Great workmanship
Description of Work: We were searching for a quality tiling company for our bathroom remodel and although Suncoast were unable to do the work Chuck recommended another company who did a great job for us. It is refreshing to find a contractor who is prepared to recommend another company if they are unable to carry out the work.

The completed the job as promised, under budget and kept a very clean job site. I was very pleased with their level of professionalism, responding quickly from the initial request for proposal, answering email and phone questions, through completion of the job. Although this was a small job, I would highly recommend this company and am in the planning stages for the next project with them.
Description of Work: Suncoast remodeling added a small storage closest in my screened in lanai. Working from drawings, Chuck came on site to discuss details on how to execute. He listened to what my needs and wishes were and made recommendations, as needed.

To fully understand how pleased I was with Suncoast, I think it is worthwhile to tell you about the people that I did not hire. Since this was a rather large project and because I wanted to make certain I did not have to redo any work I got estimates from six different contractors. Two of the contractors came in lower than Suncoast for the bathrooms but would not even give me a price for the kitchen. In addition, both of those were individuals that I was unsure of their workmanship and professionalism from the start. The other four contractors I felt would follow through with the job and do quality workmanship. Of the remaining four contractors two came in significantly high. One was competitive with Suncoast but Suncoast still beat that contractors price. Additionally, Chuck clearly laid out a time line that allowed work to start faster. Coming from North Carolina I am constantly amazed by the number of hustlers here in Florida. Chuck's demeanor an professionalism gave me a high comfort level to move forward with the project. And while not a requirement I was delighted that his partners had a good, overall attitude and projected a professional appearance (i.e. looked and acted like people that I would like to be around). Chuck and I worked on a scope of work and estimate through one meeting and then back and forth through email. We agreed on a start date a couple weeks in advance and he showed up on that start date along with his partners. I was absolutely amazed with the speed of the demolition to my bathrooms. Additionally, they removed the debris every day saving me the charge of a dumpster (one of the contractors told me this was a requirement). With the same rigor Chuck and his partners installed a bathtub, built a shower, and put drywall in place in no time. They certainly kept me busy as I was not expecting them to move that fast. The quality of the overall job was very good. Because the house was built in 1955 I knew that getting some aspects to look right (i.e. removal of the tile on the wall and getting the sheetrock to match up with the existing sheetrock) would be a challenge. I was very happy with the results and would highly recommend this team of professionals. If you are reading this response and this is something that you do not do often then you will learn that there is no way that you can plan for for everything that you want in the job. My girlfriend and interior designer came up with some things that were outside the scope of our original contract. Chuck was cool and level headed about these additions and very fair with extra labor needed for them. I was also impressed with the checkpoint meetings that Chuck and I had along the way. He was very detailed with recipes for supplies that he purchased and where they were with the project. His team was also flexible in installing the cabinets I put together from IKEA. They did fantastic with doors and windows. Very Satisfied, Overall.
Description of Work: Suncoast and myself agreed to totally remodel two bathrooms and a kitchen in my 1955 home. They also installed new windows throughout the house, sliding glass doors, and installed recessed lights. This was a somewhat intense job as the bathrooms were original and required removal of tile in bath surrounds as well as bathroom walls. Since the house was constructed in 1955, the tile was attached to a thick mortar that was into the walls. Chuck and his two partners Lucky and Milton did a great job!
Suncoast Remodeling does a tremendous job. Once you get to know them they become part of your family. An estimate was given and then less than a week later the job was complete (actually finished within 2 days). I am expecting a child any day, and Chuck went out of his way to hang some things in the nursery that I couldn't do personally. He also offered to help move the furniture back into the room when it was complete so I wouldn't have to lift things by myself. Just a great team!!
Description of Work: Chuck and his team tore down the old aluminum ceiling in our den. They put up new wood beams and R-19 insulation throughout. Rewired the ceiling fan and drywalled the ceiling making it ready for paint. Added molding around the ceiling. They also drywalled one wall in our den which was never finished from a prior remodel (was still just an exposed cement block wall). Took out the remaining old sliding door track, made it flush. Readjusted the door to make it flush with the new drywall. Added molding around top and bottom of the wall. Not one aspect of this remodel was left undone, everything came out perfectly.

Fantastic. Don't bother looking anywhere else. This company is the most professional, easy to work with, clean, courteous, thorough company you will find. This was a huge job -- removing old, huge, aluminum, plate glass sliders and putting in new... But, not only did they do the removal and installation, Suncoast found me the BEST price for the two enormous sliding glass doors - HUGE savings. These guys come in, do the job, and clean up great. You would never even know they are there! The sliding glass doors look great and work great. I cannot say enough good things about this company - both in quality and price. Don't bother even getting quotes from other door installers.... I probably got about 6 quotes for the doors (unbelievable ripoff prices from others) and 4 quotes from installers -- these guys are the best. (and they do interior doors, windows, etc, just as great).
Description of Work: Suncoast removed and installed SIX sets of major sliding glass doors. Two sliders were enormous -- 219" x 81" and 119" x 81. The remaining four sliders were two 10' and two 8'. Suncoast removed the old (and very dangerous) sliders and replaced with the new sliding glass doors. .....

The BEST company: best price, dependable, professional, ethical, adaptable (to different design ideas and changes!), and great communication. When they were done, you couldn't even remember the walls and the "look" that was there before -- they transformed my house! Don't bother getting quotes from tons of other companies b/c this one is the best (believe me, I quoted way too many others and will always go back to Suncoast). They really do a great job - they clean up well, and you can count on them being there at 7:00 am (if you want). If they can't do a certain project the best, they will recommend someone, and those recommendations all turned out to be great too. All those horror stories you hear about contractors?? Well, you'll never have to worry about that with Suncoast. My remodeling projects could not have gone more smoothly. My house looks great, and I think you can see some of my kitchen demo on their website.
Description of Work: Suncoast did demo/rebuild of several areas: kitchen ($2,000) , bath ($1,880) , and a bedroom/den ($1,230). Oh, also, they turned a hallway into a master bedroom closet, which includes pocket door, cutting out a new door, and building a wall. This was part of a total remodel, so it is hard to break down all that they did. The company knocked down walls in the kitchen separating it from the living room (plaster!) The bathroom was originally two rooms, but they knocked out walls and closets. There was a sliding glass door wall between a bedroom and den that they knocked out. Finally, Suncoast finished all the walls that were knocked out - they basically redid the layout of my rooms by knocking out walls and rebuilding walls through out.

Chuck returned my call promptly and gave me an estimate over the phone. He said that he could come by the following morning around 8 AM and would call when he was one his way. He called right at 8 and said that he would be there at 8:30 which he was. Upon arriving he said that he had time to do the job right away and that was wonderful for me hear. They installed the door that morning and did a wonderful job.
Description of Work: Chuck removed and installed a new front door.
Everything was wonderful. Chuck and his team are absolutely amazing. When we called for an estimate Chuck came in here with confidence and had amazing ideas that really paid off and show in the pictures. His price was way below other competitors. (I had about 6 estimates) They completed the entire job in about 7 work days... Came in on time and left promptly at the same time being sure to clean up as much as possible. Covered our furniture with cloths so they wouldn't get dusty. THE BEST PART ABOUT CHUCK AND HIS COMPANY is his attention to detail. Every little space and corner looked like perfection. He didn't miss anything and wasn't sloppy. He wouldn't stop until it was perfect...(and he didn't add on to the price for this luxury.) Absolutely wonderful experience.
Description of Work: Kitchen: Demolished old kitchen and built-ins. Added new countertops, cabinets, microwave, disposal, accent lighting and dimmers, dishwasher, and tile backsplash. Continued drywall overhang to create a flow in the kitchen. Created a custom bar and bar-top with accent lighting. Floors: Put down approx 1100 square feet of laminate floors and finished off with shoe molding. Porch: Enclosed and insulated screened in porch. Added 4 new double windows, new ceiling fan, new French doors leading out onto the outside deck, and a new door. Added custom tile on the step down to create flow with kitchen. ***(the total price listed includes everything to complete our remodel, from cabinet knobs to flooring to labor)

It went great! I couldn't have asked more from this experience. Chuck and his guys were honest friendly and hardworking. The bathroom looks great. They worked through the bad remodeling job the previous owners had done and all the problems you find with a house built in 1925.
Description of Work: Demolished 60 square foot of tile and sub floor including stand up shower. Replaced the plywood floor and cement sheet rock. Installed new tile including a small closet and shower including the shower pan and ceiling vent. They also repaired our front door so it actually seals when closed.

This is the second time this company has done work for me. I called 4 different companies: 2 gave me estimates and 2 never called back. Since I was happy with they work they did about 7 months ago, I chose them again. The project start date was changed a couple of times but they know that I'm flexible so that was not a problem. They showed up on time and the work went smoothly. I supplied the detector and kitchen lights as well as the dimmer so the above project costs include the electrical supplies they bought and labor. (They gave me the receipt for supplies and the price was slightly less than the bid.) The kitchen lights look great and I'm glad to finally have outlets where I didn't. When the outdoor light didn't perform as expected, Chuck offered to install a different light at no cost that had a greater range of motion -- this was taken care of a few days later.
Description of Work: This was an electrical project. Outside: added a motion detector light and an outlet on the front and back of the house. Screened in porch: added an outlet. Kitchen: changed the overhead light, added a dimmer and added puck (under cabinet) lights.

Very good. I saved costs by agreeing to do any painting myself. Their estimate/cost did not include doors (4) nor windows (3) which I supplied. It included all other material. One note, I late added the 3 window install to the job and changed my deck plans from a 3 entry to a 2 entry. Even though I offered to pay for the additional window installation, they charged nothing as the deck was smaller. Very gracious!
Description of Work: Replaced rear 32" door with new 6' sliding glass door. This involved considerable framing and new drywall. Installed new front door, 3 windows (replacement) and 2 new 32" replacement doors on garage. Built 2 entry deck. Replaced siding. Clean-up.

Suncoast started with a fair estimate and stuck by their word. They were quick and quiet as they worked. They were organized and very professional. They cleaned up nicely after each phase of work and completed the job in the time frame they alotted. I was very pleased with every aspect of the job, start to finish.

I set a date for the work to be done one month after the quote was signed so I would have time to clean the house and move stuff out of the work area. Chuck Milton, and Lucky arrived promptly at 8:15 on the date agreed, worked diligently all day long then came back the next day to finish the job. They were friendly, knowledgeable, skilled in their craft, and the work area was left neat and clean after they were done. This job was the first of several jobs I have planned in the remodeling of an older house, and I plan to contract Suncoast for several more jobs in the remodel. Chuck and I have discussed the next few phases of the remodel and he has provided some valuable insight and suggestions.
Description of Work: I contracted with Suncoast remodeling to remove a drop down ceiling in my kitchen. Chuck and Milton came out and we reviewed the work to be done, within a few days Chuck emailed me with a quote and work order describing the job to be done. I printed up the work order and faxed it back to him. During the process of selecting the contractors for this job I interviewed 5 different contractors and got a tremendous variety in both price and detail of understanding of the job. Ultimately Suncoast was the second cheapest of the 5, but I felt that they had the most hands on experience pertaining to this job. Of all the contractors I spoke with Chuck was the one with the best communications skills and quickest, most reliable, and easiest to get in touch with and work with.

I searched for a company that could move a pump, convert the utility building to a rough cabana and then lay pavers. After 2 months of looking for the right company, I joined Angie's list and decided to call 3 companies instead of just one. I choose Chuck and his crew to do the cabana work. He was here when he said, promptly gave me an estimate and created the vision I described to him. I couldn't be more pleased with the end job. The transformation is fabulous. We had discussed most of the work that needed to be done but things cropped up as we went along and they took it all in stride. I supplied some materials which is one reason why the estimate is so reasonable. They created a great base for me to work from to add finishing touches. If I could give A+ for each category I would. I have recommended this company to my best friends.
Description of Work: Remodel inside and outside of existing 9' x 15' wooden utility building. Convert half into a rough cabana. On the inside: build divider wall, install lattice on walls & ceiling, remove existing window, lower counter, add ceiling fan. On the outside: build and attach bar top to side where window is being removed, build pass through, install shutters, install 3 electric outlets. Rear screened patio: remove existing fan, install new unit. Dining room: move existing fan to utility bldg. Install new light & dimmer.

I appreciated Chuck's patience and willingness to discuss several options in planning this renovation. He also went above and beyond the contract by taping and plastering the drywall!
Description of Work: Structural repairs were made to wall studding and floor joists that had rotted away because of roof leaks. Also, they installed insulation, hung drywall, and cut out a double door opening into another room.
