Description of Work: I received an estimate to relocate a commode and finish 3 drain connections in a bath room. His estimate was clearly the most reasonable and complete. I got other estimates whose price tag indicated there was no interest in doing the work. Some plumbers appear to restrict their jobs to simple maintenance.

Description of Work: They installed a gas log fireplace and they did a pretty good job.

Description of Work: Re-plumbed the house. Overall ok, everyone was nice but the guy that cut the holes for the pipes around the water heater did not know what he was doing and cut extra holes in the wall.

Description of Work: Called and left a message around midnight and my phone rang by 8:00am! Was told they had a call first thing but would be out mid-morning. 5 minutes later the phone rang again, they had a cancellation and he was on his way. Got there, immediately knew what to do, fixed the water line, re-covered the hole and was done in 20 minutes. Highly recommended, will be who we call first for any plumbing issue in the future!!

Description of Work: Actually, I have had a need for a plumbing contractor several times in the last month or so. The date given was the last instance, and the dollar amount shown was the total. In the first instance, I called Lance Maxwell Plumbing to repair a water line from my meter to the house that had been broken by my lawn service. During the repair, they found that the water pressure control valve protecting my house was quite old and surely in need of replacement, to which I agreed. The work involved cutting out a piece of pipe coming out of the meter box and building an intricate pipe system to connect the pipes back with the new valve included. In the second instance, I was replacing the float valve in one of the bathroom's of my daughter's house. I found the problem to be in the supply line coming from the valve to the toilet tank. When the fitting would not easily be removed, I called Maxwell to replace it. After they left, I completed the job I had started. And got called that evening from my daughter who said it was still leaking! Called Maxwell back out and, yep, my work - not his - had resulted in a leak. Maxwell fixed it (I shoulda had him do the whole thinge when he was there). Then we later found that it appeared that we had a leak in the wall by a bathroom that was generating mildew and mold in the wall. I had a contractor come out and remove siding so we could see what the water source was and, yep - small leak at a soldered joint. Called Maxwell and they came right out and took care of the problem for us.
