"update" on the work that was performed. I had initially been
frustrated and not happy with the response time during the process of trying to
get an estimate and then after we ultimately hired them realized that Chuck had
some health concerns that were lending to some of the delays and actually hired
him to do a remodel of our guest bathroom. I was impressed with his work
and even came back and updated and changed my report from a negative to a
positive in response to the good job. Fast forward to about 2 months ago.
My wife had been pointing out to me a discoloration in the wall and what
looked like a leak in my garage right where the guest bathroom is in my home.
I put it off for a couple of weeks and finally had a "leak
detection" service come to my home. They very quickly uncovered the
problem which was was a leak of the "sewer water and toilet water"
under the tile in my guest bathroom. The cause was 100% due to the
installation of the new toilet that was part of the renovation that we hired
Chuck to complete. The wax ring under the toilet was the wrong size and
not even sealed properly. This was also confirmed by a second contractor
that we hired to fix the issues. I tried to reach out to Chuck and
explained the situation and he initially seemed open to at least looking at it
and maybe offering to fix the issue and then it never went further from there.
My wife called him and I called him and he accepted no liability for the
way the toilet was put in the new bathroom despite TWO different contractors
AND the leak detection service all saying this whole problem and issue would
have been avoided had the toilet been installed properly and this leak was
going on for a long time slowly at first. The net net of this whole
debacle is that I had to basically repay to have another contractor rip up all
the tile and base board and "redo" the entire bathroom. This
cost me another $1000 out of my pocket all to just have this leak corrected.
This is what I ultimately got for using Suncoast and Chuck. I
actually had hopes at first that he was a stand up guy and would stand behind his
work and make it right but that did not happen and I hate coming here and
leaving this review and affecting someones ability to find new business but
this is upsetting. It took me a couple of months to come back here and
update on this since it first occurred. I am happy to share the invoice
from the contractor that fixed the bathroom as he suggested he should put a
note in the invoice if and when I wanted to pursue this in small claims court
saying that the toilet was installed incorrectly and this would have been the
result of the contractor doing the bathroom remodel.
We threw some changes at them and they handled them well. Very easy to deal with. The project went longer than we thought and it cost a little more than originally quoted but we are happy with the end results.
I would hire them again.
"Thank you {removed member name} for considering me. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Chuck."
Chuck was very flexible with the many changes or adding of additional work that was not originally talked about. Suncoast was able to work through the many challenging obstacles that came about during our kitchen and bath remodel.
These guys work well together. We are totally satisfied with the job they did from start to finish.
I know we will be hiring them again.
We spent a couple of hours in Home Depot and Lowes picking up materials and they were very patient in pointing out my different options and explaining what was needed.
My house is 70 years old and has a small (6 x 7.5 foot) bathroom which is now the nicest room in the house. The quality of their work is outstanding. No detail was left unattended, they assisted with everything down to how best place the mirror and shelves.
He sent an e-mail the evening of meeting my Husband and I and we agreed to his price and made arrangements for him to come on Friday to complete the work. He and his partner arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. My Husband and I are very, very, pleased with his work and would highly recommend Chuck. My family room looks AWESOME and I have room now!!!!
Thank you to Chuck and his partner for a fantastic job!!!
calculate for estimate they emailed me quote.I emailed them back when they can start
and they told me date for 2 or 3 days that was needed to complete job.
Started on tuesday 10/11/2011 was done 10/13/2011 3-days to finish.
I would highly recommend Suncoast Remodeling for any job.
To sum it all up......................I LOVE my new kitchen!
"Thanks guys for the positive report, we will keep up the good work! Chuck and Milutin."
