It went very well. He kept me informed of everything he was doing. The price was very reasonable for all of the work that was performed.

Planted a tree that was almost dying. Said he would return with more mulch. Unprofessional. Would not use again.

The company rep was a young man named Joseph "Joe" who was very professional, worked within my budget and was so helpful, honest and knowledgeable -- it was a pleasure working with someone who really was there to serve the customer needs and solve the problems. His solution to my issues stayed within my budget but he told me things I might want to consider in the future when I might be ready to do some more upgrades. But I want to be clear this wasn't just a "get by" patch it was a first rate upgrade. Then well after hours Joe came by to show me how the new timer worked. O'Hara Services is the company and Joeseph is the man! His co-worker "Panther" really knew his stuff too!

We had a problem getting the guy out here but when they guy came out, he did a great job.

Satisfied with the work, lawn on island looks great as a result.

I purchased the $50 for $100 deal and total cost would have been $231, so I did save a bit by. I had water puddling around the house and was previously told that the sprinkler heads need to be replaced; however, O'Hara found the issue to be the valve. Everything was explained to me in detail from the time the technician arrived. I was extremely pleased with the service and work. They also provided a 1 year warranty.

I find the company to be completely unreliable and ineffective. They left many items dug up and unplanted, and the job is incomplete. Furthermore, they never follow through after promising they will come out to finish the job.

As explained, I did not get "work" or deal purchased, but an estimate for work to be done from the estimate provided by the "service manager." I purchased a deal from Angie's List and received an estimate for work that needed to be done; actually without any credit toward the work for the deal purchased. Therefore, I paid $45 to receive an estimate for future work at a cost of $587 which included a 10% discount for being referred through Angie's List. the only item that was a suggested replacement was my time clock for $130, which he said they do not repair and the auto no longer worked. The individual was polite and professiona, despite being and hour and a half late for the schedued appointment.

I was under the impression that some basic repair and cleaning of sprinkler heads would take place. I basically got an estimate for irrigation work. I was not told of anything that I did not already know. In fact, I have problems with my sprinklers that I did not have before the company did the wet check. The gentleman that came out was very nice, but I was expecting a little more than just a wet check as this is something I can easily do on my own and do fairly regularly.

It was very good. They were on time and they did exactly what was described and I was happy with it. The guy that came was very nice.

We started of on the slow side and I was becoming impatient. The job was not urgent but I like to be in the loop. If you tell me, you call - I expect you to do so (as an example). Anyhow, once my expectations in our dealings were discussed, we had smooth sailing. The O'Hara team did what they told me they would do, showed up when they said they would, were friendly and easy to work with, including on small changes that we made. PS I indicated the price for the work as FAIR - I have to admit I am the wrong person to ask. A) It is the first time I engaged a landscaping service and B) I did not solicit any competitive quotes. For all I know, it is a fantastic price and I just expected it to be less.

The work was done, but was kind of bait and switch, I was asked for more money when I was already given a list of things to to that included to fix the filter in the lake, that is all.

Did I get my free eight hours of labor? Yes, I did, and probably a little more. One issue I had was the response to the big deal was a little more than O'Hara could handle in a short time frame. I worked with Eddie over the course of a couple of months to completely flesh out the project (which included getting HOA approval) and schedule the work. We also went back and forth a little on the plan, but that was more an issue of me not understanding completely the thoughts of my wife when I asked Eddie for the first quote. Overall, this firm did what it said it would, when it said it would do it, for the price advertised. Eddie is very knowledgable about the needs of south Florida lawns and landscaping and had some great ideas which we incorporated. Since we basically started over with the landscaping, as we build out the design, we'll call O'Hara.

I wasn't able to make an appointment, the technician just called and said he was in the area and could he come over. Since I purchased this big deal last October and have not been able to use it I figured I was lucky they honored the coupon. They gave my system a check up and adjusted several sprinkler heads. They were professional and courteous. 100$ is about the going rate, as I generally pay 90$ for similar services.

A couple weeks ago I purchased a landscaping service, it has been a pretty terrible experience. They haven't delivered any services paid for. I am getting a refund through Angie's List for this Big Deal.

The Big Deal included a "1 hour" consultation and 8 hours of landscape work. Let's start with my first mistake. The "consultation" that was promised with the Big Deal was not at all what I expected. I had scheduled a time to meet with Eddie from O'Hara on a Saturday afternoon. I specifically told him I wouldn't be home until later when he asked to do a morning appointment, so we scheduled 1:30 p.m. Instead, he showed up several hours early without telling me he was going to. I had a friend at the house doing some work but I wasn't home at the time. Instead of waiting until our appointment he walked around my house taking pictures. He called me after he had already left and told me not to worry, but that he would call me around 4 that afternoon to go over what I wanted done. He said he would have the pictures to walk through with me. I was not happy with this but I figured I would see what he offered. However, I was really upset that I didn't get the chance to show him what I wanted. I should have recognized this as a problem and gone no further by just sticking with the 8 hours of work and nothing more. I waited, and waited, but no phone call came at 4 pm that day, or even the next day or the next. Instead, he called me on Tuesday. He explained that he had a personal issue come up and that he wanted to go over the plan with me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (my second mistake) and we spent about 10 minutes discussing what i wanted. He emailed me a plan with those items - at a price that was (in my opinion) too high. He initially quoted $2,029 for the job. I went back and forth with him and we eventually ended up with $1,829 as the price. By the way he was sloppy because he never had me sign the proposal and I never actually received an updated proposal (only the initial one). I told him I would agree to the job on the condition that he could have it started and completed on Thursday because my community was being repaved starting the following week and landscapers would not be allowed in all week. He promised that he would start and finish the job on Thursday. I got home on Thursday and found the job about 1/3 finished. I was totally upset. I called and he promised the job would be done the next day, Friday. I told him it had to be completed. He promised it would. Friday I get home, and it still wasn't completed. It was about 80% done. As a result, he could not come back the next week because of paving. Then there were paving delays and it took even longer to get the job done. Several weeks. He told me he would give me some sod grass for a few areas that needed it and that the mulch took more bags than he estimated, but that he wasn't going to charge me. At this point, I didn't care as I just wanted him gone. So when he finally came to finish the job, he forgot the sod grass! Also, one of the plants he installed right in front of a sprinkler head. I sent him a picture of this and he said he would correct it. This never was corrected, but I didn't want him back at my house. The work was, in my opinion, overpriced and sub par. I never should have gone with this company. I was not impressed with the end product. It was not even average work in my opinion - nothing special. There was excuse after excuse in this deal. I would NEVER work with this company again.

Everyone at Ohara's were very pleasant to deal with. Joseph came out and did a thorough inspection of our sprinkler system and recommended several repairs to sprinkler heads and pipes. We scheduled the work for the next day. The technician came on time and completed all the work indicated on estimate. He was very personable and professional and went above and beyond. Our sprinklers are working great, the grass is growing again and we would definitely recommend Ohara's sprinkler services!

Did not go well. Did not get the A service that others have gotten. When we are ready to do our plan next year we will start again with a different landscape firm.

Found O'Hara services here on Angie's List and emailed them for a quote. Eddie responded promptly, providing me with a phone number to call which I did. We made plans for him to come out to the property that Saturday for an estimate. I knew I would not be home, so I gave Eddie my boyfriend's number to coordinate. Although that first conversation was our last as he communicated from there on out with my boyfriend, the services O'Hara performed were great. They even recommended a company to call to have a patio installed which worked out best for us as well. Eddie's estimate was by far the most inexpensive we received, but the work did not lack. Although there was a bit of a scheduling snafus at one point, the work was done well and in a timely fashion.

The O'Hara representative did a very thorough system checkout and provided me with an itemized, written estimate of what would be required to update my irrigation system.

I booked an appt over a week ago and made arrangements to be home from the office today specifically for this appt. I received a call 15 minutes prior to arrival time to tell me they would not be able to make it and could not come until next week or the week after. I find this very unprofessional. If I had been notified earlier, I would not have lost a day at work. Because I bought and paid for the coupon, I have rescheduled. Otherwise, would have told them not to bother coming out and would have used another irrigation company.

Go over in detail exactly when they come over to discuss what you want done. He took detailed notes, and made a lot of suggestions. After it was completed, I noticed that one area had not been done that should have been pruned, and they came back immediately to finish the job. They even reset my sprinkler timer so that the area with the new plants would be watered frequently so we wouldn't have to do it. I would highly recommend O'Hara Landscaping!
