Description of Work: My 5-year- old TV was not working suddenly. I called Venus to see if it was worth fixing, which it wasn't. He recommended that it would be best to buy a new one, for the price to fix it would be $600. So I replaced the 55 inch with a new Samsung for about $850. I didn't enjoy spending $69.95 for the service call, but have no complaints about Venus. Very nice gentleman.

Description of Work: Bill was prompt and did a fast, excellent job repairing me TV. It would not turn on correctly and he replaced some fuses and it works fine now. I would definitely recommend him to friends and use him in the future. I didn't even ask for the discount because I was so pleased with his work.

Description of Work: I spoke w/ Bill at Venus Electronics after my Hitachi plasma TV died. After providing Bill with the model number and the problems I was experiencing, he was able to tell me what (most likely) was wrong with the TV, the approximate cost ($500 - $600) and advised me it was not worth my money to repair but better to replace. Bill saved me from wasting money on a service call when it was not necessary, even though he lost money by doing that.

 + 0 moreService was straight forward with no surpirises--just the way it is supposed to be. Bill knows his stuff, and does the work in a very timely fashion. You trust him to give you good advice. Again, give him a call before you go to ensure he's in the shop. Oh, the shop is kinda interesting--you'll find it most interesting. Good place to take electronics in need of repair.
Description of Work: The first piece of equipment was a TV. Bill took a look at it and told me what the problem was. When I told him the unit was barely 1.5 years old and out the warranty he suggested I call Samsung and discuss the repair. As a reslt he saved me over $100 in parts and I only paid for labor. Totally excellent service! The other item was a CD changer and he had that fixed in no time and for a reasonable price. Seems like so many repair places don't want to REPAIR electronics--replace them instead. Bill seems like he's from the old school of thought that if you can fix it, then do so. You need to call before you go because he makes house calls and his shop is closed if he's out. He's worth the wait.

 + -1 moreTook unit to Bill at Venus received estimate and he proceeded to repair my unit with parts ( as opposed to a whole new more expensive power suppy ) to repair my unit. Service was prompt. He was not at his shop when I went there, called him and made an appointment within hours. Very Happy with his service, knew what he was doing.

He called back within an hour and after telling him the problem, found he was at least $70.00 cheaper then other establishments I had contacted. He set an appt for the following Monday, came to the house, repaired the TV and left, all in a very timely manner. I will definitely keep his number handy for future needs.

Bill's estimate was the most reasonable - I had, at first, thought I would just replace the TV, but couldn't find one that I liked. So I took it to him and he had it fixed within 2 days. I am very happy with his service and would contact him again and recommend him highly.

Description of Work: Repaired older tube tv, very large and heavy, did service in-home. Expert service, opened up the tv, went inside and made adjustments to the G2 controlller to send more signal to the picture tube (?). Went from picture flashing and ready for dumpster, to a like-new picture.
