carpet cleaners
 + -1 moreThe carpet still looks as good as it has since we moved in our home. I was temped to rent some cleaning equipment and clean the carpet myself but when I checked on the internet for tips on how to do a really good job, I realized it's more detailed than it seems. I was willing to pay someone who would do the job right, and I liked Mr. Grigg's previous recommendation here on Angie's List. I just want to add another recommendation for Mr. Griggs -- the price is good, the service is good and the man is very professional.
Description of Work: David Griggs, the business owner, cleaned the carpet in our living room/dining room. Since it's a large room it cost two times as much as a smaller room, plus I paid an extra $20 for a disinfectant treatment to dissipate a lingering pet odor. I felt the price I paid was very good for what I got. I talked to Mr. Griggs on the phone a few days earler, told him how our carpet had stains from the previous homeowner and lingering odor from a pet. He explained what he thought the issues were and estimated a price -- $70. Mr. Griggs arrived on-time, confirmed what he thought the problem was when we talked before, and went to work. When the carpet was done it looked great. Mr. Griggs said he'd spent some extra time cleaning it to extract all the soil he could. As he was putting away his equipment outside the house I chatted with Mr. Griggs and he said he'd done carpet cleaning in another city for 10 years before coming to Tallahassee. I think you can really tell because he really understood what kind of problems our carpet had and he took a lot of pride in his work.

carpet cleaners
 + -1 moreDave worked very efficiently. He completed the work quickly and was well-prepared. The carpets were cleaned thoroughly. He cleaned the chairs on our screened porch. The area rug he cleaned inside. I regretted not asking him to take the area rug outside, because our wood floors got a bit wet. However, he cleaned up everything very well. After he left I had some misgivings about how long the carpets and rug took to dry. Also, it would have been better to leave the house to air out for a while after the the teflon treatment. But once it was all dry--which took more time than previous carpet cleaners--about 2 days really in our low lying area--my carpets looked like new! I was so pleased. I have also found that spills are less likely to stain and the carpets continue to look better than they have in years. I was very pleased with the final results.
Description of Work: Dave was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable. He deep-cleaned our carpets in 3 bedrooms ($49.50 each room), an area rug and vanity area ($49.50), and 6 dining room chairs (45.50). He recommended that we add a carpet restoration process (Dupont Teflon) that would enhance the look of our 12-year old carpets, the rug and chairs.

 + -1 moreCalled to make appointment; Greg showed up on time; cleaned crpet, and left. Great price and great job. Previous owerners had many pets and pet hair was everywhere. After Greg left. I couldn't fing hair 1.

carpet cleaners, ceramic tile
 + 0 moreThe first time I used Carpet Restoration, Dave showed up on time and did an amazing job cleaning the carpets in one of my rental properties. He was able to work with my schedule and budget, which is very important to me. Not only did he clean the carpets well, he was able to remove several stains I was sure would be there forever. I was very satisfied. When he was done, he let me know that the tile floors, specifically the grout lines, could be cleaned just as easily and with the same result. I was not so sure since they were very stained. As a courtesy, he hooked up his tile cleaner and when I returned, I was amazed to see how well the foyer tile looked. For a small additional effort, the overall difference to the area was well worth it and made the main floor area look even better. I was very satisfied with the overall experience of his cleaning services.
Description of Work: Dave has worked on several of my properties (rental and personal), cleaning both my carpets and tile. He has had to do everything from annual cleanings to deep stain removal (including pet stains). It always amazes me how good a carpet can look after it is professionally cleaned. He is always very helpful with his suggestions on to how the rugs can be cleaned and the best way to help prevent future issues. Dave always shows up on time and is always efficient with his time getting the job done right the first time.
