He came on a Sunday and peeled the carpet and the padding and left them in one room. He came back on Monday and put in the new padding. He moved the old carpet to the garage. That is the last thing he did. He received the second payment from the realtor even though he did not remove the old carpet. Richard then told me he is trying to find something similar to what he promised then he said that they are out of stock and he will refund us our money. When I asked him if he can commit to put a new carpet in, he said he could not. I asked him how much he will refund us, then he stopped responding. I called him multiple times and when he finally answered he asked "what do you want me to do". I responded I want him to give me the money he was paid to do the service he failed to do and he hung up on me. That is the last time I heard from him. I would absolutely not recommend Richard Canavan of Express Floors, he took an upfront payment and did not do the work he was paid to do nor did he refund me.
Description of Work: Richard Canavan of Express Floors was supposed to replace my carpet before I sold my home.

I am Richard canavan I have hundreds of clients and references. I was about to get booted out again it will not let me finish it brought me to this beginning point and I'm afraid if I was to try to scroll to the bottom to finish it would boot me out again I'm not prepared to continue with this anybody that would like to contact me and find out the rest of the story I'd be more than happy to Angie's List must make this response page better these people are trying to destroy my credibility and Angie's List is letting them do it I believe it's because I will not pay Angie's List 2 advertise me or approve me but I will continue to service my clients and For more than 20 years I've been helping people with flooring needs doing many jobs other will not do! This is my 5th time trying to respond to this customer on Angie's List I get so far and it boots me out I truly am glad I do not subscribe to Angie's List is this is awful. Here I Go Again I contracted with this customer on December 28th This customer Truly had issues. Wanting to order carpet on December 28th most suppliers were closed I was able to order the carpet on the 29th and was given an ETA of approximately one week this usually does not take that long and was explained to the customer I could not install the carpet till the following week they understood they were leaving on January 1st but would like me to remove the carpet on New Year's Eve unusual butt I agreed explaining it would have to stay on location until I could bring it to the recyclers on Monday I return Monday and removed all of the carpet and padding which was witnessed by the house cleaners that were there although the recyclers would not accept the carpet as it was urine soaked head bad older. I went to my distributor JJ Haines 2 hopefully pick up the carpet hoping it had a quick turnaround but was informed the order was delayed do to production date. I informed the customer And asked if they would want me to look for a replacement
