Painting the exterior is the last step in a gut rehab where we have had more than a dozen tradesman through doing various tasks. Garry was the best by a large margin. He did a fantastic job and the results are amazing. He was great at communicating everything he was doing with each step in the process so we knew what he was doing and what to expect, something we really appreciated. He was extremely fair, was extremely helpful in helping us pick colors, worked with us on several extra add-ons (patio, driveway and walk). He also cleaned up after himself and didn?t leave a mess behind. His work was excellent which is obvious from how well the job turned out, and he was one of the most reasonable bids we received. The value was outstanding and we recommend Garry highly.

Very pleasant, a real southern gentleman, he showed up when he said he would, and answered his phone or returned calls immediately. He's a master at matching paint, and colored the replacement grout for each specific spot on the marble. It's completely undetectable. He also filled a gouge on a wall, textured and painted it, and I cannot see where the damage had been. I will definitely use him again and am happy to recommend him.

Nelson brothers just finished painting our home today. It was a very professional job. The color was a light yellow which was tough to cover the previous paint. The first coat was a primer with a yellow tone and then two additional coats which were rolled on. The results look great. Everything was completed as promised plus some extra credit.

Garry promptly returned my initial call. He made an appointment to come to my house to write an estimate for total exterior painting. He arrived on time. He SEEMED professional. When he performed the walk-around of the exterior of my house, he asked me to follow him so that he could point out all of the areas that he would pay special attention to, when painting. He mentioned several times that he 'liked what he saw'. He also mentioned that he would like to receive an 'A' grade from me on Angie's list, once he finished the project. He promised to e-mail an estimate to me by Tuesday and at the latest by Wednesday, He acted as if he was very interested in getting this job. However, he never sent the estimate. I called Garry several times beginning Wednesday afternoon, through Thursday afternoon, to no avail. Garry finally called me Thursday afternoon to tell me that he had decided that my house is too far north for him to bother with, even though it's in his company's work territory, Brevard County, I'm very upset with him for not denying the job when I first called him, or minimally, once he visited the job site, and knew the exact location of it. I don't understand why he didn't call me once he decided that he didn't want the job. It's as if he was never going to call to inform me of his decision, had I not bothered him with so many voice messages, asking for him to call me. This behavior is very unprofessional, disappointing and a major waste of time for potential customers.

Garry was very attentive, responsive and conscientious through the whole process and committed to doing a high quality job -- even if it took more time and effort than expected. This is probably the fifth house I have owned that I have had Nelson Brothers paint for us. They are honest and trustworthy. I will use them again and again.

I am so happy with our experience with Nelson Brothers Painting. The quality of their work is excellent, and their rates are very reasonable. They were very easy to work with; they completed the job, exactly as promised, in a very efficient, professional manner. We even made some last minute requests, and the Nelson Bros were happy to accommodate us. I was especially impressed by how neat they were; not a drop of paint anywhere in the house, no tools or equipment lying around the house at the end of the day. And the end result, as I said before, is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful work guys! I highly recommend Nelson Brothers Painting.

We interviewed and received quotes from several painters on angie's list and decided to go with the Nelson Brothers. Gary did a great job on the house. He let us know what his plans were everyday and went above and beyond our expectations. He did alot of little extras and the end result was wonderful. The house and pool deck look brand new. If you are looking for hard working, honest, experienced painters, the Nelson Brothers are the painters for you!

After receiving estimates from several painters we agreed to have Garry and Larry paint the exterior of our house. Paint date was set. Brothers arrived timely and every morning told us what they were doing, always checking to make sure we were in agreement. An example of their honesty and integrity...One project we asked them to paint didn't need painting after their good washing. They came to us and asked if we still wanted it painted. The garage door looked new so we decided not to have it painted. They deducted it from our bill. We were impressed with their honesty. The Nelson brothers did everything we asked them to do PLUS extras. From washing our house, patching cracks, re caulking around all the windows, sealing and especially painting we are VERY happy. They always cleaned up every night, were always cheerful and took pride in their work. They are professional, always courteous, respectful and very honest. Our house is beautiful thanks to the Nelson Brothers. A job well done! Professional painters they are! We will enthusiasticly recommend the Nelson Brothers.

After interviewing several painters (most who were also on Angie's List) I selected Nelson Brothers Painting to paint the exterior of my parent's home. Garry Nelson showed up as scheduled to provide me with a detailed estimate of the job. Once we scheduled the job they started on-time, and completed the work on-budget. Throughout the process the communications from them and responsiveness to any questions I had were outstanding. When finished the house looks great and we continue to receive nothing but compliments about how much better the home looks.

The Nelson Brothers are excellent communicators, show up when they say they are going to be there, and get the job done professionally and fully satisfactory. I will use them for all my painting needs and you should too... you will not be disappointed.

Hard to believe the brothers are twins but they are good at what they do. They said what they will do which included pressure wash, prepare, paint and clean up. Then they did more than that. Great business. Thanks Nelson brothers.

These guys are terrific! Not only are they knowledgeable, excellent painters but they are nice folks to boot. They were willing to squeeze our job in during the holidays cheerfully. Their charges were reasonable, the results were excellent, and they were a pleasure to have around. We would not hesitate to recommend them and we will be calling on them again.

These two guys were a pleasure to have in our home. They are both professional and personable. I have had other contractors in my home and some of them I would never hire again. We are in the process of selling our property and I only wish I could pack Gary and Larry so they could paint my new home. Their work was excellent!!

Nelson Brothers were professional and courteous from the start. They returned my call immediately when I called for an estimate . The work I wanted done was extensive and they gave me a written estimate that covered all of it. The best thing about Gary and Larry is they kept me informed every day as to what they were doing, they must really like what they do because even my neighbor commented that they were always happy. They are a pleasure to be around. They were very knowledgable about the paint and products used. They kept everything very clean and cleaned up and let me know whenever they went to lunch or left for the day. I can't recommend them enough. I only wished I had used them when I had the interior painted a few years ago. My house looks fabulous!

He was very nice and personable however he was so late to meet with us that he rushed through our appointment because he was also late to meet with his wife for dinner. He walked around the house asking questions and explaining things well. When he breezed through the house I looked forward to hearing his estimate because I got the impression that he would be fair and honest. So imagine my shock when I NEVER heard from him again. No phone call, no email, not even a note on the door. I wish could say his prices were fair or his work was good but I will never know. Not even an apology for totally ignoring me. This was a big job we wanted done and we had the cash in hand to get it done. I will never contact him again and if any of you Angies' List users do, please be wary because I have no clue why this happened to us. Very unprofessional!

We were extremely pleased with the quality of work performed by Gary and Larry Nelson. We had recently purchased the home and was in need of drywall repair. They did an excellent job and re-textured the repairs so when painted the walls looked new. We had a couple of drywall issues with the ceiling but did not want to reprint the entire ceiling. Gary made the repair and mixed up some paint and it matched perfectly on the first try. All in all, this was a great experience and being new to the area we relied on Angie's List for a painter. By the way, Larry and Gary are identical twins and hard to tell them apart. They have been painting together since high school. They were a pleasure!
