Over The Top Cleaning

I was moving into a new place (well new to me) and had less then 2 weeks to fix things up before my furniture was to be delivered. I have two children who have very bad allergies and the previous owner of house must of owned dogs! Because dog hair was everywhere (even after I cleaned) I had tile bathrooms and thru out the whole house. In the 3 bedrooms is carpet. I tired to clean the tile bathroom by myself on my hands and knees and it took over two hours! I thought "there is no way I can do the whole house'! So thats when I got on Angies List. I came accross "Over The Top Cleaning" with all GREAT reviews! I also so the video of some of his work. So I picked up the phone and spoke to a man named David. I set up an appointment for him to come out and give me an estimate. David was very professional, well mannered and even called the day before to confirm appointment. On Friday, when he came out to measure and give me an estimate he told me of spots on the carpet that I thought would never come out, that he would be able to get them! That morning when he came out to do the job, he told me that it would take about 3 hrs total to do the whole house. Me and my Dad had been doing repairs and painting around the house, decided we would go to Lowes for some needed stuff and lunch while he did his work. When we came back, the house smelled so good (like oranges or citrus). He gave us some "booties" to put over our shoes so we could still continue to do some of the stuff we were doing. I was amazed at how clean not only the carpets but the tile was!!! He had huge fans on to help dry the floor faster. I now feel that the house is clean not just surface clean but DEEP clean! The grout on the tile is now a light color, intead of a dirty darker color. I was very happy with the results!!! I then made another appointment for him to go to my old house to clean the carpets there as well! Like his business card says " We dont cut corners, we clean them!" That so true! I am very pleased with the results and will recommend them to everyone!

Mr Lew showed up on time and ready to do the job. He was very neat in appearance and conducted himself in a very personable and professional manner. He surveyed the areas that I wanted to have cleaned. He tested the carpet fibers to make sure he used the most efficent method of cleaning. He then gave me a written price for the job which I thought was very fair and I ok'd it. His truck and equipment were well kept and seemed state of the art. He explained everything that he was doing and he did a great job. His attention to details was impressive and his positive attitude made the entire experience most enjoyable. My tile floor in the master bathroom looks as good as it did when it was new. I was totally impressed with Mr. Lew and his fine service. After he finished I was more than happy with his work especially for the price he charged. He might be a little more expensive than some of the other companies but for what he gives, he is a real bargain that we will have any time the need arises. Great guy and wonderful work ethic.

He arrived on time and got right to work. He had talked to me before the job about the problems that may arise as he thought the installers may have used two different kinds of grout and he was not sure if they would clean the same. However, they did and the area looks great. My husband had open heart surgery 5 weeks ago when the job was originally planned and Mr Lew was very nice about changing the cleaning date and even called to check how he had come out of the surgery. When they were finished, he and his assistant even moved the heavy furniture back into place for me since he knew that my husband was not supposed to move anything over 10 pounds at the time. The whole experience was pleasant and we will be calling him back after the first of the year to have him clean our carpeting. I would recommend him to my friends if they need work done.

Mr. Lew is the consummate professional. We are very pleased with his work. Our carpet has never been or looked this clean. He charged a little more than others that we have had, but you get what you pay for. Again, we are very pleased. Jack Peters

A black German Shepherd Dog and light beige carpeting do not mix. We were contemplating replacing the carpeting with tile as we were constantly using our steam cleaner while the carpeting became dingier and dirtier. Dave said we would be happy with the cleaning process he used and sure enough, we are very happy. We will not be replacing the carpeting. Another consideration was the need to have the carpet cleaned within a week. We are at opposite corners of Marion County. We were happy that he came on the fourth business day so we had three days to spare before our visitors from Michigan arrived. We will certainly call Over the Top Cleaning Services the next time our carpet gets dirty and don't expect to use our own steam cleaner any further.

David arrived on time, was friendly and professional. He had pads on his shoes to not dirty my house, put protectors on the wall corners to make sure the hoses did not damage the walls and explained to me what he was going to do. I was very pleased with the results, highly recommend him and will use his services again.

The job went very well even though I changed my mind on some items.

My ceramic tile had to be cleaned and sealed. I am very pleased with the job, the tile looks like it did when I moved into this house seven years ago. I would definitly recommend him to all my friends.

I couldn't be more pleased with this company. I have anxiously awaited my appointment for almost two weeks and it was so worth the wait. Mr. Lew and his assistant were on time for my appointment. They were both extremely courteous and professional and took great pride and care in my home. My carpet and tile looks absolutely amazing. The company name certainly fits them well as in my opinion they were most definitely OVER THE TOP. Thanks again and with much appreciation.

Contacted David Lew (owner), based on reviews here on Angie's List. We have had less than stellar results with other franchises at our previous residence. I think this was because the employees who did the work had no real financial incentive to do a good job and were just as likely to do a mediocre job as an excellent job, depending on their mood that day. That made us hesitant to pick a cleaning service at random from the Yellow Pages, so we thought choosing one from Angie's List -AND- having the Owner of the business do the carpet cleaning might yield a better result. And we were right. David called the night before to arrange the start time, which we appreciated. He drove 50 miles to reach us, appearing at the appointed time and ready to go to work. His truck and equipment were spanking clean (a hint of good things to come). David is patient and methodical and seems to like what he's doing. He doesn't mind explaining what he's doing or describing his new equipment. The results exceeded our expectations. The carpet looks very clean and high traffic areas now look as good as the rest of the carpet. We are more than satisfied. As a matter of fact, we liked the results so much we've engaged him to return in about a month to do our three bedrooms. Among his list of services, he also cleans the vents on clothes dryers, so we added that to the list of things to do when he returns. I'm not sure how his prices stack up against other cleaners, but in terms of quality and results we would not think of having anyone other than Dave touch our carpets.

Excellent. They cleaned the grout one day and sealed it the next day. They did not seal the sections where pieces were missing. I will repair them myself. They left me some extra sealer and for these repairs as well as some non-toxic cleaner to keep the floors looking like they were brand new.

I would recommend them. He did excellent work for me. He was extremely personable and he went out of his way to be helpful and very professional.

Dave moved furniture for a nominal fee.and takes pride in his work.

Extremely well done ! On time, made suggestions for carpet cleaning. Wore booties at all times, was very pleasant. Bedroom had high degree of surface soil. We were very pleased with all the work performed. We would hire company again, and would recommend them to others.

The whole experience was excellent. David and I played "phone tag" with voicemail messages for a couple of days. He was always prompt to return my calls and did not give up trying to get in touch, but in a very professional, respectful way. We spoke on the phone about the approximate cost and set up an appointment time. David is obviously passionate about what he does. He showed up as arranged, on time, and ready to work. He worked quickly but thoroughly. His equipment is all new and state-of-the-art. He was very careful to wear shoe covers so as not to track prints across the carpets. There were a couple of tough stains that he removed beautifully! David even called back the next day to make sure the carpets had dried nicely and that we were happy with the job he had done. We were! :) My client was very happy with the work and I will continue to refer him to all of my clients, happily, for cleaning services.

Dave Lew was a consumate professional! He is not only the owner of Over the Top but does the work as well...you can tell by his responsiveness that he has the first hand field knowledge to do a job, and to do it correctly. He was a teacher, educating about the services he provides, the products he uses and how to maintain the look after he was finished, and he was respectful of the property itself and of us, as people. I would use Dave again in a heartbeat and would strongly recommend him to everyone!

He was on time and went to work right away . First he vacuumed the carpet then went to steam cleaning it and working h****** my high traffic spots. After cleaning he had a tool that raked the carpet to fluff it back up. Was the best cleaning my carpet has ever had in the last six years I have had it.

The individual who came out was the owner and very nice. He did a good job. I had asked him to clean the entrance in one of the rooms and didn't do that, maybe he just forgot. Otherwise, the work was alright.

We purchased a previously owned home that was in need of thorough cleaning. Every room had many years of layered grime in it. Over The Top restored the home to its original beauty with meticulous detail and in a quick time frame that met our needs to move into our new home. They showed up on time everyday and completed the job in 2 days as promised working long days to meet our deadline. You name it David cleaned it and it looks brand new again. I would highly recommend them to family & friends and we will use him again !!

I had two rooms that I needed cleaned, but I was getting ready to head out of town. I called and spoke to David on one afternoon and he was able to come in the very next morning. He did an excellent job on the carpets and was able to remove all signs of dirt in the high traffic area. He is friendly and professional. I really appreciated that he could work me in so quickly and did quality work.

David, the owner, arrived promptly. Before entering my home, he covered his shoes with disposable booties. After I showed him the rooms to be cleaned, he took a special light to pinpoint the areas where my old dog had soiled the carpet. Next he used a commercial vacuum cleaner and vacuumed each room. Because he had long hoses running from his truck, through the garage into my house to the bedrooms, he used special corner covers to protect my walls as he worked with the hoses to clean the carpets. My house smelled wonderful because David used a cleaner that had a pleasant orange smell. I also had questions about cleaning the tile and grout in my house. He gave me an estimate based on square feet and then he spot cleaned a dark piece of grout. The result made the area look brand new. I will definitely use Over the Top Cleaning Service again. They take pride in their work and the end result shows it.

It went very well. David was very professional and very concerned with making sure we got what we needed. The 13 year old couch looked like new when he finished. It had cost $5,000 new and I couldn't afford to replace it with one of the same quality at today's prices. The fabric on both pieces brightened up considerably. I think he even got all the animal hair off the couch from 2 of our 3 cats who have died. Also there is definately no pet odor left and our current cat and dog don't get on those pieces. David left my house cleaner than when he found it and we were very pleased with his work and professionalism.

David was on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Price was reasonable and would hire again.
