Bill Parr was heinous. The last day he was nice and professional was the first day we handed him a check, 50% of the total payment. Job was $46,000 to him, plus $20,000 to his preferred appliance vendor (read: forces you to use, and aggressively belittles otherwise, as he gets cuts on hardware etc.) And the job with floors was 111,000 - so he should have been very happy we were willing to pay that much so that he could get his 46,000 and other kickbacks. Yet, as soon as we gave him the 50% down, he was huffy with any phone calls. Another person using him at same time said she was belittle by him for being the woman, man should make the money decisions, can't she (Snell Isle?!?) afford to just buy the hardware through him? (We bought cabinet hardware through him - so he got his cut - yet others who say "I can find this cheaper elsewhere get aggression from him). He added at $1,000 "project management" fee. I used to be a PM. He PM'd nothing. Completely reactive. My husband and I had to prompt him 2 months after we wrote him that big check - hey - shouldn't we be making some key decisions, appliances etc? He was like "Oh, yeah, so - go down to this store and make some pix." (When originally they sold us on all the high touch consulting they do and on how his girlfriend Peggy is a designer to help with design decisions. No offense to her, but she was mis-sold. When it came to backsplash decisions, she just smiled and nodded. Our installer was the only one who knew about finishes, layout etc. Bill really missold things. And then when communication repeatedly broke down, he owned nothing - and literally blamed others on his team. Blamed Brian our awesome amazing perfectionists cabinet installer with whom we spent over a month peacefully. He blamed Pavimento when HE forgot about a granite decision change that HE prompted because HE came over and said "I've got an idea." He was last minute on things. And whereas other people could handle simple questions (Brian, Pavimento, our floor workers). Again, if we called to check on things, he'd say "Just call my girlfriend Peggy - I'm in the field, I'm in the field." We'd call Peggy and she'd say "Uh -I'll have to check with Bill on that." At one point he went off the handle because at the last minute he randomly proposed a change, we said no, stick with the original plan, and he then said 'You people have it in for me!!!" So freaky. And when we gave him the balance of the massive payment, he didn't even look us in the eye. Just kept eye on check. Yet - everyone else that was here - we got along great. We even had a floor company really make a big mistake, yet the owner (Sean, Seer) was awesome and just dealt with it like an owner. Said "Hey - I see that got damaged, we'll make it right, let's talk through the options." That's normal - how business and relationships move forth. But Bill would bristle at even a QUESTION. And then if he's clearly made a mistake (we have e-mail chains to prove - so when he denied something we'd agreed, he refuted, so we had to bring up the e-mail, and then he stormed out - as if leaving would make the issue go away. Such a horrible experience with him. And there were so many errors that we had to micro manage and predict - and bring together communication to solve issues - yet at the end he wouldn't even discount his $1000 PM fee by 10%. ZERO reach to connect with customer. And electrical issues occurred with the lights inside the cabinet, and we'd paid $2200 for bill's electrician to come install, but b/c Bill was on point to solve the issue, he REFUSED to call the electrician back b/c that would cost HIM money. SO on 3 occasions (project ended late July) - so in late August, then last Sept and early Oct - he came back, climbed up ladder in our kitchen, and fiddled. And when I said "Bill - why don't you call a professional electrician - we paid top dollar for a pro job." He said "Get over yourself, this is low voltage, I can do this." I was literally shaking the last time he left. Still have a bit of an issue in one cabinet, but never want him in house again.

"Well [Member Name Removed], that is quite the story. If you were going to spend so much time and effort on such a novel you really should have stated the real story. From the minute we signed a contract you began threatening us with a bad review so this is no surprise. We made every effort to satisfy the endless unreasonable requests however you had every intention of blaming us for your indecisiveness from the very beginning. I do want to remind you that upon completion of your project, you, your husband, your designer, Bill and myself where all in your kitchen as you paid us and raved about your kitchen. We were on time, on budget with a high quality product. Enjoy your beautiful kitchen!"

J&B was a pleasure to work with from start to finish!  I first met Peggy in the showroom and she was extremely patient while I struggled to pick out a replacement countertop for our Corian but that would with our existing granite countertops (which I didn't have sample of but she happily worked from a photo).  Peggy had a keen eye and great insights and she helped me pick out 4 possible contenders and let me bring them home to study in our kitchen.  Meanwhile, Bill came out to our house and measured for all the different cabinet changes, helped us brainstorm some options, and reassured us that he could match our current cabinets even though they were not custom.  He was clearly experienced, very pleasant, and thoughtful about all of the details.  We signed the contract and things worked very smoothly over the next 6 weeks or so.  The subcontractors Bill used were all excellent, professional, and easy to have in our home. The quality of the new cabinets is amazing and Bill's ability to match our existing cabinets surpassed our expectations.  We are thrilled with our updated kitchen and grateful to both Bill and Peggy for their excellent taste, attention to detail, and great follow-up on every last detail.  Best of all, though, Bill and Peggy are both honest, hard-working, and pleasant people.

They did an excellent job.  Even though it was a small job, they provided exceptional service.

Bill and Peggy were great to work with. Initially met with us to assess the current kitchen and had great ideas on changes. We were able to save and reconfigure the existing custom cabinets in our very large kitchen and butler's bar area. Gave us many choices and that varied in cost so we could make value decisions. Our schedule changed many times due to other renovations going on and they were great with the changes. They also assisted in selections for 2 new bathrooms in an addition to our home. We hanged the configuration after selections and it was " No problem". They also gave us great leads on a an appliance supplied and mirror/shower door company. Would use them again!

We had fun choosing the cabinet style, the color, the hardware, and  the counter top.  Peggy was very patient and helpful;  and, she was very friendly and professional as was everyone connected with the installation. The workers  cleaned up after themselves, which is a plus in my book.

The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous.  If I had a picture I would post one on here.  The quality of the cabinets is very nice.  They have the easy shut drawers.  I had a black distressed custom cabinet designed and a split bath with his/hers done in cream color with antiquing.  They both look absolutely fantastic.  The installation was done perfectly.  Every line exactly straight and level.  I want to save up and have them do my kitchen soon.

The project was a huge success, on budget and on time. It was recommended that we cut a hole in the counter-top and have trash pullout below to hide the trash; what a great recommendation.  Now our break room does not have open trash cans sitting around and it also assists with odors. It is now a place where our employees enjoy spending their breaks and lunch time. In addition to the break room, new cabinetry and counter tops were also demo'd and installed in the employee restrooms.  Everyone was very professional and there was minimal disruption in the course of our business.
