It went well. They came out right away after I purchased the big deal. They were professional.

Josh Winton is a pleasure to work with. He was the 3rd mold remediator I interviewed, and I felt very confident giving the project to him because of his great Angie’s List reviews, and because of his straight forward manner, and apparent knowledge of the filed. He did a wonderful job for us on what the mold tester referred to as a complex job. Joshes employees did the work at the appointed times, and kept in touch very closely on their progress. They located another water leak, which delayed them, but they did everything in their power to meet our deadlines in spite of the delay. They completed the job, got the condo a clean bill of health from the mold tester, and left the condo in perfect shape for the contractor to come in to replace the damaged materials. Josh recommended mold testing before and after his work, which the other mold remediators did not mention. I believe that others do the mold testing themselves, which seems unethical, since it is a test of the efficacy of their own work. Josh was at all times helpful and personable. He may be my favorite contractor of all times. I felt we were in good, ethical hands, and we were, from start to finish. Discreet Restoration has my highest recommendation.

My Office Administrator was allergic to the mold, which seemed to be recurring over her head on the ceiling tile. So I had a bit of urgency to remedy the situation at that point. I did have some other workmen replacing the molded tile (we had a major water leak in the middle of all this) and looking for water leaks so that I could fix the problem and then have josh come in and take care of any residual mold, but each time we completed the work on our end, I could not get a hold of Josh to come and make sure all the mold was gone. He did not respond to my calls. This went on for some time. I had mold in different locations in the building. I can't give you a specific date but I put that date in the box because I could not submit it without it. We were going back and forth throughout 2014 with different issues, some the same, but I never got him pinned down to say what they were going to do and when and the costs to do the work. He had told me that he was okay with my taking care of the repairs that needed done because he would just use a contractor himself that would probably cost me more, so to let him know when we were done, which I did, but then he nor his partner called us back with a game plan. So I gave up.

Our primary residence is in the northeast but we have a family co-op on Miami Beach (MB). At the end of May, we got a call from the MB doorman saying that water coming from our unit was wetting the carpet in the building?s hallway. Water had backed up from a common drain between our unit and an adjoining one and flooded the hallway of our unit along with the carpeting in our living room. We were told to get the carpeting dried out ASAP and that we might need mold remediation work done. What? We are 1500 miles away. I went on Angie?s List for mold remediation companies and made a cold call to Josh Winton of Discreet Restoration, because of their wonderful reviews. I explained the situation and he told me to get mold readings done. If they were high, then mold remediation would have to be done as well. I contacted a mold testing person who came to the unit ASAP. By this time, a relative had flown to MB to survey the damage so he was in the unit when the mold man did the tests. Yes, the mold levels were high. All the carpeting/padding in the living room and bedroom would have to be removed, as well as some of the tiles in the hallway with its underlying cork, woodwork would need to be removed, walls scraped. But none of the family could stay in MB to oversee the mold remediation process because of work responsibilities. The building?s property manager agreed to allow access to three mold remediation companies so they could prepare their estimates. We chose Discreet Restoration to do the mold remediation work because of Josh?s personality, the price given, the clarity of what he said they would do, and the enthusiastic reviews given this company on Angie?s List. Many of the reviewers were in the same situation as we were??.thousands of miles away. I have never regretted our choice. Josh and his team have been absolute delights to work with. The co-op property manager on behalf of the Board needed several kinds of documents the company had to produce, along with the permits needed. Josh was unflappable and helped to keep me calm, as I was in charge of this part of the repairs. I can wholeheartedly agree with the kinds of comments made by the other Angie?s List reviewers: he kept our family fully informed about what was being done at every step of the process; he produced pictures of the process; he contacted me when unexpected problems were found (e.g., the A/C tubing was not fully connected); he faithfully and promptly answered our emails and phone calls day, night, weekends. The mold re-tests were within acceptable limits when the work was completed. Josh made it clear that if the mold re-tests were not, they would return to continue work without charge until the tests were acceptable. (I understand that this is part of every mold remediation company's policy). We also asked if they could get our clothes and linens washed and dry cleaned. He handled that as well, making an inventory of the items to ensure he got all of them back. We also asked him to arrange to pack up our breakable items in the living room and bedroom prior to the new carpet and replacement tile being laid. In sum, I cannot think of how their service could have been improved when doing the mold remediation work.

I recently had roof leak which lead to a mold problem. After much research and several estimates I hired Discreet Resolutions. The choice to use them was easy due to the high rating on the Better Business Bureau, Angie's list, and their quick response time. I explained to them I needed the estimate quick and the work done in a couple of days. That afternoon I had the estimate emailed and they started work just as fast. They completed the job in the time promised and were very professional. I highly recommend then to anyone with a mold issue.

I originally found them on Angie's List. The work required 4 full days during which time they completely cleaned every wall, appliance, floor, and structure; took apart and cleaned air handler and completely cleaned air ducts; tore out tile and dry wall in master bedroom and tore up and disposed of all carpet; repaired several remaining leaks and completely scrubbed area; they either cleaned or bagged everything within the condo. When their work was complete, the owner brought in a remediation tester at his expense to insure that everything was clean of mold or anything else. It was a stressful time for me since my pet and I had to vacate the unit and I'm sure I was difficult to deal with at times, but the owner Josh Winton was a rock for me. He was always available, even very early in the morning or late at night. Before or after hours when I left messages, he always called back, usually within a 1/2 hour. He didn't always tell me what I wanted to hear, but he always told me the truth, and he was always compassionate and helpful. The men he employed were competent and professional and worked steadily. I would that no one else would have to undergo so extensive a procedure but, whatever their problem is, I would definitely recommend Discreet.. The only issue I had was, and it was very minor, it took me a long time to sort out all the plastic bags. Otherwise, the experience was extremely positive, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Josh was great !!! He took it step by step to help deal with the after effects of a minor flood. If your looking for professionalism,honesty and fairness ask for Josh.

The guys from DR were terrific. They arrived when they said they would and did a thorough and complete job. Very professional. I hope I'll never have to use them again - obviously - but would highly recommend them to others.

Well- they did a bunch of "remediation" the issue is that the mold was worse after they left. Like more than 10x worse. So, we had the temporary comfort of thinking we had solved the mold problem. Only to find it worse after they were done. I am actually quite confident that they contaminated our house with new mold. As the variety of colors and spores increased dramatically after they left. We called them back. They came and looked and had nothing to say. I think they were so embarrassed or ashamed of the result they simply left and never called back. Do some serious research before hiring anyone like this. I am pretty convinced this is just an overpriced cleaning service, and they have no actual expertise. The EPA has a lot of very useful info on mold and how to remediate, etc.

Their service was excellent. They were very professional and did an excellent job.

They told me that they have to take everything out of every drawer, every closet, every dresser in every room. Basically everything would need to be moved and cleaned, and I just cannot do that. One of the men had a bit of an attitude and said they could do whatever I want, but I wouldn?t get a certificate at the end. I took that to mean they were going to take care of some of the mold but leave some of it ? leaving me with mold. They are supposed to have their boss called me, which I am still waiting for. I was disappointed because I knew they were from Angie?s List and have a good rating and really thought they would be the best people to help me.

Josh from Discreet was very responsive, he was quick to organize a team to remove the mold and to install air scrubbers to clean the air. He was very straightforward with pricing and different options, giving me a chance to decide between different costs. He also assisted with an A/C contractor to clean the vents and did this very professionally, I would certaonly recommend this vendor and would use them int he future myself

Very satisfied. Didn't try to get the whole job. Hope I never need them again, but would call them if needed.

Josh was wonderful. His men were very professional and performed all the work quickly and to my satisfaction. Josh is the most caring, honest, reliable gentleman I have hired to do work for me. I have found most workers in Florida try to scam seniors, but not Josh. I would definitely recommend him.

Their work is great. This fall, I noticed that there is a crack in between the window frame and wall. When they were removing the damaged areas, they cracked my marble window sill. They couldn't find a replacement so they had to repair the crack.

Josh came to our home and was extremely knowledgeable. He was also very friendly. He offered a free estimate and determined that we did not need his services but gave us advise on how to proceed with the issue. We appreciate Josh's honesty of the situation and proved he has the customer's best interest in mind. I would definitely recommend their services in the future.

This company had it together from day one, and Josh was a champ, a real nice guy and transparently honest from day one! They came, they saw, they explained and then they tackled each problem using great equipment and some impressive technology, all while providing me with helpful options and recommendations. They also made me feel extremely comfortable during the entire process by working directly with my insurance company, making my financial situation much more manageable. Quite frankly, they where the best part of this fiasco, and while I hope to never have to rely on them again, but if I "ever" have a situation that falls within their spectrum of services, it would be a no brainer. Thanks guys!

They were excellent and was pleased with work.

I spoke with Josh on the phone and expressed our situation and concerns. He arranged for Allen to come out and check for moisture/mold inside our home. Allen was VERY professional and put my mind at ease, I wanted to make sure that we didn't have any water leaks in our home or moisture trapped between the sheetrock. We are doing a first floor renovation and I wanted to make sure that we didn't have any hidden problems before we spent a large amount of money on new wood floors, cabinetry, furniture, etc. Allen validated what I had already suspected, moisture and a moldy smell was coming up from a hole where a sink drain pipe went through to our crawl space. There were large gaps between the pipe and the concrete sub-floor above our crawl space. It was clear to see with his infrared laser that this was the major cause of our problem. We are in a community of 9 Town Homes on Intercoastal (in a wake zone) in Highland Beach, FL. Our Town Homes have crawl spaces that are at least 6-7' tall and run the entire length and width of our homes. Typically they are dry and dusty. In October and parts of November the tides are high, this combined with the large amount of rain we have had our crawl space was like a swamp. This made for even more moisture and a dank musty odor in our home. The only unfortunate part is Discrete Restoration does not do waterproofing or vapor barriers in basements or crawl spaces! I highly recommend them and their services.

Josh and his team were wonderful. They showed up on time for the estimate. They were prompt on sending me a proposal. Josh explained exactly what they would be doing and how long it would take. He was right on schedule. The crew was always there on time and was very professional. They were clean and kept updating me throughout the week. They passed the final inspection without a problem.

House visit and then quote for mold remediation was prompt and professional. However, the rebuild portion though promised by a given date, twice, was dropped and so late arriving that the contract had already been awarded to another. If these two parties are to work together and get contracts they need to get the bid process together and timely.

I called Josh to request that he come down to provide an estimate for mold remediation in a house that we were looking into buying. He was very professional over the phone, very accomodating regarding scheduling. He came down the next day and I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He spent a lot of time with us, thorougly examining the parts of the house that had mold, answering all of my many questions. There was mold in 6 different areas in the house and Josh put together a very detailed esimate for us regarding the work that he was proposing to perform. We really would have liked to hire him but the seller of the house ended up bringing in someone else.

Gary was very polite and knowledgeable. I have chosen another company because of a family recommendation, otherwise I would have chosen Discreet Restoration.
