"The contract agreement was dated 7/18/11, and entailed providing and installing exterior fabric shutters to the home. The installation process was done on 8/8/11. Although there was no specific date noted for completion, 20 days is not an untimely “turn around time” for this specialty product. Holes were drilled as per the original floor plan as contracted. The customer called me during the installation process to then change one of the door shutter locations. I told him during the phone conversation, that an additional charge of $20.00 to alter the size of the original shutter, and to move the shutter to another location would be incurred for this “on the job last minute change”, and that different bolts would be used as requested by homeowner. Upon my instructions, the installers altered and moved the shutter. The original opening holes were patched by our installers as a result of his request, and the end result was approved by the homeowner. The installers were told that the patching was acceptable. The customer then called me to state that he was faxing an invoice for patching the holes in the Walls, which we had already done. The invoice was for $125.00. The customer took it upon himself to send me the bill for a job we had previously finished and was approved. I received a call from the customer after the faxed invoice was received, and I was busy on another job, and told him I would call him back. I tried calling him later, and did not reach him directly. I got busy doing other things, and I would have assumed he would have called me back. In lieu of charges for altering the shutters, and the addition and exchange of different fastener system, (which is a more expensive product, and harder to install) this is what we would like to do to rectify the situation. I will not charge the customer for the altering of the fabric shutter, and the additional bolts, for the requested $125.00 charge for stucco patching to be resended.
