The company was very understanding about our mixing uop the dates due to a death in the family and caused a delay in the schedule The installer was thorough as he checked all lawn sprinkler heads, he was courteous in asking if he could move the location of the new replacement master box. We would definitely call this company for our future needs.

The tech was great but I never heard back on a final report & I wanted to have some sprinkler heads capped to save water. Never heard back.

The company was very accommodating for appointment time and managed to fit me in at short notice. Person doing the work was very knowledgeable and not only did he correct the minor problems, he also explained the entire system to us so we can manage the irrigation system better, saving water and even watering of our lawn and plants. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

Very professional and went above and beyond. Had a couple of sprinkler heads that needed replacing and did it for a very low price (I think it was $5 each, but can't recall exactly). He was friendly, non-intrusive and got the job done quickly. We're calling them again this week.

The lawn care representative was very courteous and professional. He was very knowledgeable as well. Besides he was very knowledgeable.

I don't remember the date I originally called in to make my appointment but I talked to Victor and set up the appointment for between 8 am and noon today (2/5). I made all my appointments for the day after the closing on my house. It was about 1.5-2 weeks ago at least. About 11:30 rolls around and all of my other appointments had come and gone and I had not seen anyone from Active Lawn Care & Landscaping. All of the reviews had gushed about how timely they were. So I thought I'd go ahead and call and find out if they were running behind, or if they had forgotten me. [don't run yet, I gave them all A's anyway because the service was well worth this mix up] I spoke to an extremely nice lady named Shari. She took my name and number and called Victor to verify because she didn't see me on the calendar. She immediately called back and sincerely apologized but said my appointment must have been left off the calendar. She said her tech Justin just finished up another job and could come right over. I said, perfect... I was painting all day anyway. Justin was AWESOME. I am a first time home owner, and didn't know much of anything relating to my irrigation system. He gave me sprinklers 101 and showed me how to program my timer and everything. We walked through each zone and he did tweaks and turns here and there. We got to the back of the house and I had some big concerns about the sprinklers hitting the house and back patio, and watering the conservation area that is not on my property. These were items discovered during my home inspection on 1/11/2013. Justin gave recommendations of moving 2 sprinkler heads so that they wouldn't be pointing towards the house or watering the preserve. If he didn't have another appointment, I would have had him make the change right then and there. I had mentioned to Justin that I was going to be adding a fence to the side yard, which could quite possibly interfere with a few sprinkler heads, and also one we were talking about moving. Justin advised he would write up the proposal but recommended we do the work upon the completion of my fence. This is a great point because we might have to move more than the 2 originally suggested. I called Shari upon Justin's completion and was able to pay by credit card over the phone. So it started off a little shaky, but Justin was awesome, and the price quoted for the upcoming proposal is fantastic ($65/man hour plus $35 or so estimated in for possible parts - excellent deal, and of course they won't charge you for parts unless they're needed). Just make your appointments with Shari :)

Several of my sprinkler heads weren't fully working or pointing in the right direction causing several dry spots in my sprinkler coverage. I purchased the "Full Sprinkler Tune Up" package from Angie's List. The technician came out and seemed to be in a hurry and he also DIDN'T WANT TO GET WET (he actually said this several times) even though he is a sprinkler professional??? I told him my concerns and he began addressing those specific concerns. One problem was in a zone where the technician would have to get wet to change out the sprinkler head. He told me that he probably didn't have the part I needed in his truck to fix that sprinkler head. After I insisted he look or order the part, he came back from his truck with the part and fixed it (I assume he just didn't want to get wet). Then I had another head that wasn't rotating as far as it should. He explained that the head was "stripped" so it was hard to adjust. I asked how much it would cost to replace the part...that I'd be willing to pay $35 to have the part work right...he then was able to fix it. Regarding that same sprinkler range, I had explained that it shouldn't go into the shrubs b/c too much water would kill them (they are Plumbagos). He tested the head by quickly moving the head back and forth with his hand and said it was fixed ( I guess he didn't have time to stand with me and watch the full rotation of the sprinkler). After a week I noticed that the Plumbagos were getting too much water. I called the company and asked that they send out a different technician to fix the problem. They said they would. However, the same technician showed up the second time. He was polite but again, he didn't want to get wet (he said so this time too). I explained my coverage problems again and together we fixed the problem. I just felt that the technician did not take into consideration how certain tweaks of a sprinkler head would affect other zones. I believe that if I had not called them back out that I could have lost several shrubs due to over watering. I wish the professional could have advised me and suggested solutions instead of saying things like "I don't think I have that part" or "I don't want to get wet". It made me feel like I was putting him out and I didn't feel confident that things would be done correctly with his hasty service.

The technician was excellent. He checked the entire system, reprogrammed the controller, and repaired two broken pipes which were causing issues. He was patient and thorough and very courteous.

Dan was very friendly, and had a great amount of expertise in his field. He gave me important advice about a large tree on the property, and advised against treatment recommended by another company. I'd rather buy quality sprinkler heads and not have them maufunction in the future, ruining the grass.

Justin did a great job with the sprinkler repairs that were needed. He showed up per his appointment time, went right to work, did all that he said he would do. The system was in need of a good number of repairs and he took care of them all right away. Will definitely use Active again.

The appointment was made and kept promptly. They found several breaks in our system and repaired them (at extra cost) but couldn't do them all because a part was needed. I had thought the deal was for inspection and optomization, but I guess repairs to line breaks go beyond that.

Don't have time to explain in detail. The service was done timely, at a reasonable to low price, based on the difficulty of the location of the backflow preventer and with great professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my best friend. If I ever need these type of services again, they will be the first people I call. Could not be more impressed with their service.

I bought a coupon on Angie's List for $35. Active Lawn Care and Landscaping was to go over all sprinkler heads to check for correct coverage, flow, etc., and to make all adjustments necessary. They also were to check the timer setting and correct as needed. I left a message on their voice mail when I called to schedule the appointment and wondered when I'd get a call back. I didn't have to wait long, before fifteen minutes passed they called and I was able to make the appt. within a short time. On the scheduled day, the man arrived on time. He knocked courteously on our door, then explained everything that he would do and requested my approval and any other thoughts I had. Our thinking was identical, so he started. When he finished and we spoke again, he had done exactly what he said he'd do. He did not try to upsell me. He did not try to sell me anything. He explained that their firm (he was not the owner) did lots of work for resorts in the Disney area and the winter was a slow season for that work. So the work he did for me was the type of work that they can do and stay busy. The man who came was a real gentleman. He was not in a rush to leave; he took the time needed to answer all of my questions. He explained a lot about what's good for the grass and what isn't, and so forth. I told him I had a coupon and was ready to go get it, but he said I didn't need to, because he had a copy in his truck. I could not have been more satisfied than I was and still am. I would definitely call this firm if I needed similar work done in the future. I am very pleased to recommend this firm very highly.

On time; performed work as described; completed unsupervised; followed up. Humble Suggestion to other customers: when they come to perform work and discover minor fixes that can be completed in same trip DO IT. Else customer's cost is higher if they have to do a second trip to fix minor stuff. Suggestion to the vendor: let the customer know immediately before your tech leaves the property to take care of minor fixes in one trip. Save yourself time and save your customers money.

My lawn sprinklers did not require anything more than minor adjustments which he did, so there was no attempt to offer work that was not necessary.

The technician from Active Lawn Care was excellent - polite, informative and professional. He spent about 90 minutes inspecting the function of every component of our system. He then gave me a tutorial on how to properly program & monitor the sprinklers. Lastly, he showed me what adjustments and tuning he thought would give us better results, and he made those changes. I used Active a 2nd time when a zone valve failed, flooding my yard while I was away. They responded, replaced the valve & tested the system. The price was very reasonable. Overall, a very good, professional service company.

Appointment setting was easy and the technician showed up on time. Dan thoroughly inspected my sprinkler system. He repaired one and replaced another. He answered all my horticultural questions and solved problems with my watering system that I was thinking would be much more expensive. I will definitely recommend Active Lawn Care to anyone needing landscaping or irrigation services.

Just fine. On time, called first, professional. Turns out our sprinkler is working well. Turns out our well is dry. We have to find someone to drill in search of another well on our property. This company does not offer that particular service. Any suggestions?

Justin (a very professional and polite young man) arrived before 8AM for the scheduled appointment. He went right to work after listening to my needs. He flushed the lines and found another break in the same zone which he dugout and repaired very quickly. He also discovered that one of the heads was leaking. But, he did not push to replace the head unless I wanted it done. Justin also replaced a head in another zone with one that I had on hand, replaced another leaking one and capped off another head at my request. He fine tuned all the zones and doubled checked his work. The additional cost over the package tune-up was very reasonable and I would not hesitate to highly recommend the services of Active Lawn Care and Landscaping to everyone.

We were having our roof cleaned and had to run the irrigation system to soak the plants around the house to protect them. Active lawn care worked us into their busy schedule to coordinate with the rood cleaning. They were very professional and capable. It was a great experience working with them and I am delighted to have the chance to praise their good work.
