I visited Jay for a quote. I explained to him that my bumper needed to be repainted as a result of peeling from a previous repair at another company that seemed to have gone wrong. It was repainted twice, and peeling for a third time. Jay gave me a quote for the bumper to be stripped, primed and refinished. Our meeting was brief, I got one more quote from another body shop. Decided on Jay because I was impressed with the size, layout, and organization of his premises. There were lots of honors, pictures on the wall of their good work. In the meantime I had done a bit of research online as to why this problem was persisting. I wondered if perhaps Volvo had certain specifications regarding the painting of their bumpers. My insurance company covered the cost of the original repair. I guess my mistake was to not get involved at the time and ensure to get OEM parts. I recently learned that Volvo dealers provide painted bumpers. However in my case the body shop painted it. Anyway, I called Jay to set up the appointment to take the car in. I asked him could he explain to me how the job would be done. It was like my question hit a nerve or something, because his reaction to me seemed COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE. He went off on a tangent, said that, and I quote, "We are not a technical instruction college, this is not tech school here" he said "you are trying to micromanage this, next you will be wanting emails from us" I was completely blown away... then he said "you dont trust us" . It was the weirdest, disturbing, unhinged feeling that I've ever felt in a professional setting. I have a feeling that this is not the first time he has talked to a female customer that way.

Auto Tech did an outstanding job on detailing my car, the inside, outside and engine. Very thorough, very professional and it came out better than I expected!!!

The deal got expired and they would not refund anything. They wouldn't work with me. They should be willing to work with the customer even though it's an expired deal. I spent hundred dollar for this.

Terrible! How anybody can go to this place is unbelievable! Kept my car for a week! Paid an outrageous amount!! Drove the car for two days and had to bring it back for overheating !! Kept me waiting for hours,but didn't even look at car!! Finally had to ask what's going on? Secretary said they can't look at it because it's to hot!! I'd been there for over two hours so the engine should have been cold as ice!! Had to leave and pick it up the next day!! On top of that I asked them to replace front headlight and when I got car back had t go to another mechanic because it wasn't done!!

I was late to appointment but that was not a problem for them. Before any additional work was performed, they called to confirm, specify and quote. Everything was completed timely and professionally.

Right from J.R. s welcoming and quick estimate to Debbie's quick and curtious paperwork was a dresm. Beautiful facility with spacious, comfortable and clean waiting/area with TV and coffee.They offered me a rental car @25.99 day for the estimated two day fix time. JR said they could start right away, and to my surprise, they called me 26 hrs later to pick up! And only charged one day rental.I forgot Angies List coupon and they said no problem, so thx for 10% Discount applied. The work done was so perfect in every way, plus the fine deat job, the VW Passat 2014 looked like it came right from the showroom! Perfect color match. I received a quote prior to this for @ $1600 from VW, so glad I checked a respected Angies List Provider.Thanks to to Debbie, who called me to say I left something valuable in the rental car, good employees at rhe front reception are an asset to the business.Congrsts to the owners for a fine service! Detail auto work was impeccable. Highly recommend.

When we looked at her SUV we couldn't believe our eyes. It literally looked like new. I don't know how they did it. Not to mention that the rest of the work which was perfect. This is why we continue to drive from Delray Beach to Autotech (Pompano Beach)!

It worked out fine. I purchased a Big Deal for auto detailing. They are professional but they charged me extra for them to shampoo the carpet.

My car looks cleaner that when I purchased it brand new! They did inside and out and I am amazed at what a great job they have done.

I dropped the SUV off early in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. No stress and no waiting

Work done was good. It seemed to take for ever.

I brought my car in at 8 am and was told it would be ready atfter 4. I was impressed by not only the cleanliness if the facility but the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Before I left with my ride, the office manager took a look around my car with me and noted that there would be an up charge from the $99 special because I have a small SUV. I said that was OK and I left. When I returned at the end of the day my car was sparkling inside and out. I couldn't have been happier and will be back Again in a couple of months!

They did a very nice job and I was pleased with the outcome.

I had a radiator installed in my 2004 Mazda RX-8 2 months ago by someone other than Auto Body & Tech. On 9/21/2015, the car overheated. I immediately pulled over and after researching Angie's List, decided upon Auto Body & Tech to repair the car. I had the car towed to their shop in Pompano Beach. According to Jay Ghanem, the owner, whoever installed the radiator in July had improperly wired the fan assembly and they had to reroute the wiring to the proper circuits. He said he also had to dismantle the cooling lines and access links to flush block lines and install a complete thermostat assembly. He said the work would be $793.29, which although I thought was very high, I agreed to as the vehicle was already there and somewhat disassembled. The car was ready to be picked up the next day. In the office while paying the bill, Jay said and these were his exact words: "The car is now in pristine condition and should go 1,000,000 miles!" Not kidding, that's what he said. Very impressive, right? So, after leaving, the car was running fine and I was happy..... for four days, then the car overheated again. I immediately pulled over and had the car towed back to Auto Tech & Body, I have been told over and over that especially with a rotary engine as this car has to never drive it if it has overheated so I did not, I immediately had it towed back to Jay. This was four days after my nearly $800 bill was paid for my pristine car that I was going to drive one million miles! A few hours later, Jay called me and said the overheating had caused the seals to fail in the motor and now fuel and coolant are mixing together. I need to replace the engine he says, to the tune of $5,000! I said, 4 days ago, you ran a complete diagnostic on the car, supposedly repaired the overheating issue and it overheated again. How can this be a new problem? Surely, the diagnostic would have disclosed these issues 4 days ago! Jay disagreed and also refused to refund one penny of the $793.29 I just gave him 4 days ago. Of course, I will not give this crook one more cent of my hard earned money. I have had the vehicle towed out of his shop. Oh, and by the way, they were so "kind" to wash the exterior of the car for me and charge me $12.88 which I never asked them to do. Don't be fooled by the smiles and seemingly sweet and sugary customer service they extend while they are stabbing your wallet in the back.

The work performed ( car body and mechanical damage repair) by Auto Body & Tech on my damaged 2014 Toyota Rav4 is so bad I believe it constitutes fraud and I will be making official complaints to both my insurance company and appropriate state and other consumer agencies. A car hit mine on the driver's side between the front door and the front wheel, body damaged and wheel pushed in while my heavily pregnant wife was driving in Miami. I picked this shop based on Angie's List and based on this review I hope to save anyone from making the same mistake. The first and most obvious problem with the car was the mis-aligned door and front quarter panel, plus a piece of plastic trim was hanging off of the are near the windshield and the hood. I instantly complained and they simply glued it down/pushed down in a half-***ed attempt to correct it. The problem can't be corrected until their body work gets redone(properly align door and front quarter panel). I get in the car and the technicians who performed the work put grease and dirt stains all over the ceiling and the interior cloth door panels. I complain about that and once again a half-hearted attempt was made to clean-up the mess. The paint on the exterior has the texture of an orange, a real poor paint job. The manager I believe his name is Jay informed me that his techs didn't perform a road test despite the steering rack having to be replaced because the front wheel was hit and pushed in. THEY DIDN"T DRIVE IT TO MAKE SURE THE CAR WAS OK. The manager tells me there is a 10 year warranty on all their work and don't panic if there are any issues just call him and he'll take care of any issue. I get in the car and grab the shift selector/knob and it's loose for some reason. I tightened it down myself just because I'm so exasperated at this point and I just want the car to be fixed and I can use it to drive my wife to the hospital and then drive her and our newborn home. I get out on the road and when I approach 50 mph a low humming noise starts coming from the driver side front , same wheel that got pushed in, and the brake on that same wheel is squealing whenever I stop. I come back in less than 2 hours of getting the car back because I just can't drive around in an unsafe vehicle, especially with a new family. The manager has the "mechanic" drive the car around and when he gets back he claims he can't hear anything and that the car is perfect. I drive the "mechanic" around and I point out the very obvious humming noise and he grudgingly admitted that there is something wrong with the wheel. We get back to the shop, the car gets put back on the rack and the manager comes into the lobby and tells me that the wheel bearing is failing but the brakes are fine. I take it back the next morning and get it back that afternoon and the humming noise is gone but the brake is still noisy. They just don't want to fix it so I don't see the point of going back. Don't be fooled by how great the front office staff are(polite/kind), the people doing the actual work are utterly incompetent and unprofessional and put the safety of myself , my wife and unborn child at risk by their negligence and poor work.

The air conditioning in my truck was blowing cold but very weakly. Jay and his crew fixed it up and now it blasts frigid cold and gets me through these hot, humid days here in Florida as I travel all around South Florida for work. Super knowledgeable technicians and very communicative. Quick, also!

They were very helpful but the took to long to perform the job. I was there for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I'm not sure about the exactly date but it was in the beginning of July.

It's hard to describe in mere words how the experience went; I even got to eat two pieces of delicious cake while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. All I can say is that it was a super-fantastic experience, man! The oil change/inspection of my vehicle was performed and my tires were rotated as an extra bonus--and all for a most excellent price. The mechanic who inspected my vehicle discovered a problem with my wheel alignment that I was already aware of and I will be setting up another appointment with this repair center to have it resolved. Auto Tech & Body's professionalism and prompt courteous service is something that is sorely lacking in this industry and for those reasons alone I give them an A+. Did I mention that I got to eat two pieces of delicious cake? Yummy! Update on 9/8/2015 I believe I spoke too quickly regarding the quality of service I received from this auto repair center. I'll have to downgrade my score to a B or possibly a C after recent events concerning what happened the next day when I drove back to the shop to have my vehicle reinspected. When I left my home the following day I had all 4 wheel covers on my vehicle, and later, when I arrived at the shop, I only had 3 wheel covers. My tires got rotated at this shop the previous day along with a routine oil change, so somebody didn't put one of the wheel covers back on properly after rotating the tires and that translates into very sloppy work; it's so simple to snap the wheel cover back on properly that I'm not sure how you could mess it up. Now I have to order a new cover from Ford and wait for it to arrive in the mail and it's going to cost about $40--all that frustration because of a routine oil change. Grrrr! (The affected wheel was not related to the wheel that needed repair work.) I should've known something wasn't quite right at that repair shop when they offered me cake in such a luxurious waiting room complete with a huge leather sofa and a big screen TV. Ha!

I have a black 2012 VW Passat - pretty clean but had a lot of visible swirl marks from previous wax jobs. I had high expectations based on the description of services (clay used to remove old wax, then compound applied, then hand wax, then glaze), but those expectations were blown away. My family and I were literally speechless when we saw the car. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor! Not only are the swirl marks gone - the finish is brilliant! Like glass, and soft as silk to the touch. And speaking of touch, I had a couple of small spots on my trunk where the paint had been scratched off. The detailer actually applied touch up paint to fix the spots! I used to detail cars professionally and I am familiar with a lot of the detail services that are available locally. The Full Detail Service by Auto Tech and Body is in a class by itself, worth every penny and more. I will never have my car detailed anywhere else again. I have gone to these guys for awhile now for detailing. Every single time I get my car I am thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, I cracked my bumper, so I had this fix it before they detailed it. The car came back to me looking brand new. Would I go back to them? Yes! I wish I lived closer to utilize them for simpler services such as oil changes. However, if there are any more major work I will consider them, since their attention to detail is so great.
