Jim is a true pleasure to do business with and a thorough professional. He gave me a detailed quote about the job and informed me completely about the discounts available from FPL and IRS and how to apply for it. When I was ready to do the project he promptly applied for the permit and got it approved. he came in to work on the right day and got the water heater and solar panels professionally installed. He explained how the inspection to work and we passed inspection in 1 try. Jim even followed up the day after inspection to make sure everything went well. I have been dealing with a lot of contractors lately for projects I am doing around the house and I must say Broward Solar has been the best experience of all.

Just outstanding! Our solar is more than 10 years old, and we inherited it when we bought the house. Broward Solar has been out three times - first to replace a shorted control box, second to diagnose air in the system (my fault, needed an O-ring at the filter), and finally to fix a leak caused by a pressure washer. Their rates are excellent, they show up when they say they will, and don't nickel-and-dime. I wish all service providers were this good.

Electrical water heater: 4th time I am not able to use the product, a very expensive one. The first time it showed an error message I wanted to return it, but workarounds have always been proposed, postponing a return. Jim is very responsive and always comes to fix - but a BRAND NEW product VERY EXPENSIVE should not neet fixing. The last "solution" is clean the filter EVERY WEEK so the spa heater will work otherwise it just doesn't work. _________________ UPDATE It turned out the problem was the installation. So Jim apologized, removed the water heater and returned the full amount we had paid. So yes, I'd recommend the services for solar panels, which we also did with his company, but for the electrical heaters I'd follow up closely.

I called 4 different companies for estimates. Jim was the only one who showed up on time. His quote was slightly more than the least expensive but his integrity, honesty and willingness to share knowledge sold me. His crew showed up on time, they were very courteous and very neat. They finished the work by end of day as promised. Workmen cleaned up after themselves. He even followed up the next day with phone call. We would highly recommend Broward Solar.

It was really nice working with Jim. He came over and went through everything he was going to do, explained the different types of solar panels out there and why he uses the ones he does. The quote was reasonable and we decided to go with him. They came out to our house and completed the installation in half a day including painting the pipes to match the house so everything blended in. I recommend Broward Solar for anyone looking to get solar panels installed.

I bought an older house and never had a solar hot water system before. I noticed a leak coming from one of the valves. I called Broward Solar at 10:00 am on 10/16/13 to explain the problem and Jim showed up at 10:30 am (that never happens!!!!). He took time to explain the ins and outs of my system and even provided me with solar solutions for my in-ground pool. I would highly recommend this company if you have any solar needs. I will be calling them back to perhaps add a pool heater in the future and to remove the solar panel when I have my roof done. The fix to the problem was only $95 and it took Jim 15 minutes to complete. A+++ service!!!!

I had planned on contacting several vendors to understand their solar pool heater products and prices. The first vendor was Broward Solar, and I was so impressed with the way Mr.. Jim Coryell explained everything, including the product, the warranty and the overall price, that I decided not to contact any additional vendors. There weeks later, my heater was installed, and the company did a fantastic Job!. I am now enjoying the product backed by a 20 year warranty and a professional local company. Thanks Broward Solar!

It was one of the best experiences we've ever had with a service provider! Jim and his crew did the installation with no problems and no mess. He was so professional and helpful truly a business owner that realizes your reputation is what makes your business a success. Installing a solar pool heater is truly the best money we ever spent we have gotten so much use out of our pool while our neighbors pools have been too cold to swim. It's a even more fun to swim in a warm pool and know your not paying FPL a penny!

Jim was very helpful answering all my questions and also right on top with everything I needed to get the FPL rebate. The team worked efficient and quietly which was important for me with a little baby in the house. No problems whatso ever. Great job ! Can absolutely recommend them.

They did a great job. They were prompt and professorial. The price was reasonable and did a good job overall. They were also very quick.

The installation went well and was done in a day.

The owner called me within the hour of my call to ask me about what was going wrong, I told him that I had run off near the area of my roof panel. He mentioned that he did not know if some would be out today, but surely someone would be here by the morning tomorrow. He was very nice and explained to me what was going on. They were able to fit me in today, which was fine with me since they knew I was going to be home. They looked at the system told me what needed to be done, did the fix in no time flat, replaced a valve on the roof and replaced the little motor. Very nice men.

I met with Jim at my home. He checked out my garage and current hot water system. With the set-up we have and the south exposure for optimum solar collection, I am certain we wil be doing a Solar Hot Water system. I checked with one company (West Coaster - if you need to know) before meeting Jim and they were outragiously hgh. Jim brought it back down to Earth and made it all understandable. The COST is one thing, about $5k, then the FP&L rebate of $1k and the Tax Incentive of 30%. Jim was not a high pressure or bothersome business man. We were planning a vacation so he could give us some time. :) He gave me the info I needed to submit for the FP&L Rebate. APPROVED !! perfect. Now to get it done. I had checked with another local company after meeting with Jim. They were VERY GOOD as well, but the FEEL of Jim and the anticipated follow through he will provide ... SOLD. Now to get the financing set up to DO the JOB SOON!! (he doesn't know that yet though). :) THANK YOU Jim ~ for being a good business person and taking the time to talk, show and tell. WE DID THE RESEARCH with FP&L. If you go to your on-line account and enter ALL your data into their system (a lot of work), it'll show where you are with the expense of heating your hot water now. We were at 38% of our usage was H2O. Too much!! With the $5k - $1k; -$1.3k = $2,700... saving $60-85/month AND that is for LIFE... Come on people! Check this out!! I'll have all the data to chow anyone interested. before and after: the actual month to month savings from INSTALL DATE forward.

I think it went well over all, I am getting a much lower electric bill and saving energy. Oh, and Broward Solar will come out and check on anything going wrong afterward, they are very nice and professional, and Jim is easy to understand and explains everything well. Just very easy way to go if you want to go Solar, call Broward Solar!

Didn't seem interested in doing the business.

I called several companies to get a price to repair and also to get an estimate for a second system. One of Broward Solar's competitors didn't respond at all and another want to charge me $96 to tell me how much they were going to charge me.. Broward Solar told me when they would come by and that they would call me first to let me know they were on their way. They called and showed up as promised. Figured out what was rong and fixed it. It was a simple repair but still took 1/2 hour. They did not charge me for their labor and charged me only for the part (slightly less than I paid for the part myself). They gave me the estimate which was less than I expected. I will have the new work done next month and won't even bother to get another estimate. An honest, competent professional is a pleasure to deal with.

After receiving two other quotes, Broward Solar Inc. was contracted to do the job. Jim was very responsive and answered all the questions I had, explaining the scope of the job and any pitfalls that may occur. He was always just a phone call away. I was impressed with his punctuality and ease of service. The first two service calls he made, I was not home, but the work was done properly and with high quality. Jim was excellent to work with. He was referred to me from a friend, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone with Solar needs.

Was looking for a company to fix my solar heater. Called one company that had many reviews on Angie's list. They wanted a credit card before even coming out to give an estimate. I knew my repair was minor so I would of thought maybe they would let me speak to someone other than the receptionist to explain the problem and get an idea of what I was looking at. That did not happen of course. I then decided to call Broward Solar. Jim picked up right away. Spoke to him and told him what the issue was and he said it shouldn't be a big deal to repair. Jim was at my house within 15 minutes. Everything was fixed within a half hour. The price was very fair. Great company! One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor down here in South Florida! Thank you so much Jim!!

Prior to installation they loaned me a part to keep my old water heater running until the FPL rebate program was in effect. Once I was eligible, they installed a new system. They took the time to improve the positioning of the panel on the roof, and steamlined the plumbing to the new tank. Everything was cleaned up and the system is running as expected. They provided good paperwork and my FPL rebate application was quickly approved.

Jim with Broward Solar, Inc. is awesome. I decided to choose his company after reading reviews on Angie's List. The process was seamless from beginning to end. He promptly returned my call, came to our house the same day, and completed the repair. By the time my husband got home that evening, everything was completed, and he didn't even know I called someone! Jim went the extra step to explain and demonstrate how the solar panels operate (we are new owners to this home) and even noticed that our pool water looked a little low and put the hose in for me to replenish it! I really appreciated the attention and care he gave to such a minor service call. We definitely have found our solar man! We are even thinking about replacing our water heaters with solar ones!
