I called to get a ballpark estimate over the phone for installing a few new electric receptacles, prior to purchasing the Big Deal. The woman I spoke with indicated they aren't able to provide any estimates over the phone, and I would need to proceed with spending $99 on the big deal just to get someone out to provide the estimate. I understand there are myriad variables that could potentially impact the ultimate cost of a job, however come on people! For a job as straight forward as installing a couple new outlets, why not quote a ballpark estimate and then caveat it with "cost is subject to change" if there are unanticipated complexities? I think it's reasonable to want to know if would be additional out of pocket expenditure for the job I want done, beyond the "$259" of work I would be purchasing via the big deal. How do I even know how many receptacles can be installed for an arbitrary value of $259 if a ballpark estimate can't be provided??

i called to find out what's the $59.00 all about on angieslist well, this is a charge to come out to the site therefore when they come out to do an estimate alone, you are automatically charged $59.00. that is not a good deal nope...most companies don't charge at all because they are close to the site. therefore chose someone who is not based in sarasota for heaven's sake...if the job is located in tampa

They showed up on time, and did the work quickly. They were very professional and did a great job.

Nice and educational visit. Professional tech. Unfortunately the quote was higher than the competition. If not, Bolt Electric would have received the job.

They did nothing, no services rendered

Evidently, the money I spent (and asked be returned) was just for getting a quote and they couldn't even do that until fifteen days. Then, who knows when they could do the actual service. And, what it would cost. Simple service request. Really no need for a quote. Should be standard cost .

I purchased Angie's List Big Deal for electrical services. The provider showed up on time and after I explained what I needed, he explained the service could not be provided with the lighting fixtures that are currently installed. He was very professional and I appreciated his suggestions.

They were scheduled twice when they didn't show or call. I contacted them again to get the work scheduled but they didn't do anything to try to resolve it or get it scheduled. I asked for a refund. They have horrible communication!

On time.-- Explained pricing -- The service call was included in the and quot;Big Dealand quot; from Angie's List.-- I check price for the surge protector installed by Bolt Electric: list price is $166; however, I found same item available on Amazon for $78 plus $10 shipping. I have the electrical chores I needed completed by certified electricians, but I feel there was no real and quot;discountand quot; using Angie's List. The List Prices for my services follows: 1) Install Flood Lights (customer provided flood light kit and light bulbs) $258 2) Replace Two Electrical Sockets (Sockets provided by Bolt) $118 3) Install Surge Protection in Electrical Panel Box (part provided by Bolt) $268 4) and quot;F.F.S. Charges (printed on invoice) $11.75 Total Charges: $644.00 Less Angie's List Promo ($200.00) Service Call ($59.00) Angie's List Promo Charge $99.00 Total Adjusted Charge for Complete Job $495.75 In the end I did get service from a licensed electrician. I just do not believe the and quot;Big Dealand quot; was much of a and quot;Bigand quot; deal at all.

Other companies I contacted quoted me $250 and Bolt quoted $398 so even with the coupon it would have been more with them, they dropped price to $310 but it was still higher.

. I called the company because I was thinking about purchasing the $99.00 Angie Special. I need outside outlets installed. I just wanted a general idea of approx how much they charge per outlet to see if I would benefit from the deal. ie. Would they do one outlet for a value of $200.00 which seems high or 4 outlets? She refused to give me any ballpark number. Her repetitive answer was buy the deal and see. I asked to have the manager call me back. She supposedly took my name and number but no one ever called. That was last month. I can understand each house is different, but if they have been in the business any length of time there must be someone there who can tell me the average. I didn't. want to spend $99.00 and then have them tell me an outlet cost $350.00 meaning I would have to come up with more money.

Bolt Electric was great. I just figured out that the light in my kitchen was really okay. The switch in the breaker box was tripped but didn't look like it in the breaker box. So all is well.

I had some problems with the original work they'd done, so I bought another Big Deal. This time we were able to figure it all out and it's fine now.

Purchased Angie's List promotion for this vendor. No contact from vendor within agreed upon time-frame. Spoke with Matthew at Angie's List.

The first electrician who came out to give us the estimate was very professional. We went over specifically what we wanted done. On the day of service, a different technician showed up and basically changed everything we discussed with the first technician. We purchased the security lights as suggested. Because the tech put up the different mounts, we had to purchase differentlights and my husband put them up. The Second tech was very capable and did a good job. My main problem is that the person who came and went over everything with us should have come back as he stated he would. When the 2nd guy showed up he said he was caught on another job. So, that's it. Overall the work was done well, just not how we originally planned.

I initially had them because when I would turn on the light switches the lights wouldn't work. They came out and told me I needed a lot of work done including replacing all of the outlets in the entire house. They explained the outlets were not up to code. They replaced the outlets and most of the lights now work. I noticed some of the switches are no longer or never worked because I didn't check. The owner was very contentious because they had to move a lot of furniture to do the electrical work. He was careful and moved every piece of china out of the china cabinet himself. I am still a little confused why not all of the switches will work.

He told me it had a lifetime warranty and it took about 10 minutes. The job was well done by a nice young man.

They said they were rated very well and they said contact by July 1, but they did not call. They were booked up and unable to schedule me in within a few weeks. The demeanor was abrupt and she was not very accomadating.

The technician was very professional and helpful. He did a wonderful job!

Electrician called and came one day earlier. He installed unit explained how it works, verified my ground was good and did not try to up sell for more work. Very professional and I would use them again...

The all experience was articulate, he was very professional and the customers service was very thorough. She made things work with my schedule. They had good recommendations on Angie's list.

Their responsiveness was very good. They're very responsive to customer needs and concerns. Communication was very good from them. There were still some issues when they left and they came back out within a couple to days to trace and fix a loose wire.

Waited 2 weeks for appt.. When they came the price was way more than I was interested in paying. Waste of time.
