+ 1 moreSal (owner) and EJ were terrific to work with. The work was done professionally, timely and the price was very reasonable. In fact, Sal's price was $1500 LESS than a quote I received for the same work from another Angie's List service provider (ATi Services of Tampa). It pays to shop around, even on Angie's List! I would recommend Kopper Electric to anyone with full confidence, and I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreIt went terrific!! I couldn't have asked for better service and price. They originally were replacing one interior outlet and one exterior outlet. When they arrived, I asked if I could get them to come back some other time to replace an old single, ungrounded exterior outlet and he said he had the parts could do it while he was there. When it came time to pay, he wouldn't take any more than the original estimate. I can't say enough positive things about this experience; they were punctual, professional and got right to work. Excellent, excellent service!!!

Sal actually answers the phone himself, so questions can get answered fast and inefficiently. I was impressed by his patience as he answered my many questions. On the day of the install, Sal and his crew, Brett and Kyle were not just on time they were early, then they worked, diligently and efficiently, while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Everything was left clean and neat. Their work was quality and passed the county inspection. After such a great experience, I had them come back to do some other work and that was met with the same quality work and diligence. The Angie's list price for the upgrade 200 amp panel was EXCELLENT! Look no further if you need to upgrade or replace your panel. He also offers a 10 % discount to all Angie's list customers-- this is a win- win. I now have my go to service provider for electrical and thats a great feeling. No games, quality work and a great service crew. Thank you!

+ 1 moreSal provided an estimate over the phone several weeks before the job. I had several changes since the original estimated but the final price turned out to be more than fair. Sal and his crew (Brett and a younger gentleman who's name I forgot - sorry), arrived on time, were quick, professional and cleaned up afterwards. There were a few minor tweaks needed afterwards, but Sal was more than accommodating to juggle schedules to have his crew come back and modify them. Overall, I highly recommend and would (more than likely have to) call them again as I settle into my new place.
Description of Work: Installed/replaced for ceiling fans, hung a dining room chandelier, installed 2 new cans in a cathedral ceiling/retrofitted others.

+ -1 moreImpressive performance and service. We hired Kopper Electric to update the electrical panel in our 1957 concrete block house in S. Pasadena. Sal and his crew arrived early. They worked quickly and efficiently. They were knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. We were charged $1199. as quoted and an additional $75. service charge for some extra work which we thought was very reasonable. We will be calling on Sal again as we do more improvements to our house. We highly recommend hiring Kopper Electric.

I get that a Contractor can be busy; but don't leave people hanging on waiting for a darn estimate. Just tell someone you're too busy to do the work and then move on.

The team that did the work completed well ahead of the scheduled time. The inspection passed without any issues. Description of Work: This was my first time using a service from a company membered with Angie's List. I called Kopper Electric Inc. to ask some questions leaving a message on the voice mail. I never heard back from them. That should have been my clue not to hire them. But I needed my outdoor electrical outlets fixed to get our Christmas lights up. I went ahead and purchased a package to repair 2 outlets providing 3 days I would be available for them to come to the house. Again, I never heard from Kopper Electric. No phone call, no email message, no text!!!! Meanwhile, I had already paid for the services...$171.00 for to replace 2 receptacles. After - few days of not hearing from anyone, I called Angie's List Corp Office immediately!! They were wonderful and credited my account. Within 48hours I received an email that my account was credited for the full amount along with several apologies for my inconvenience. I did receive emails from Angie's List, thanking me for my order etc. they were very professional, unlike Kopper a Electric. A service that would have cost me $171 plus perhaps another $200 for the extra work ($371) cost me $610 instead. This was my first and last time I will order a service from this program. I am keeping my membership to evaluate other businesses. I never did read up on reviews written about Kopper Electric. I assumed since they were a member of Angie's List, the reviews would be good. Again, my mistake. I don't recommend Kopper Electric's services to anyone and also, just because you're thinking of hiring a company who is an Angie's member, don't assume the reviews will always be good ones. Again, STAY AWAY FROM KOPPER ELECTRIX INC.

+ -1 moreI got a quote from Sal before Thanksgiving and then we set a date for the work to be done. I was having my hot tub hooked up with 220 and since I had the hot tub at 2 other houses, I provided the wiring. Turns out my new house is wider and Sal's guys EJ and Kyle couldn't use it. So, Kopper had to charge me for the wiring and raised the bill by $192 which I was completely ok with. EJ and Kyle were actually outside my house before 8am and when I saw them, I let them in early ro start the job. They're efficient, informative and professional. I highly recommend Kopper Electric and will use them myself again when I need electrical work done.
Description of Work: Copper Electric hooked 220 power for my hot tub and my shallow well for irrigation. They also did me a favor by putting the remote receivers in my Tiki bar fans.

+ -1 moreThey were okay. They had to come back. Their problem, I'm sure they've told everybody, is that all the equipment they use today is made in China. We had outside switches put on. There was no problem. It worked when they installed it. We never used it. A year later, the first time we ever went to use it, it didn't work. When the guy came to replace it, he said, "That's no problem. That's exactly what's happening these days. We have to use what we can get and we can only get 'Made in China' stuff and it doesn't work." He just put another one in. He said, "This one is also made in China." The guy was great. He came and did the job. The workmanship was fine. There were no problems at all on both visits - the initial installation and the replacement. All work was done in no time at all. Everything was fixed and he was gone. I only used them purely and simply because it was a deal with Angie's List.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from them. They put in switches for us.

The work was done very quickly, and I saved money because the electrician told me that I did not actually need some of the work that other electricians had told me I did need. An honest electrician is one I will call back any time I need electrical work done.

I checked a couple of references and both gave glow references for Kopper. Sal came back repeatedly to finish up the electric even though the multiple return trips were not his fault. His people were all professional and really tried to keep us happy. His prices were also considerably less than other competitive bids that i received. If you are on the fence regarding which electric contractor to use just call Sal. You will be happy you did.
