Warning to people and Angie's List seeing this review.1. This company suggested I give them a review and post it on a specific website prior to the shipping of my motorcycle.-- I did what they said and gave the a poor rating (2) the first time and dropped it to a (1) the second time for reasons you'll see below.-- I happened to be the first person to give a review on them.2. The pattern of this company is I will post a review and they will follow it up by a very good review. -- The first time they did this, the website removed my review and left theirs.3. My ISP was hacked. This is being investigated and I did report it. -- After I posted my poor review, two things happened: Mike, salesman, called my home on Sunday "x" # of times in 30 mins. (I was out enjoying my shipped motorcycle) and opted to yell at my partner. I think she yelled louder or better :) . He was concerned what my review would do to their business. -- I reread the review and sent a slight update to clarify one sentence to the rating website. I had to because I didn't want to lie or mislead people. In ensuing reviews, my statements are all clear and accurate. -- An email was sent to the original website where I put my review stating, in essence, I erred and vented and to remove my review. My review was removed because the website didn't know any better. I didn't send the email and my IP is not associated w/whatwas sent. Understand that with all the evidence I have, it doesn't mean this company hacked my review and that's being left to an investigation. But obviously is seems fishy.-- Oh yes, also my yahoo account of many many many years was locked up. I never ever lock myself out of an account. This was the first time. -- This locking out continued for about 30 minutes and I changed my password 4 or 5 times. -- One time I saw two emails from Mike that same day around that same time. I didn't open them. -- The next time I went into the same account those emails to me (to call them) had been deleted and I did not delete them.4. I contacted the website and they learned the internet service protocol (ISP) was the same in the letter requesting removal of my posting and the follow-up good review. We were able to determine through other applications this happened to be where the broker company existed. THIS DOESN'T MEAN they did the hacking but it certainly is mind provoking in conjunction with everything else that they actually did do. Ultimately, I will get to the bottom ofthis.5. Since my email account was hacked, I deleted ALL in/sent/out/trash. And now ... just a brief intro to what lead up to this. First the unethical in the beginning. 1. They asked me to google+1 them. I don't trust google, so doing that made me feel really uneasy. They also hadn't performed a service.2. Mike or the other rep said they had given me their promotion offer of a $25 rebate. I didn't believe that and ignored it because I didn't qualify for it.3. When I halted the shipping of my bike by them, Mike got angry and sent (wish I had a better word) but a snotty email to them about how they went out of their way to help me. My response was how (rhetorical because they hadn't). The bike couldn't bedelivered on two days and I kept them in the loop of what was happening with the bike. I also believed I has being harassed by another broker. I was asked to send the emails. I did and they didn't have to do this. They said the English was bad and I had received a number of emails but it didn't mean I was being harassed. I agreed with them and was able to stop the other broker from sending me a steady flow of lowball quotes. What it all boiled down to was poor communication. I asked for a quote for an open carrier from a number of companies (I'll never do that again because I was inundated with responses). I eliminated lowball, poor English, and very high quotes. Then I asked for prices for an enclosed carrier. Many companies (if not almost all) responded with a new quote (not estimate but a quote). US Auto was not one of those companies and my fault in this was I didn't follow through with getting a new quote. It was also their fault as the (unprofessional) professionals to let me know. So, the day of shipping, I did receive a price and it was not what I had been given. I asked for the email that stated this and got the "open carrier" quote. I never received a closed carrier quote. If you ever do this, keep careful track of who has given you what. It takes you and the broker or carrier to be responsible for this. This story is longer (oy, huh?) but it's enough information for you to be warned about this company and follow-up reviews. I understand this is a household license as I called a very nice customer service rep. to ensure protection of this review and to watch for additional reviews. It was not written by the owner of this account but by her partner, Sheri.
Description of Work: I looked for a company (broker or carrier) to ship a motorcycle from Delaware to North Carolina. Due to a series of incidences leading up to the day my motorcycle was ready to be picked up, I canceled (fired would be an appropriate word) them and used another carrier who was great.
