The Pampering Plumber

It went extremely well; so much so, that when we went to refurbish another bath, the contractor requested the Pampering Plumber for collaboration.

Plumber quickly identified the near source of a leak. Within 45 minutes identified the cause as being tree roots crushing a water pipe. 45 minutes later, the job was done. Excellent, prompt, and rapid service.

We called on a Monday afternoon and got the first appointment for Wednesday morning. Bill called about 30 minutes before the appointment to let us know when he would show up. He was efficient and pleasant, replacing our garbage disposal unit. When he was finished, he offered to answer any other plumbing questions we had around the house. He tried to sell us more stuff, but wasn't pushy about it. He called afterwards to make sure that everything was still working well.

The work on the garbage disposal was find but they were very high. The first time we hired them was for the garbage disposal. We had to purchase a new garbage dispoSal but charged more then what we saw for the item on Amazon. After that, we noticed our hot water heater was leaking. We called before 5pm but they said they wouldn't be there until 5pm and would have to charge after hour fees. We ended up going with another service provider who charged a fraction of the price.

office called on weekend and tech, Bill, stated we'd get a phone call the next day with times for his appt with us. My husband was very adamate in telling Bill the make and approximate age of the water softener we had, their ad implies they repair softeners. Monday I rec'd a call giving me certain hours within which tech, Bill, would arrive at our home. He was right on time, took 2 look at our softener and stated 'they' couldn't get parts for that make, but he had one on his truck that they did get parts for and for only $1300.+ dollars, he;d be happy to install it then. and charged me $59.00 for the information and service call. I told him I would think it over and spoke withmmy husband about it and we laughted at the thought of spending that much $ when we'd just bought the house. Several weeks later I rec'd a call from "Bill" wondering if we'd decided to have him install his expensive softener, I replied NO thanks.

I had them come to my restaurant and do a number of things and the guy they sent out was great. Explained everything thoroughly and worked quickly and did a great job. He has solutions to issues and I feel the price was fair. I will have them back again.

Our water heater was leaking all over the garage floor on Friday evening when we arrived home from work. We just purchased this house in July and did negotiate a home warranty. However, the home warranty company was not able to send someone out until Monday. Luckily they authorized an outside approved contractor. I quickly accessed Angie's List and called The Pampering Plumber quite early Saturday morning . Eddie was out within 1/2 hour and replaced the water heater for us. His professional demeanor was a breath of fresh air. He was cleaning up as he was working; there wasn't anything for me to clean or straighten after he left. Words cannot express how pleased I am with the overall experience working with The Pampering Plumber. We are going to be upgrading our kitchen area and I will definitely be working with The Pampering Plumber in the near future. Thank you so much for you quick response and professional attitude. Very quick turn around time in scheduling an appointment. Eddie was great. He removed some old water filters that were no longer needed. He also assessed our older hot water heater. He explained everything very well and gave some great recommendations on what we should and should not do until the heater fails and needs to be replaced. He was very professional and the work completed was high quality. The office was easy to work with as well. I received a followup call from the office after the work was done, a thank-you note from Eddie along with an evaluation card to send in to the office. Couldn't have gotten better service.

Arranged for Eddie to come out on Tuesday after calling midafternoon on Monday. As with our previous experience, Eddie showed up right on time, between the agreed upon time frame. Greeted us with a smile and remembered us from our last plumbing repair several months ago. Eddie immediately started listening to the problems we were experiencing. Just from my detailed explanation, Eddie had a pretty good idea what the problem was. Even though, he still did some diagnostic evaluation of the entire toilet system. In the end it was the ball and c*** assembly along with the oring and nut. Eddie installed a new assembly along with a new water feed line from the shut off valve to the bottom of the toilet bowl. Eddie had everything installed and cleaned up much sooner than I anticipated. As with his previous service call that he handled for us, he put on shoe booties so that he did not track any dirt into my parent’s home. Arrived promptly, showed us respect, and was very polite and personable. The Pampering Plumber may not be the least expensive plumbing service out there to choose from, but their company standards in regards to how they treat their customers and their employees are a step above the rest. Also knowing that the job was done right the first time, there is a price associated with that level of confidence. All in all another great experience from The Pampering Plumber, I would not hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends or associates.

Our water heater started slowly leaking water all over the garage floor. After checking on Angie's list it was an easy decision to choose The Pampering Plumber based on all the great reviews! And I recognized the owner's name, Colleen Suojanen, from visiting her showroom (Plumbers of Suojanen Enterprises) back in 2004 and remembering being very impressed by her showroom, staff, knowledge, compassion, and friendliness. I called that night and spoke with Eddie about scheduling an appointment for the next morning. He called when he was on his way, which is very nice, and showed up as scheduled. He determined the water heater needed to be replaced, as I figured, and quoted $340 for a to replace the 50 gallon A.O. Smith electric water heater (still under warranty until 3/30/13) plus $40 to replace the shut off valve. I was very happy with the service and the price! Then, it was my lucky day as I ended up being the 10th water heater customer and got it for free!! Thanks Pampering Plumber!

Fast, efficient, pleasant...

A home inspection report denoted low water pressure. Also sulfer smell in water heater. Pampering Plumber responded professionally and promptly. They checked the water pressure which was found to be normal. Also gave us advice on how to maintain our water heater. All in all, we found the company to be professional and we would not hesitate to call them again. Dave

We had a plumber out to our house within an hour of my call. Great, great guy. He fixed the pipe that was broken and helped us schedule a remediation company to fix the ceiling. We will definitely use them again.

I had every intention of writing a positive review prior to learning that I actually was the recipient of a FREE water softener. After having very poor experiences with other plumbing companies, this is the first time I used Angie's List to find a plumber. The reviews could not be more accurate - it was an absolute pleasure dealing with these people. Scheduling appointments has been so easy (they have easily accommodated our schedules), and customer service is excellent. The plumber we specifically dealt with, Eddie, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and CLEAN! I will not hesitate to request him in the future. Eddie installed a new water softener in approx 2 hours, then flushed all 7 of our faucet aerators to remove the sediment build- up we were having from hard water. He will be doing a courtesy follow- up to ensure everything is working properly. Here is the kicker: they advertise that every 10th water heater/softener they install is free, and sure enough, we did not have to pay one cent for our water softener. Nothing! Please know that we were more than happy with the estimate, and we would have gotten tremendous value and quality for a very fair price. Also know that I usually have horrible luck....Until today. I cannot imagine anyone would be disappointed with this company. Thank you.

All companies quoted a service call and possible leak detection service - but I really couldn't understand what the scope of the work would be. When I called Pampered Plumber and the nice lady in the office couldn't answer my questions so she asked if she could have the service tech (manager) call me back. A very nice gentleman named Art called me back within an hour and was able to ask a few questions and diagnose it over the phone - found out it wasn't a leak but something else that's not a problem. He was very informative and best of all he was a true professional that saved me money and time. Between our two homes I am sure we will have plumbing needs arise, and I will definitely call on Pampered Plumber after experiencing how they do business!

Plumber called to let me know he was on his way. Took out old toilet. Explained need for additional floor supports. Installed and caulked new toilet. Explained how to turn off shower to keep it from dripping. I appreciated this, as he could have tried to sell me new shower mechanism. Hauled off old toilet. Plumber was very polite and explained what could be done to make the toilet run better through old pipes. We were very pleased with his work.

My Hot water heater sprung a leak and shorted out so I had them replace my old one with a new 50 gallon one, the plumber was prompt, courteous, and very professional. He explained to me how he was going to set the new one up showed me how he was going to run the pipes and even installed a new shut off valve. He hauled away my old heater and even explained how to do periodic maintenance so I could get many years from my new heater.

We are new to the area and frequently use Angie's list for referrals. Up to now we have been very happy with the professionals that we have chosen. We needed to move a washer/dryer out of the kitchen due to lack of space and extreme loudness of the appliances. Upon making an appointment for an estimate I was informed that it would cost me $50 and that it would be deducted from my bill if I chose to accept and use their services (which means NO free estimate). So I felt that Angie's list had been very reliable in the past and I would most likely use them so I agreed. They came out inspected and told me it would be $290. Then I was informed that I would have to hire my own electrician and dry wall repairman ...at my own cost. I was already in for $50 so I assumed this meant the job would be flawless and they had professional electricians/drywallers that they worked with so I agreed to the job as it was presented to me. They came out moved the appliances approx 12inches (onto the other side of the wall into the garage) using the same plumbing line it was on originally. I thought the position of the appliances was okay ...a little too close to hot water heater....but usable and not really a problem. After replacing the plastic faucet surround in the wall that was deemed out dated (by the plumber) because it was 20yrs old the plumber left....leaving the hoses for the electrician to re-attach after his work. The electrician mentioned that the hoses were a "little short" and that they "didn't give him room to work with". In fact the Pampering Plumbers had re-used our OLD hoses ....20 years old and original to the house! When I called them for an explanation and to voice my unhappiness the supervisor's response was.... I spoke to Eddie (the plumber) and he felt the hoses were in good shape and he didn't think you wanted to pay extra for new hoses. My response was "the hoses are 20yrs old! They could crack and break at any time PLUS they are too short for the space and will probably pull out of the wall with normal use". I also stated that I felt paying $300 dollars for this job that basically amounted to knocking a small hole in the wall (which I paid a drywall guy $75 to repair) and re-connecting the appliance to its original line should have included NEW materials. Plus add in the $140 electrician fee and this small job has now cost me over $500. The supervisor agreed that the original estimate was not clear and he did apologize for the mistake. Basically their resolution was to quote me prices on new hoses ($35) and that they would "come back out and do the work at no cost". Okay so their solution is to make me pay for materials that should have been included in the price and NOT charge me for something they should have done in the first place!The people at Pampering Plumber were friendly and the work was adequate but I certainly did NOT feel pampered. I will take my business elsewhere in the future

Perfect!! The plumber was on time and even called when he was almost to our house to let us know he was arriving. He unclogged our sink and gave us tips to keep it from happening again. We have had problems with the sink since we bought the house over 5 years ago. The last plumber that came to our house told us that if the problem happened again that we might have to replumb the house.

I noticed water leaking out of the baseboard in my garage on 7/15/2012 Sunday afternoon. I called Pampering Plumber at 1pm and Bill Larson answered the phone. I explained the problem and he put me on the schedule. Bill explained the upfront cost clearly. He explained that he had three other clients ahead of me and would be at my house at approximately 6pm that evening. He took my number and said he would call if he was delayed or if he could get here sooner (he also gave me his cell number in case something changed on my end). Bill called at 5pm and said he could be here in 15 minutes, which he did. Bill arrived in a major rain storm. Quickly identified the problem, explained the solution, and gave me a quoted of $319. He completed the task in approximately an hour. He also took the time to evaluate the water softener and the water heater and made valuable suggestions on replacement options when that became necessary. Excellent representative of the company: professional, personable, knows what he is talking about, honesty and courtesy in his actions and statements. I will use Pampering Plumber for all future plumbing needs.

Super nice look at all the things that need fixing and give me prices. Then did all the work on the same day. Super helpful even taught me how to change the water filters myself.

I was shocked to get a same day appointment, and even more surprised when Bill Larson showed up within two hours of my call! When I called in I provided the brand, size, and model of my existing leaky heater and Bill made sure to have a replacement with him when he arrived so there was no delay in getting the job done. He advised me on preventative maintenance and answered all questions I had. Bill also fixed my garbage disposal and showed my son how to reset it in the future. He also answered some questions we had on my water softener system. Bill was very professional and knowledgeable. I noticed on his truck that they advertise "every 10th water heater is free" so I jokingly mentioned that mine was surely number 10. He said he was calling to find out and handed me a scratch off card that guaranteed winning either $25 or $100 off. I got $25 off! Unfortunately his call went to voice mail so I gave him my credit card to make the $610 payment. After ensuring I had no further issues or questions Bill left. Less than an hour later he called to tell me my water heater was indeed number 10 and therefore was free! He came back to my home and gave me back my credit card slip. All the company requested was a photo of me with my new water heater and permission to put a small sign in my yard for a week. A small price to pay for a free water heater and installation! The next day they called to make sure there were no issues with the water heater, and the next day after that I received a thank-you note in the mail. Such outstanding customer service is very rare these days.
