The job went very well and I was very pleased. I would recommend Hanover Carpet to my neighbors or anybody else, they did a nice job. I worked with the owner of the store and he helped me make my selection. He showed me different alternatives and he was really helpful and not pushy. He was helpful in making my selection and mindful of the cost. He had a team of installers. He cautioned us that as there was a lot of carpet and it would take the whole day. The carpet installers who came were very careful of our home and my husband noticed right away that the quality of the way they seamed off the carpet against the edges of the tile. They took a lot of care and they did a really nice job. We were really pleased with the quality of the installation and the way they laid the carpet. I would definitely use them again. Their price was competitive for the work they did. It was a positive experience.

The entire process was wonderful. From working with Jim on the selection and purchase, to the installation. The guys were clean, neat, friendly, worked well together and quickly. We were also very pleased with the details where the flooring ended at the sliders, and at other flooring materials. A year later we still love our new floors.

Their estimate was about $10000 for 2000 sq ft, and it was high. The person who came out was very professional. She knew what she was doing. She didn't take too long.

They did an excellent job. They did hardwood, tile and carpeting for me. The owner provided personal service. He made sure that everything came together. He came over personally. He was really good, professional and very responsive. The quality of their work and material was excellent. He gave us good prices on the material and the labor as well. They were not the cheapest. What I liked about them was that they gave me a price that was everything unlike some other companies that say that the wood for the floor costs so much and they add on for the trim, the baseboard, the labor and stuff like that. They were punctual; I never had a problem. I would recommend them.

Went well - pleased with the look & service.

Because of timing, much of the tile work was done simultaneously with movers coming in and out of the house. In spite of difficult circumstances, workers were very flexible, very friendly, and very courteous to my family and to the movers. Laurie is wonderful to work with, very talented and a good listener. Jim the owner takes great pride in his company, walked through and made sure everything was finished properly. Even the cleaning gals were a pleasure to work with and very flexible with the extreme circumstances. I highly recommend. Worth the extra money of using an established company.

It went pretty good. They were pretty responsive. There were some areas I didn't like so he came back and fixed it. The owner is very professional but sometimes his workers showed up late sometimes. The owner would always apologize though.

Great experience from start to finish.

The entire experience was fabulous. Jim and his installers were professional, courteous, knowledgable and capable. What a great experience, especially considering we were together for a week with the demolition, and installation while living in the house. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Hanover, from the first time we walked in the showroom door, to the final walkthrough with Jim.

Installer arrived on time, removed existing carpet pad and molding on the first day and started installation of new flooring. Installation, including new molding and felt pads was completed on day two. Installation included the repositioning of furniture. We were very please with the quality of the work.

We spent approximately 6 months searching for the right type of flooring for our house and lifestyle. We visited several local flooring companies and finally settled on 3 to schedule for estimates. Hanover Floors' estimate was approximately $2000 less than the next lowest bid, and the charges were broken down which made it easier to modify the job if we wanted to (for instance - we could remove the carpets ourselves to save the cost of that service). Laure Fisher was our sales representative and she is extremely knowledgeable about many types of flooring. She also tried to help steer us toward affordable options while listening to our requirements and concerns. With each sample of flooring we selected, she informed us of the pros and cons of having that floor in such a large space (the aesthetic, the maintenance, the wear and tear, the lighting effect, etc.). She was extremely thorough when she came to get the measurements of the space for the estimate. Laurie was a joy to work with! Hanover employs their own installers rather than sub-contracting installation. That way they can assure customers of quality installation. Robert and another gentleman came out and removed the old flooring and installed the new wood floors within 4 days. They moved the heavy furniture and replaced it when the job was finished. They were very careful and made sure not to damage the new floors or our furniture. There was very little dust (they had to grind down some concrete to level the floor in some areas) and they cleaned up after themselves every day. They installed the finishing touches (thresholds and caulked around the fireplace) and the result is a completely finished project. They made sure I was happy with the way the wood floors transitioned to the tile in the bathrooms and laundry room. To top it off, the radio station they listened to during installation was very pleasant and calming! At the end of installation we realized that the old front door threshold wasn't going to allow the front door to close (the new floors are slightly higher than the old laminate). Jim Nesbitt (owner) came out himself and bought us a new threshold and installed it. Jim also fixed a spot on the floor that gave a little under the weight of being walked on. A few days after the job was finished and everything was put back into place, we noticed a "crackling" sound in some areas of the floor. We called Laurie and she had Robert come out within a few days to fix them. We have had to address these "crackling" spots a few times since final installation, but Hanover has fixed them each time. We think they have all been fixed now. It's never fun having your house disrupted with construction, but working with the people at Hanover has made it a smooth experience. We feel confident that we got a quality product with quality installation from Hanover. We can't recommend Hanover Floors highly enough!

Bottom line up front: Could not be more pleased with outcome!!! Sales experience - Chose to visit store based on favorable Angie's list ratings. Salesperson (Robin) very friendly and patient. Selected specific wood flooring material and a couple carpet styles in the store, then she visited our home the next evening and brought carpet samples and color boards. Again, very helpful--completed measurements and estimate. Timeliness was a larger issue to us than price, so I can't say how well we did on cost--didn't really do much comparing or haggling and chose rather pricey carpeting. Installation experience--materials (hardwood and shoe molding) were dropped off first-thing the day before work was to be done. On the down side, I had to call them to confirm delivery was going to happen, however one call was all it took. Delivery was on-time to the minute. Had to paint the primed shoe moldings myself, but this seems to be standard. Installers were subs but were top notch (D&M Flooring)! Ultra-professional, performed quality, I mean QUALITY, work!. Installation went with only minor hitches prompting calls to the store, however all of my concerns were resolved to my satisfaction without argument. Jim (owner?) returned two working days after installation to trim door bottoms and vertical blinds, thus completing the job. Again, I don't know if we got the best price we could have, but we LOVE our floors and carpet!

I went into their showroom because I remembered the lady that worked in their store. She came out and measured the floor for me. You didn't have to call the store to find out things, they called you. The promised installation was completed as promised. The end result was a beautiful transformation of my home.

We visited four showrooms, overall. We were looking for a carpet we had seen in another showroom that Jim was able to match exactly. Jim was very knowledgeable and listened to our ideas. His approach is not high pressure at all and he was engaging in his conversation; we immediately had complete trust in company after the first visit. His estimate was well below others we had obtained and quality and professionalism was not sacrificed. He visited our house once to measure and once to walk through the installation procedure. One advantage is that they moved furniture, only asking us to move small items such as pictures and tabletop items so they would not damage them. We had a particularly large item in the room that they had no issue moving. The process took one day for one rather large room with steps. We moved small items from one room to the other while they worked on the target room, and them moved them back the next day so they could continue the other spots. The workers carefully moved furniture and made the process as painless as possible. Overall, we are extremely pleased and have no regrets at all. The carpet looks wonderful and is one of the best product and company decisions we have made when upgrading our home. This company is wonderful to deal with.

This was a huge selling point in our case since we wanted to stay within a particular line of flooring since it was rated high in terms of quality. His estimate was well below others we had obtained and quality and professionalism was not sacrificed. He returned to our home with the actual samples and made a final decision. He then walked us through what we needed to do prior to the install. This company also had two advantages over others. First they moved furniture, only asking us to move small items such as pictures and tabletop items so they would not damage them. Second, they pained quarter-round so long as we provided the paint. Others either charged for that, or would not paint it at all. The process took two days. We moved small items from one room to the other while they worked on the target room, and them moved them back the next day so they could continue the other spots. The workers were meticulous and were very easy to deal with. They carefully moved furniture and made the process as painless as possible. We had to put felt pads on our furniture -- something they strongly suggested during installation. We underestimated the effort to do that and were almost as busy as they were putting pads on our furniture before we returned them back onto the new floor. Overall, we are extremely pleased and have no regrets at all. The floor looks wonderful and is one of the best product and company decisions we have made when upgrading our home. This company is wonderful to deal with.

They did an excellent job. I did have to get the owner involved to make sure they were blending the boxes together, but they end result was excellent. They were trustworthy as well.

I was pleased from the first appointment when their representative came out. Throughout the problems with the wood, they couldn't have been nicer. I feel Hanover went above and beyond what most companies would have done, and I would certainly hire them again if I needed flooring.
