My experience with movers has always been nothing less than mayhem and destruction. These guys were great. The move took nearly 1/2 the time I estimated. Nothing was broken and they really cared about our property. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Professional, fast and efficient, truly a hidden gem amongst a gaggle of horrible moving companies.

Two men did an exceptional job to do the move in one day. The trip was an 8 hour drive both ways for the movers, They arrived on time. Wrapped all furniture neatly. No dings or dents or breakage, They were very friendly and answered all questions. I would recommend this company.

The owner said I only needed two people instead of four, since they were professionals, and it would only take 3-4 hours max to move my house. Two movers showed up stoned and it took 12 hours. They came with a truck and they showed up in flip-flops and shorts. They looked high and they weren't interested in giving me an estimate for time or cost; they just started moving boxes and taking apart furniture. The movers asked my next door neighbors for hand tools to take apart my furniture and remove some closet doors so they could get more boxes out. I was supposed to receive two clothing boxes that they did not give me so I had to put my clothes in trash bags.?It took them six hours to move everything into the truck and then six hours to unload everything into my new house. When they were unloading the boxes, they just wanted to set stuff down and did not want to put things where I wanted them including the TV, sofa, and dining table; the movers kept getting upset and huffing when I asked them to move the heavy furniture. Also, one of the guys kept stopping to take smoke breaks. They didn?t hook up my washer and dryer and they also broke part of my washing machine. They didn?t set up my bed frame, they didn?t put any of the drawers back into one of my armoires and the drawers of the other are all mismatched. The movers kept getting upset because with me because they didn?t want to move my sofa or any heavy furniture. They damaged the paint on several walls including a long stretch of the entry hallway with chipped and damaged paint, they damaged my banisters (chipped), and they cracked a few interior door frames. My dining table now has a bent metal leg, my cabinets are damaged, and they damaged a drawer on my nightstand so now the drawer will not shut all the way. The entry door is badly chipped and scratched. They didn?t want to fix my armoire drawers so they told me to call the manufacture to figure out how to properly install the drawers too. I called to complain and I asked to speak with the owner; the receptionist said the owner would have to call me back. The owner did not call me back and I waited over a week. I then called several more times over five more weeks; I kept calling but they never called me back. I had to go through my credit card company to get the charges reversed and that?s when they finally contacted me. The charge still has not been reversed because they refuse to accept the reversal. They also sent the wrong invoice (for another customer of theirs) to the bank. They are still refusing to pay for the damages. I had another company come out to give me an estimate for damages and the painting alone would cost me $2200 to repair. They are supposedly insured so it shouldn?t even matter for the repairs to me house.

Two movers handled all the items carefully. Job was done in anticipated time and at expected cost.

I finally found a good moving company! Did a great job moving my mother's things into her new assisted living facility. Everything went smoothly and with no problems. Would definitely recommend.

Frank and Carl showed up on time and began immediately working after we walked through my home and showed them what needed to be moved.  They wrapped in clean moving blankets and then shrink wrapped each piece.  Carl moved all of the boxes while Frank carefully placed each box and piece of furniture in the truck like a well crafted puzzle.  I have never witnessed two men work so hard, be so gentle and mannerly and grateful.  I still have more furniture to move and will be calling on them to complete the job.

Sam's crew was GREAT.  Arrived on time, professional and did the job.  I was totally impressed with Sam because it was a very small job and he was willing to help me.
 I also had called two other moving companies on Angie's list.  Woody and Sons Moving was going to charge me $50 just to come and look to see if they could get sofa in the house.  Than if so, charge me additional.  Another mover listed on Angie's list, said they would call me back and never did.
When I move again Sam Movers is the company I will definitely use!!!!

They are very good and honest guys.

Sam's was awesome. They kept in communication with us throughout the process. They were professional and there was no wasting of time. All three of the gentlemen were courteous and hard workers. The only surprise was how efficient they worked as a team. I was impressed at how tight the fellow on the truck was arranging the boxes. Like he said, it is like playing Tetris. I drove the truck over a 1,000 miles on all kinds of roads and there was absolutely no shifting and no breakage. That is a testament to their loading skills. This was not an easy move with steep interior stairs on a 2nd story apartment in a historic building. They completed the move in less than the agreed upon time. I would never again move myself. I will call Sam's for all our future moving needs.

Great service! Our two movers showed up promptly, had all of my sons belongings loaded, strapped down and protected with padding very quickly! They were able to move him across town, unload and finished in the 2 hour time slot! So thankful I took advantage of this special! They were a life saver, very professional and personable and hustled the entire time! Amazing service. Would definitely recommend and use again!!

For the most part they did a great job. Minor scratches so I can't complain. They wrap everything with padding and then shrink wrap so I'm surprised by some of the scratches. They didn't wrap the mattresses and box springs so when seeing a stain on my brand new set I was a little upset but was told it was there. Then when they got to the new house they seen my tool box sitting out and used my drill and my favorite go to Phillip screwdriver! No problem except I believe they accidentally took the screw driver forgetting it wasn't theirs. Upon calling the company the next day after going to use my screwdriver and it wasn't there, I was told by Sam that Ames would contact me, but he never ever did. I even called him after not hearing from him to give him a chance to make good and I left a message and never heard back. I know it is a minor thing but for anybody that has a favorite tool you use it isn't a minor thing, it can't just be replaced. Would I use them again? Probably not, but if I did I would keep my tools out if their sight and maybe take pictures of some of my stuff to prove otherwise they did the damage! But like most movers I think they are all the same!

Excellent. Nice guys. Worked very hard. Moved a lot of heavy furniture upstairs. Even moved a piano and large piece of granite into the garage. Would hire them again.

On time. Efficient. Used their truck and saved big! Not a scratch on any of our furniture or walls. Price was as advertised. Respectful of our things. A rep called once they got started to see if they needed an additional person to speed things up (we did not, it wasn't many items). Would use them again!

I purchased a Big Deal with Sam's for neice, and the two guys that came out were Tyrea and Robert, and they were awesome. They were super efficient movers with a wonderful attitude. They made the move as easy as possible for her. 

I spoke to Sam directly.  I called him on a Sunday on a holiday weekend.  I got a hold of him and asked if there was any possibility of having some help today!!!!!  He said yes, and had people to our house within the hour!!!  We were not moving our home, we worked with them on moving a very large pile of landscape pavers to a new location.  It was hard work and it was spur of the moment, and this company came through for us!  They even called in a third guy in order to help speed the process up.  I would definitely recommend them!

They were professional, friendly & such a joy for moving. Extremely courteous & very Helpful. I can not say enough good things about them. I have used movers in the past & would end up being frustrated. This was not the case, I was smiling the whole time. They cared about how I wanted it done. The next time I will definitely have them move me again & my brothers were here & said the same. I will be requesting that they send out Frank & Shorty since they were the best I've seen. Paul, their boss was very courteous, professional & nice on the phone & I really like this company. They went way above and beyond a 10.

Sam himself contacted me the very next day after I purchased the deal, to set a date and make arrangements. He was careful to explain how the purchased deal would work, so there would be no confusion. He also gave me the chance to cancel the deal if this would not work well for me. We were able to use the deal And Sam was very accommodating, as he allowed a discounted rate to add a truck and an additional mover. On moving day, I was very pleased to see them show up exactly on time. They handled my antiques professionally and helped me re-arrange all of the boxes in my garage. The movers were clean, nice, and well spoken, but could use a little bit more professionalism. All in all, the guys were more like friends than movers. We were pleased with the work and added a good tip for each at the end of the day! Thanks to them, I no longer have to pay those exorbitant storage fees! I would definitely use them again.

Sam, himself, communicated with me well in planning the move. I told him the types/numbers of pieces of furniture and boxes, so he could send the right size truck for a single trip move, and his estimate proved to be perfect.
The moving crew arrived right on time, Amos leading the team of Pedro and, later, Robert, when Amos saw that the job would go more smoothly with three people handling several large pieces of furniture. Importantly, Amos had the authority to manage the crew's size and activity at his best discretion, which worked out very well. They began at 8:15 AM and were finished at 12:15 PM. The delivery site furniture placement required that the crew re-locate several pieces of furniture already at that site before bringing in the furniture from the truck, and then move one particularly cumbersome piece of furniture from the room where I'd initially wanted it placed to the adjacent room -- not an easy process, as it involved turning the furniture through a doorway. I started with, "Amos is going to kill me, but could you please ...?" The gentlemen were very kind to me about that request!
The next day, Saturday, we discovered one error they'd made -- replacing glass shelves in a hutch backwards (plate groove at the front instead of back) and those in a corner cabinet upside down (plate groove facing downward instead of up). I emailed Sam, asking if they could return and fix that problem as the shelves are heavy, and my husband and I couldn't safely do that job ourselves. Sam called me and promised to fix it the next business day. Amos and an assistant arrived at 9 AM on Monday and quickly corrected the problem.
Bottom line -- Sam and his crew are pleasant to work with, and they deliver highly professional service at an entirely fair price. This was definitely a Pages of Joy experience!

These guys were awesome! They were always available by phone, showed up exactly on time, took care that no dirt was tracked in, were careful of the walls, loaded and unloaded everything very carefully, and were pleasant and professional during the entire process. We will definitely call them next time we need movers!

I was moving my daughter to her new apartment in Tampa where she got a job.  This was an extremely satisfactory move.  Sam the manager scheduled my move to match my schedule and the truck and movers showed up on time and ready to go.  The movers, Lonnie and Sidney, were great - polite, friendly, careful, respectful and STRONG.  The charge of $99 an hour included everything - labor, the truck, and supplies such as furniture pads and shrink wrap.  They were done in just 2 hours at a total cost of $198 and there was ZERO damage.  Having done 29 years of active duty, I have moved quite often.  This was my best move ever AND an extraordinary value.  (Their competition wanted a minimum of $344 for the same service and estimated it would take 3 hours - another $124).  The next time I have to move, I will call Sam's Movers without hesitation.
