Fantastic!! I called this morning and spoke with Steve who initially stated he wouldn't be available until early next week, however I explained my immediate need and he was very responsive. Steve requested I send him pictures so he could determine what needed to be done. After he received the photos, he advised he could do the job today and said it would be between 12-2pm. Steve sent me another message advising he would be arriving at my house between 1-1:30pm. Steve showed up on time, was courteous, professional and made sure everything was in good working order. I highly recommend Steve and his company for your garage door servicing needs.

Sunday afternoon one spring broke on garage door and chain came off opener. Friend was here and helped open door by hand in order to get car out. VERY heavy door. I looked on Angie's List and read reviews on several garage door repair people. The reviews for S & G were very good. I e-mailed S & G since it was Sunday afternoon, hoping they would call Mon. AM. Within an hour Steve called and set up first thing in the morning ( between 7 & 7;30) to come and replace springs. 7:25 he was at the door. In short order he had replaced the springs (both) put the door opener back together and was gone. He was pleasant, and efficient. I would call him again in a heartbeat and will recommend him to anyone who needs anything done on garage doors.

Owner of S&G Garage Doors actually responded within 30 minutes to assist in getting our garage door closed. We could not close the garage door due to cables coming off track. We cut the cable and that was a mistake. We had to leave our garage door half way open. He arrived and took care of that problem. He said he would return at 8:30 the next morning to replace the cables. He quoted me $100.00. He arrived on time the next morning and it took him only 45 minutes to install. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him to anyone. A very professional business owner.

I recently purchased a home and was moving in on a Friday afternoon to find out I could not open the garage door (at all). I called S&G based on the high reviews on Angies list. Steve was at my house in about and hour and was able to get it functioning. I knew it was in bad shape and was expecting to have to replace it but Steve was able to buy me some time. He called within a couple hours with a very fair quote to have the whole thing replaced and will be doing so in the near future.

Steve was very easy to reach, quick to respond to emails, and prompt arriving at our home. He even made special arrangements to come to our home in the evening after we got home from work. He quickly identified the problem, fixed a broken spring and "tuned up" our garage door system. He was courteous and professional and we will definitely use him again in the future, if needed!

By garage door would not open. I called S&G because I found them on Angie's list. The guy called me back quickly and came out the very same afternoon. He identified the problem fixed it quickly and the charge was reasonable.

I submitted a request via email and they responded immediately. They were on time for the appointment and the installation was quick and easy. I had no problems whatsoever.

I called on Monday and received an appointment for the next day (between 11:00 and 1:00). Steve showed up exactly at 11:00 and was finished 45 minutes later. He was very courteous and answered all my questions fully and willingly. He clearly knows his business and performed it in an efficient and professional manner. My neighbor had used S&G the week before and highly recommended this company. I researched them on Angie's List and found confirmation of this recommendation. I also would very highly recommend using S&G for garage door related repairs. They also previously installed the garage door and opener for the builder in 2003. Until the torsion spring broke (and they all will 7-10 years after installation) we have had zero problems with the operation and maintenance of the door.

Stephen was great. Actually he had setup the device months earlier and everything was working fine, until I acidentally reset the remote. No problem - He came back and reset it for me. Fair and fast - Good Service - Thanks!

It went perfect. I had an appointment with them, but they called with an opening a few days earlier and came within an hour. They did the work and it all functions great.

Quick response. Very professional. The light had quit working when I opened the garage door. He cleaned the motor and took care of other maintenance issues when he was here without trying to up sell me. i called a couple of other companies before S and G came out. When I told them the problem with the light, they didn't have the professional sense to even offer to come help.

Steven returned our call right away and we scheduled an appointment with him in which we did not need to wait for an extended period. He was punctual replacing both springs on our garage door. He needed to order an extra part for the door which we requested and returned today to finish. He left originally with the garage door functioning. We are very happy with his service. He was very professional and we will use him again. We would recommend Steven to anyone who would ask to have their garage door repaired or anything to do with a garage door. We are very pleased with his work and cost !!!

The service was very good. They were on time and did exactly what they were supposed to.

Called on Sunday when door broke and Steve graciously agreed to come out Monday morning at 7A to get it fixed so I could take my daughter to school. Arrived on time and was very quick and courteous and educated me on things to watch out for in the future. When he was done, charged me what I thought was a too little for such fast, quality service but he refused my suggestion of putting in an "emergency service" line item on the bill. I felt a little bad paying as little as I did for the job that was done but I agreed to make sure and leave an honest review here on Angie's List. I can't praise this service high enough.

They came out immediately, were very efficient, and did a great job. We will be using them again soon.

He was punctual and honest. He did not try to upsell me. He was reasonable and fair.

Steve the owner came at the appointed appointment time, was punctual and was able to check out the problem. He returned the next day with the replacement and spent approximately an hour and half to do the job and explained the use of the equipment. I was very pleased with the process/along with cost.

The springs on my garage door managed to break just as I drove into the garage after work. The door fell and I was unable to open it up again in order to get my car out of the garage. It was after 5:00 pm when this happened and I would need to leave for work early the next morning so I needed to get it fixed that evening. I called two 24 hour companies who quoted me outrageous amounts to come and repair my door but neither could come out until the next morning. I then called S & G Garage Door. They were very helpful and came out within an hour of my call and didn't even charge me extra for evening rates. The young man who runs the company was so nice and professional and did a great job and very quickly. in addition the parts and labor are under warranty for 3 years. I will definitely use his services again.

I called Steve on Monday to inquire about having a Liftmaster 3800 opener installed (I'd already purchased the opener online). Steve said he could install the opener around 11am Wednesday. Steve showed up on time and did a fantastic install. Very courteous and competent. I'd would recommend S&G witout hesitation .

It takes quite a bit to truly blow me away as a consumer! Steve at S&G Garage Doors did just that. Steve drove to my house in Dunedin, which isn't all that close to New Port Richey, replaced a broken part, and put it back on the track. My Garage door now runs great. Here's the kicker! Steve told me it was an easy fix and refused to charge me for the roller wheel part or labor! In an industry known for taking advantage of people due to their lack of knowledge, I feel like I took advantage of him. He was extremely professional and even after my pleading, Steve refused to even take gas money from me. Most Garage Door companies including the highly rated ones here are essentially middle men who have to pay themselves and the subcontractor they send to your home. If you're looking for an honest guy with out a middle man to give you great service and great price (if any price at all) Steve should be you guy! I'm still feeling a bit bad, so hopefully someone reading this review will use Steve, thereby in a round about way paying for his Gas money!

Absolutely excellent. While replacing the springs, Steve checked the rest of the door and components. Steve noticed one of the steel cables that lift the door was frayed. He immediately replaced that wire - at no extra charge. Steve also mentioned that the garage door opener did not operate. He stated there was a gear on the inside, but that the opener could be completely repaired for about $50 - but he had to order the part. Steve suggested that it would be much cheaper if I ordered the part online, and did it myself, for about $12. He even described, in detail, how to fix the problem. One the smaller overhead door, Steve checked its operation and adjusted the door and opener, as well as lubricated both door. Again, at no extra charge. Steve takes great pride in his business and his work. He is prompt, professional and very reasonably priced. I will rely on S & S for all of my future garage door needs, and will highly recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

My garage door stopped working so I checked Angies List for a reliable repair service in our area. I called S & G of New Port Richey and talked to Steve. He responded within an hour and determined the spring was broken. In a short time he had the springs replaced, also recommended that the rubber door gasket be replaced because it was not sealing the door properly. Steve did an excellent job, was prompt and professional.
