Need A Truck

two nice, strong men showed up--I had requested three; they very very helpful and prfessional.  I had been told my movers would have a special moving device for the piano but they they didn't haveit; they still managed to get the piano moved to the house.  They worked hard  and did a fine job.

They are a great mover! They show up when they say they will; they're fast but careful. And their rates are quite reasonable. I've used them to move furniture within St. Augustine and from St. Augustine to Jacksonville.

Furniture was moved.  Three employees arrived in Jacksonville for the move.  Thought owner would be there.  He was not.  Employees were twenty minutes late.  Once there, they seemed to work diligently.  In the end, some furniture was scratched.  Owner arrived at new address as move was being finished.  
One major complaint was price of the move.  Be sure to get a written estimate.  One that you can hold them accountable.  I accepted an estimate over the phone without insisting on one in writing.  The final bill was over 40% greater than the estimate.  That was my error in accepting an over the phone estimate.  Company was referred by a friend.  So I was made that mistake.  Buyer beware.  Insist on written estimate with this company.   Turned out to be most expensive of the three movers I contacted.
Second major complaint is the owner never followed up with me after the move to assure I was satisfied.  I mentioned my surprise of the charges to the lead employee.  It was not his issue as he did not give me the estimate.  I considered contacting the owner.  It was a "he said, he said" at that point.  So I did not.  Surprisingly, the owner did not contact me either as a general matter of followup or to discuss my comments to the lead employee.
