Let's Get Moving

I called over a month in advance and wanted the flexibility of two different dates. Quinn was super at offering options so that I could secure the date I needed even though I didn't know until a week before the move. The estimate was more than the actual cost and the movers were efficient and responsive. They came at the time they said they would and provided more help than originally agreed to. They handled everything professionally and took great care with heavier items. They took no breaks and worked quickly from start to finish. What a pleasure to see people with strong work ethics and humanity on top of it all!!!! I would use them again in a heartbeat!!!

My wife, Carol, ONLY called these guys because of the rave reviews on AL. Unfortunately, she must have gotten them on an off day. She has a significant amount of fragile art work and china, fine furniture, etc. They assured her that all the furniture would be blanket wrapped, and she even had shrink wrap that she encouraged them to use over/under the blankets. They were polite and courteous; efficient and fast. All good so far, even went out of their way to swap tables at another location. Where they fell down on the job was their handling of boxes marked "fragile". On arrival, Carol discovered that something had been placed on the box marked "Dishes", compressing the box so much that nested pyrex bowls had to be pried apart by the movers. Several of the other dishes in the box were shattered by the compression. This was the first move for her in which any dishes had been broken at all. After the movers left, she found that a piece of her mother's fine china had also broken, and the top edge of her expensive hutch had a long scrape that wasn't there prior to the move. The real disappointment came when she called to report the damages. The lack of customer service was appalling. She was told that someone from management would contact her the next day. When that day came and went, she had to call again. She was told by 'Matt' that he would 'get the movers side of the story' - a strong inference that she was lying about the damages. Then came the disclaimer about not accepting liability for items they didn't pack. Lesson learned? Never trust movers to understand that "FRAGILE" means "Please, handle with extra care", or apply ordinary principles of good customer service. All she wanted was an apology and her table fixed. Not a good experience at all. BEWARE!!

If you're in the market for a company that will go beyond the call of duty this is it. Matt, actually stood on the top of his personal truck cab in order to lift a couch over a railing to a balcony of my get a couch into my new unit because it wouldn't fit any other way. My hat is off to this group. They even set things up in new unit so I didn't have to bother with it. Showed up on time, clean, efficient, professional, calm and very careful. NO DAMAGES to anything! Everyone has their moving horror stories, and even though these guys had great write-ups here on Angie's list, we were still a little skeptical. Well, we had nothing to worry about - Let's get Moving is the best! I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Punctual, professional, friendly, great hustle, and repectful of our things & our home. It was an insanely hot & humid day when we moved, but these guys never missed a beat or slowed down. Very fair price for the work as well. I would recommend Let's Get Moving without reservation and if I ever move again would use them in a heartbeat.

Excellent! The company representatives communicated quite a bit by email with me, as I was "shopping" for a mover. I had heard horror stories about movers and didn't want to have one of those experiences. I also wanted a good price, as I was only moving 4 miles from rental house. Their estimate for work performed was right on the money. They were prompt, in fact, a little early, which worked for me! I told them their company name was very appropriate, as they "got moving" within minutes of arriving and didn't stop for a break till the furniture was in my new home and I was satisfied with placement. They said I got high marks for being well-organized and clearly marking my items as to where they went. This organization ultimately saved me money, as no time was wasted having to direct the men to where things go. This was the first time I engaged the services of a moving company and it went off without a hitch. I was extremely pleased and would definitely recommend them to others.

Overall, I want to say thanks to our movers. Very cool.

I found them through Angie's List and they provided an estimate that was very reasonable and better than the other companies I had contacted. Our move was a very big one so having Quinn and company (6 guys total) was more help than I could have imagined. I packed as much as I could before the big day but didn't get as much as I wanted, done. The guys came in and like a well oiled machine, took over the house. They were all so pleasant and energetic and were so amazing to work with. They knew my family's names so as the day went on, it became more like we were working alongside our friends and not movers. We were all joking around and having fun! The guys were beyond professional. They didn't use profanity, didn't disappear for extended cigarette breaks, double checked with me about what goes/ stays, and treated all my things with extreme care. It took them 12 hours to complete my move and they were singing and laughing till the end. I will most definitely use Let's Get Moving again and will recommend them to everyone!!!

Moving is not a greaat thing to do : Let's get Moving made it a smooth process, took car of my belongings.

They were prompt, cheerful & courteous. They showed up a half hour early! The guys did a great job and it was a very hot day!

I called one week in advance and gave an overview of pieces of (very heavy) furniture that needed to be moved. The representative was very professional and courteous. He told me it wouldn't be any problem if more pieces were added even the day of the move. On the day of the move, I received a courtesy call 30 min in advance and two men showed up right on time. Because of the assurance I had received when I set up the appointment, we did ask them to move more furniture/boxes than I had originally requested. Even with those additions, the final cost was within a few dollars of the estimated cost. Estimate was for three hours (their minimum), which was fine for us because there was 45 min. travel time between the pick up and delivery locations. Overall, moving is hard but 'Let's Get Moving' made their part of our move painless. They couldn't have been better. They were prompt, friendly and clearly knew how to move heavy items without damaging the furniture or walls.

Though their office apparently didn't relay the information (as to where they would be moving me from) that was both asked of me and provided in detail when I scheduled the move, Steve and Dennis called a half-hour before as promised. They were extremely punctual, arriving at 8:30 AM as promised. They went right to work immediately. During conversation, Steve mentioned he had previously worked for a major national moving company, and his experience showed - he knew just what equipment would be necessary for each moment and piece of furniture, and went right to it with the knowledge of a veteran mover. Dennis was a great complement to Steve's approach, showing great teamwork and a cooperative camaraderie. To be honest, we made the move as simple as possible for them by handling as much of the small stuff and boxes on our own, but that only made the experience better - they finished in under the estimated time, saving us the extra $90 it would have cost if they'd gone into the next hour. They did a great job, were very careful of both the furniture and the walls/doors of the new house, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Quinn and his crew were exceptionally good. Their pricing was much lower than other estimates we got, their work ethic was far superior to any other mover we've ever used, and they were amazingly careful with our belongings. They took the stress out of moving. We're senior citizens, have moved a lot during out lifetime, and dreaded the moving experience. Let's Get Moving honestly made it pleasurable.

We got Let's Get Moving off Angie's List. They were terrific. They were very flexible. She needed to move on a weekend and they arranged to do it on a Sunday just a few days before. When she could get in Saturday, they changed the moving time on Friday to Saturday. They showed up on time. When she found out the times had changed she left a message and they called right back with the best way to save her money on where to start first. She met them at the unit and then followed them to the house. They were fast and efficient. They did not waste a second. They were courteous and even hauled some trash away from the boxes. We definitely recommend them, and have, to anyone. They were better than any other mover we have ever dealt with before.

Matt and his team from Let's Get Moving not only made it easy, they are the best of my 17!! Nothing broken, nothing misplaced, on time, polite, helpful, did more than what was asked. Matt gave me a firm quote and showed up with 6 men and 2 trucks to "get us moving". 8 hours later, job done, and everyone happy. I will use Matt and his team again next time, and recommend him often.

This was a great experience - I was their first job of the day and they were about 45 mins early - I had a 3 man crew (Steve, Bill and Greg). They were fantastic - non-stop hustle. I had a ton of boxes so there were many trips up and down 3 flights of stairs. They were very concerned about getting the boxes into the right room and offered many times to move things around if I needed. I was a little nervous about being charged per hour until done but these guys were non-stop until the move was complete, so that was never an issue. Great guys, very professional and very quick - I would definitely use them again

They were wonderful! They were careful with my belongings and kept up the pace. They had me moved out of one home and into another in 2 hours. They were as strong as oxes, and even moved my jacuzzi.

After I called the company and described what needed to be moved and from where, Matt replied with an email bid that was for a flat rate, in addition to an hourly price like everyone else quoted. We appreciated the ability to choose, and it was clear that Matt understood what we needed. We chose the flat rate. The crew was very professional and a pleasure to work with, unlike the crew from another company that handled the previous move of our stuff into storaqe. We've moved quite a few times, and have to rate this as one of the, if not the, best.

My mother-in-law & my wife were extremely pleased with the 2 men that moved her from her old living quarters to her new quarters in a complex that was built in late 2010. Her new unit has never been lived in.

The company did a great job, and we were very happy with all services. The two employees were extremely hardworking, friendly and courteous. They did a great job of packing, moving and unpacking everything carefully, and were very helpful in arranging furniture in the new home. I would highly recommend both the company and the individual employees.

They came in and gave us a bid. They guaranteed the cost. They also told us that we would not need to pay until we were satisfied. They arrived right on time and they were very professionally dressed. We were very stressed about the situation and they put us at ease. They actually made it a fun move. They came up with solutions to help us get all of our furniture into a much smaller space. It worked out just beautifully. Before they left they double checked that we were happy with the positioning of everything. They took $100.00 off of the total bill when the move was complete because it was less work than they had estimated. Their price was 1/3 of the other bid that we received. There are four people in our office and we all agree that they are the only company we will use if we ever have to move again.

I was running late driving from North Carolina and they were flexible. They were fast in packing and gave me pointers for packing my furniture next time. They were nice and seemed professional.

Driver called me when he was leaving his office to confirm arrival time and location. They arrived when expected and were efficient and courteous. We were charged exactly what we were quoted.
