Dan's Sprinklers

Dan was great. He came the day I called and checked my sprinklers and installed a automatic rain shut off for us.

He did what he came to do

Did what he said he would do. Repaired the system with no problems.

Dan came to the house on time, performed his repairs in pouring rain and found a broken pipe that I was unaware of. He was very professional and his charges were reasonable.

Dan arrived as scheduled which is something many of us really appreciate. During his first visit, he diagnosed the problem and recommended that at the very least I have the irrigation pump rebuilt which would resolve the problem. I determined that the pump was at least 12 years old which and thought that replacing the motor may also be something that needed to be done. Dan offered to replace both the pump and motor with a new assembly at a very attractive price including labor. It's been a few weeks since the service and I couldn't be happier with the results. All of the irrigation zones are working properly.

Don't have a complaint about work done, which was adequate for pump replacement. My complaint is his business practice. When I first spoke to him, he stated his rate was $60.00 an hour plus parts. He arrived at 8:45AM & found that breaker was shorting out. He went to Home Depot, about 2 miles away, & purchased a new breaker &, upon putting it in, was found that pump was shot. He told me he could install a new pump for $500.00, everything included. I felt that the price was a little high but agreed so that it could be done that day. He asked if he could take another service call first & then return to install pump & I agreed, telling him that I had to go bowling but my wife would be home. He then departed around 9:42AM. At time of departure, I owed $60.00 for the hour he was there plus $15.00 for the new breaker. When I returned home after bowling, I found my wife had paid him $615.00, which included a $100.00 charge for the hour he was there in the AM. I called him & asked why the excessive hourly charge & he stated he felt that was fair for the time he was first there. I reminded him he was there less than 1 hour & I felt the charge was excessive. After some further back & forth, he agreed to refund $40.00 to me & would come by my house next time he was in my area & drop it off. Guess he has not been back in Ft. Pierce since then since it has been over 3 weeks & I have not heard from him or gotten the agreed upon refund. Do not feel it is my place to chase him for it so will let this review speak for itself. My advice, if you use him, it to get something in writing first so that he does not set his own "reasonable' fees after first quoting a different amount previously.

I arranged this repair remotely and the entire transaction was done on a handshake and to my expectations. I would recommend Dan and his services to anyone.

We searched for a sprinkler expert on a Sunday. Dan called right away and he came the next day. He spent a good hour and corrected all our sprinkler issues. He is very knowledgeable, a hard worker, and his price was reasonable. We will definitely contact him again when needed.

Knowledgeable about the product and took the time to educate me on how to use the timer.
