The repair wasn't completed. I was called immediately after I entered the information on your website. I spoke to the dispatcher, told her what the issue was and sent her a picture of the damage. She told me that they were ready for any kind of repair needed. That they had the necessary parts to have the repair completed that same day. When they arrived, I showed them what was broken. The first thing that one of them said was "we need to change your springs before we can go to the next step". I asked them again, "can all of this be fixed today". He told me again that, "he needed to change the springs, and that he couldn't tell me that until he fixed them to then test the opener". I pointed out the them the part that was broken on the pulley. He kept insisting that he couldn't tell me anything until he changed the springs, and that then he would test it, but that everything should be fine once he did that. I asked what the charge would be, and he said "$375", and I asked him if this was all-in, total charge, and he said yes. Later, after they changed the springs, they said that they couldn't do anything else because they had never seen that part before, didn't have the part, and even if they did, didn't how to repair it. I wound up paying $398.31, not the $375 I was quoted AND have a door that is still not repaired. I just called another company and showed them the exact picture I showed this company (attached are the pictures" Garage Door Doctors", and the technician from this other company said, "that's an easy fix" He knew exactly what I was talking about. I explained this technician what this company GDD did yesterday, and he told me that not only was I overcharged, but that the part that they said they had never seen is kept in stock at Lowes. I actually had told GDD yesterday that I had actually purchased that part at Lowes, and they said that it was impossible because they had never seen that before. They kept asking if anyone had worked on it before. It was very clear that they didn't know what they were doing, AND, that I was taken advantage of. They didn't do what they said they were going to do, and I am out $400, and have a non-functioning door. Take it from me, DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! EVER!! They assure you over the phone that they can repair it that same day without any issue, and send two guys that obviously have no clue as to what they are doing. The guys were nice and "professional", but I can't give a good rating on their professionalism when they didn't know what they were doing. How can a company that sells themselves as professional door repair company tell me, the customer, that they have never seen the part that is broken before??
