Exactly as expected.

This firm sent Tom to look at the equipment and give us an estimate. Not only did he look at the unit but he got right to work and cleaned the air handler of years of dirt. Then we discovered some insulation had fallen down and was blocking the flow of air thru the ductwork. Tom removed that insulation and provided us with an estimate of $1600 parts and labor to replace the compressor. He told us the new compressor unit had to be compatible with our air handler and found one that was compatible. He returned the next day and promptly replaced the compressor which is working fine. He was very thorough in setting up the new unit and ensuring it was working properly. . Tom, the technician, was very thorough and punctual and explained all that had to be done to ensure our a/c was working properly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this firm to my neighbors and I would use them again.

Their prices were great and they were phenomenal. I was really impressed because they came out the afternoon of my initial call for an estimate. I had the AC installed within 2 days.

Everything went well. It's a local family-owned company. Whenever we use them, they are professional, on time, and do excellent work.

They responded quickly to an AC outage and fixed the problem very quickly. They provided some feedback on the overall health of our AC system and were very helpful in general.They even offer a discount to Angie's list members. Very happy with this company and will use them for future issues.

JERRY BRITTINGHAM A/C & HEAT INC responded on the same day that I called. He was thorough and noted that the coil was icing up (due to low pressures). He checked the thermal expansion valve, ensured the unit cycled correctly and performed a leak test on both the inside and outside unit. He concluded that if there was a leak it was a nuisance leak and he could not locate it, this is the same result and conclusion with another A/C contractor I dealt with 3 years earlier. We suspect that the leak may be under the concrete slab in the chase where the refrigerant lines are run. As per the other A/C contractor Jerry recommended that we perform a service call every 2-3 years and get pressures checked, since it is Pruron system there is minimal impact to environment and its a minor loss of refrigerant. He noted our thermostat and advised they were problematic and I agreed it was (other contractors mentioned the same too) and it was displaying off temps and never ran very stable in temp control but I had already ordered a replacement which came via mail later that day after he left. When I went to install it that night a wire came off terminal and shorted out the 24vac transformer (I did shut off the circuit before doing so but the wire came loose off terminal block after I installed it and turned the breaker back on). I called Jerry the next day on saturday morning and Billy called back, I told him what happened and he was so very nice and walked me through a simple repair (replacing fuse in the inside unit) and saved me a service call. They were very very nice and the pricing for their services very competitive and not exbortinant. The following monday they called back to make sure everything was running ok and if we needed any other help! Amazing service, nice folks, family run business. I will use them for A/C services from here on out, they were excellent!

This is the second time they came. They serviced my AC (the yearly maintenance) last year, and we'd noticed a lack of Freon at that time. The old AC unit was 10 years old (Goodman), and it leaked to the point of having not enough Freon. The inside unit iced. He did find the leak (one of them), and tried to solder 3 times, but the leak was stronger.. :( After that, we talked about prices of a new unit.... What got me to rate the overall experience FAIR vs. good/excellent is that the leak detecting machine kept beeping randomly. I'm not an expert, but now that I did see other contractors look at the system to find leaks, I know that machine isn't supposed to beep randomly while being away from the unit pointing up in the air! Maybe it was low on batteries, but it made no sense at the time, and makes no sense today why it beeped sooo much while being away from the unit. I don't have a Freon leak everywhere in the garage!

We called them with the issue of our back of the house a/c not working. We had a service call within an hour and a new unit installed (we knew we needed a new one) within another 48 hrs. They didn't charge us for the service call (I'm guessing because we were having them install a new unit), the Tech was polite and showed me all his work. The warranty given was pretty standard, but the respect for our time, property, and wallet was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Timely arrival. Professional job from start to finish. Best price by far of half dozen estimates. Very satisfied. As an update, I attempted to get them to come out and put a new cover but they never responded. I ended up doing it myself.

This is a good operation. These folks are friendly and work hard to keep appointments and perform services as advertised. I had zero problems and found them to be very competent. Yes, I would use their services again.

I phoned the company today around eleven 11 o'clock and my call was answered in a very professional manner. I explained the reason for my call and as a new customer provided some routine information. As my request was not an emergency, the operator explained that she would refer me request for an appointment as soon as possible. In about fifteen minutes I received a call that serviceman Mike would be coming in about forty-five minutes. Within thirty minutes Mike arrived and completed the repair and service on my air-conditioning system. Jerry Brittingham is an exceptional company that provides an extremely high level of service.

This is the first time I'm having an AC yearly maintenance done, so I wanted to stay and watch and understand what's going on. Tom didn't seem to mind doing and explaining what he did when I asked. :) The main AC part in the garage was well. A bit low on freon, so Tom charged it. The outside part is well too, but motor is noisy and will die one day. It took one hour total, between explaining everything, charging freon, cleaning pipe, and re insulating a piece of pipe outside, and checking all the check list points for the AC. At the end, I even asked about getting a programmable thermostat and Tom quickly said the company could. I just have to call, and will do so! Everything was excellent.

Everything went great, on time, quick diagnosis, quick repair and our air conditioner was working fine.

The appointment went very well. He was very honest. His price was reasonable. He was very responsive.

From phone call to service everything went very smoothly and they were excellent in all respects.

Great! The air conditioner had been repaired by another company several months earlier but it hadn't been recently used. When it was no longer cooling again, I decided to call someone from Angie's List. Jerry's tech came out on Saturday because it was very hot. He quickly determined that when the copper tubing was replaced by the other company, the tech neglected to replace a cone washer so the freon had leaked out. It was an old unit so he didn't have the part with him and wasn't sure if he had one at the shop but assured me he could find one. We couldn't be there on Monday when the tech returned to complete the job so we had to leave the garage door open for him. No problem. The air conditioner worked great and they charged exactly what they had quoted.

I have problems with allergies and after much research, decided to install an electrostatic air cleaner which is installed in the duct coming from the air handler unit. Tom the technician arrived on time with no issues. He spoke with us about what was going to be done and did it! Very neat, and knowledgeable. The unit works fine. Not too many contaminates in the air now...

THEY SHOWED UP EARLY ON THE MORNING THEY STATED THEY WOULD COMMENCE WORK. BOTH TECNICIANS WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND WENT ABOUT THERE TASK IN AN EXTREMLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER.WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED THEY CLEANED UP THE AREA AND LEFT IT IN A VERY CLEAN CONDITION.I CAN NOT SAY ENUFF ABOUT THIS COMPANY,THEY WERE SUPER FROM THEIR FIRST CONTACT WITH AN EXCELLENT ESTIMATE REGARDING TIME TO INSTALL AND WHAT WAS TO BE INSTALLED IN THE HOME.

AIr was not blowing cold. Called Brittingham (referred by an associate). A/C tech came out and tested system and found condenser to be bad. Quoted a price and came the next day and fixed it. The young serviceman eas very professional and explained everytiong and showed us what went wrong with it. They were very professional and I am very happy with the work!!

Jerry and his Son Billy have been servicing our A/C units for over ten years. They respond to emergency service usually within several hours, even on the weekends. They are respectful of our property, I believe them to be absolutely honest and never to recommend unnecessary work or material. When new units are required, they have always been the most reasonable in price. I would give them the highest recommendation.
