Met with their sales man back in June when we were first ready to do our sod. He told us not to do it until November or they wouldn't be able to warranty it. Set up a date of November 1st for install and the lawn looks great. They did everything we asked of them. The only hitch I had was that we ended up being one of the last installs of the day when we had been scheduled for earlier in the day causing me to have to miss a little more work than i had planned on. They called and were extremely apologetic which I appreciated. stuff does happen. The workers were fast efficient and good. I even switched my yard maintenance over to them.

Extremely pleasant company to work with. Bill Ward came out to give us an estimate and was extremely knowledgable advising us the best type of grass to grow in our area. We explained to Bill we needed it pretty quickly since the excavation done on our property was a bit more extensive than anticipated. With the rains coming and our property being quite hilly we were very concerned. Fortunately OB Sod was able to give us a date to install the sod rather quickly. Excavation did not go as planned and we had to postphone our install date several times. Everyone in the office was just wonderful to work with and very accomadating with each of my calls. Customer service was just excellent! Raiza and Danielia were more than pleasant one every call. The sod installers worked extremely hard and were so conscientious of our property doing everything they could to make sure we were happy with their installation. We were very impressed with Pedro and his crew. After sod installation Bill came out to verify we were happy with the installation and provided guidleines for lawn care. Our experince with this company was excellent. Highly recoomend. Everything went fine. I don’t have any complaints about it at all. They were quickly in and out. We really did not have much interaction with them at all, so they came in, did the job, and they left. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

The sod was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. But they called and said that their sod was all under water. They could not deliver until next day. They delevered the sod at the time they said. It was beautiful sod. I put it down six months ago and it is absolutely beautiful now. The only complaint I had was that the sod was not delivered on the day orginally scheduled.

We found this company on Angies List and they were very good. Their price was very reasonable. They offered guarantee which most sod companies in Florida won’t do. They were professional and they were timely. They got the work done when they said they would get it done. We definitely recommend them. We will use them in the future.

QUOTE RECEIVED...DECENT PRICE, BUT NOT THE BEST. BELIEVE THAT HE SAW THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND INCREASED THE PRICE. HE SUB'S OUT THE SPRINKLER INSTALLATION TO A GUY NAMED "JOHN", WHO GAVE ME A GREAT PRICE, BUT WAS GOING TO PUT THE CONTROL BOX ON THE *OUTSIDE* OF THE GARGE. I ASKED HIM TO PUT THE CONTROL BOX INSIDE THE GARAGE (NORMAL INSTALLATION), AND HE NEVER CALLED BACK, EVEN AFTER I LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES.

Salesman, Landy, came out same day that I called and provided estimate which I signed that day. Someone came by within a couple of days and applied grass killer to kill existing grass & weeds. They returned 3-4 weeks later to remove old sod and lay down new sod. Came back in a day or two and sprayed. Their contract provided 30 day guarantee. Within two weeks the front and side yards began turning brown. I called Landy who came by and said he would have to send his spray guy, Bill, to look at the yard. Several days passed and Landy called saying that Bill thinks yard is infected with grubs but he didn't have insecticide for grubs and would have to return. I saw no evidence that he ever came back. Meanwhile front and side yards turned to straw and dirt. I called the office at the three week point and told them of the problem. They said they would report it to Landy. I didn't hear anything. I left a message on Landy's cell phone telling him that the dead grass needs to be replaced. Still didn't hear anything. I called the office again at the 30 day point and told them the same thing. They said someone would be back in touch with me. It's now been another two weeks and I've heard from no one.

Landy came out for an estimate. The estimate was very detailed, much better than any of the other companies. Landy was very polite, answered all my questions. I scheduled the sod replacement for the first available date. They were very busy, so it took a while to get a spot. They removed all the old, dead lawn and replaced it with new sod.

OBSod did such a wonderful job on the house we sold earlier this year, we hired them to resod our new house. Professional, courteous, timely - I can't say enough good things about them. Very reasonable cost too. And the sod is so green, one of my neighbors says she has "lawn envy".

THE FIRST SOD LAID WAS TOO BROWN. SO, WHEN THE SUPERVISOR CAME OUT TO INSPECT IT THE NEXT DAY, HE INSISTED THAT IT BE REMOVED AND FRESHER, GREENER SOD BE LAID IMMEDIATELY. HE ALSO REDUCED MY PRICE FROM THE ORIGINAL QUOTE WHEN HE SAW THAT WE NEEDED LESS SOD THAN ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED. HE AND ALL THE STAFF AT OB SOD WERE VERY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH ON THIS LARGE PROJECT. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WANTING EXCELLENT SERVICE WITH PLEASANT PEOPLE AT A FAIR PRICE.

We've had our new grass in 3 weeks and it was just mowed for the 1st time today - looks great! There are a few brown spots, but most of the lawn is green and strong.

Two days after making the initial call, a representive from the company came to the house to measure the area and give us a quote. On the scheduled day, he called to let me know he was on his way. The representative arrived on time. He was very friendly and courteous. He answered all my questions and even provided me with additional information. After he did his measurements and gave me a quote, he also handed me a folder containing reference letters from previous jobs and contact numbers for other services (such as irrigation repair and a handyman.) On the written quote was his number and he told me that we could call if we had any further questions. We did not end up going with OB Sod. While his quote was on the low end of the estimate range, we found a company that was $100 cheaper. Eventhough we didn't use their services, I would recommend the company to friends.

There wasn't much interaction They basically came over and said we'll measure your back yard, you can go wait in the house and I'll tell you how much it is.

The company rep came out at the appointed time to give the estimate. He was professional and curteous. We then made the appointment for the workers to come out to put down the sod. They arrived on time and completed the work in a short time. The job was well done and they cleaned everything up before they left. I've seen other sod companies work in the neighborhood and the sod that OB put down was layed down much more even and level. We followed the instructions for watering and the sod took hold fast. We had a few small areas that, after 30 days, didn't look very healthy. My husband called the rep and he immediately brought out more than enough sod to replace the very small sections. I was very impressed with their punctuality and the quality of their work. I would definitely recommend this company and I would use them again. We put in Bahai grass because it is more of a natural grass in Florida. We are very happy with it and it weathered well over this past winter (stayed mostly green), even though it was very cold and we don't water very much. The only thing I don't like about Bahai is the seed stalks that grow a foot in one week between cuttings at this time of year (June). Other than that, it is a great grass for our area and requires less water and fertilizer to maintain and stays green almost all year round. Good for the environment.

They are very honest, professional, knowledgeable and provided us with quality sod in addition to excellent service. They were punctual starting on the date as promised. I was amazed to see such a wide variety of concrete fountains, benches and other outdoor decorative items to choose from at their store front location. I had a wonderful experience with this company and I am certain you will too, give them a call or visit there location. I was truly impressed!

The person who came was very professional. They quoted me high, so I decided to go with another company. They quoted me as 800 sq feet to do the job. We ordered 1000 Sq feet to do the job and do something extra. However, it took less than 500 Sq ft to do the job. The person who came was good and the product was good; however, 300 Sq feet difference in an estimate is too much. So I don?t think that I would ever use them again.

I had my front yard resodded with Saint Augustine-Seville SOD a couple of days ago. My front yard has a big shade tree in it. I believe the shade killed my original grass so I used Seville which is shade tolerant. I had about 1200 square feet done. The cost was $599.00 for the sod and labor. They charged an extra $125 for pest control service. I am pleased so far. The sod was very healthy looking and a thick, rich blue-green. They completed the job in about three hours and kept in good communications. Also, they provide me with helpful information about caring for the new sod.

Excellent responsiveness and professionalism from Sales Rep, Edwin, and Customer Service Manager, Raiza. The work crew that removed old sod and layed new sod was outstanding; they arrived on time, did a thorough job of cleaning up and continously communicated with us. Edwin followed-up the next day in person to be sure we were satisfied and to go-over watering, mowing and fertilizing procedures. Really great service from everyone involved!

Overall a good experience. I was very particular since this is a rental home in which I would be unable to closely monitor the sod installation and would have to rely on renters and pest treatment providers to keep an eye on the future condition of the sod. Landy answered a lot of questions for me and was able to deliver on the final product as requested. I am very pleased with how things went. The only detractor from this transaction is that OB Sod has established a business relationship with a pest/fertilizer company that does NOT have a good rating on Angie's List. That company has an "F", but also only has one report contributing to that grade. I advised Landy that I was not comfortable in doing business with a company that is not well established or has a poor rating (remember, I cannot closely monitor to ensure pest/fertilization gets done and need to be able to trust the company I contract with). I chose instead to go with a company rated much stronger on Angie's List. Aside from that small detail, I would absolutely do business with OB Sod in the future.

I was very pleased with OB Sod Garden Center. They were cheaper than the others. They did the job when they said they would. They were actually able to do it a day or two earlier than originally promised. They used good quality sod. I didn't have to have them come back for anything.

They gave a good price, it was competitive. I found that I could do the work cheaper so I did it myself. The gentleman was nice, helpful and knowledgeable. He came very soon after I called them. Some companies say they are too busy, but he came right away. If I feel like a company is trying to help me even if they are more expensive. If I feel like they are looking down on me or don t know what I am talking about I won t use them.

OB Sod was laying sod on a Saturday in the neighbors' yard across the street. I asked if I could get an estimate for replacing sod in my front yard. I was given a very reasonable estimate and told that the work could be completed the next day (Sunday). I checked Angie's List for a reference, then authorized the work to be done. On Sunday, as soon as all work was finished on the neighbors' yard, they started my yard and finished in a short time. I was impressed by how neatly and efficiently the work was completed. They cleaned up all debris and checked to make sure the new sod was not obstructing any sprinkler heads. I was given clear directions for watering and mowing the new sod. The lawn looks great so far!

I called them one day and by the next day they had a quote for me and faxed it over. And by the following Wednesday they had the grass completely in when I got home. Their price, quality, punctual ness, and professional work was great.

The work was done on time and on budget. I was provided with a guarantee which I did not have to use. There was a follow-up letter issued detailing how I should take care of the new sod. I was extremely pleased.
