beginning to think that I made a mistake purchasing their service. After the appointment and service by the technician Joseph, this changed my mind.

I would not recommend this company. No follow through, took money for the coupon and then never came back with a bid or a quote as they promised. Waste of money and time. Laura I did not expect broken parts to be repaired read more carefully please. I simply asked for a quote to fix and repair what needed to be done. I never asked for anything other than a quote to repair. I was promised that the quote to repair would be delivered back to me within three days. No One from your organization ever contacted me with the requested repair information and quote. Keep your word, that is the least that should be expected. Laura Lane

After an initial misunderstanding, the company followed up with a good service experience.

Joseph arrived on time and did a complete inspection of all of my zones and the set up of my timer. He found that I had set times for an A and B program which meant that I was watering my lawn twice each time it went on. I will save a lot of money (I use city water) now that he fixed that problem. I thought my timer was broken. I'm sure some other companies would have replaced my timer and not found the problem, which was easily solved. I was very pleased with the Angie's special. Joseph was professional and courteous. I'll certainly use them in the future.

They did the installation and mounted the control box. It wasn't mounted good enough and fell off, so they returned to remount it. They did okay. They get high ratings and I would use them again in the future. They would have been perfect unless the box hadn't fallen off the wall.
