+ -1 moreA couple of weeks ago,on my previous review, which was all good, except for the comment that I did not receive the promised proposal. The owner called with concern, after seeing this comment, he gave the date it was e-mailed. Apparently, I deleted it by mistake. Apologies. Once again, I was impressed with the professionalism, punctuality and politeness I received from the representative. I am waiting to receive the proposal and I'll make my decision then.

+ -1 moreIn an effort to rectify this matter, I will be contacting the Provider today to voice my concerns/complaints and to request that a different Technician come and not only perform the work that was not done, but perform it properly and sufficiently. At this point, I have no reason to believe the Provider will not take fully responsibility and do everything it should to resolve this issue as the lady who schedules the appointments is very courteous and seems professional (the first impression of a company is the first person you talk to, and she did a very nice job). If/when the work is performed correctly, I will update this review. Otherwise, it will remain as-is (letting you know the service YOU can likely expect). UPDATE: The day after I called the Provider, the Technician's supervisor met with me to discuss my concerns. He was remarkably pleasant and professional. He listened with open ears, yet did not undermine his employee (he walked that very tight line perfectly, which gained my respect), and personally corrected the issues. I do, however, still believe their prices are very high. I am pleased with the outcome of the service (just not the process it took to get it) and am awaiting a proposal to have a timer installed for the sprinkler system. I plan to seek other proposals to compare costs.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to do all of the following, according to its advertisement for a "Full Sprinkler Tune-Up" for $42.50 (which I paid in advance, on-line, through Angie's List): (1) Check for line leaks, dry areas and broken sprinkler heads, (2) Clean and adjust clogged nozzles, (3) Check rain and freeze sensor operation, (4) Set controller for proper watering time and duration, and (5) Adjust all heads and rotors for most efficient coverage. The advertisement indicated the tune-up covered up to eight zones. Items 3 and 4 are not applicable in this situation as I do not have a sensor; rather, I manually operate the sprinkler system consisting of only three zones. Of the remaining items, the Technician informed that one sprinkler head had a leak and needed to be replaced and he performed the work for $96.00. The location of that sprinkler head is in the corner where the driveway and walkway to the front door meet (heavily used traffic area). The mess the Technician left is still there; it is a muddy, filthy mess spreading out approximately one yard in all directions that I will clean up today in order for the walkway to be clean and clear, the way it was when the Technician arrived. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the sprinklers are watering the street because the Technician did not "adjust all heads and rotors for the most efficient coverage." One head is actually doing almost a full circle (watering more of the street than the yard). Finally, the Technician did not "clean and adjust clogged nozzles." None of the nozzles were cleaned at all, and one remains clogged.

+ 1 moreI only witnessed 1 fertilizer application & I am almost always home. After they adjusted sprinkler system one of the heads in the back yard sprays our windows. Secondly a head in front side of house did not work. I called regarding this problem but got no response. I bought a new head & installed it. I called & advised same & I expected him to stop & adjust the new head etc. but no response. At this stage I do not want him to come without notice & appointment.

+ -1 moreHe check all my sprinkles. I have 4 zones and recently I installed a new fence. Lately, my water bill increased almost 40%, and I didn't realize that the company that installed the fence broke some sprinklers and a PVC Pipe that provided water to a few bushes on the side of the fence. I do apologize that I don't remember the name of the worker who came to my house, because I work from home and I was working when he came, and was really patient with the whole situation. He was very professional, friendly, and understanding. He fixed most of the problem without charging me one more penny. He recommend to change two sprinklers, but, I was really busy working and he was so kind to mark the sprinklers with a little flag. He also programmed the sprinklers to go automatically, something I had not been able to do before. I recommend this company 100% and let me tell you something, I am really picky with customer service and quality. He went beyond expected. Thanks, Mrs. Flankey

+ -1 moreIt was good. The only thing I would say is, the service that was performed and everything was good. Its just that last time I bought it, nobody responded to me. I had to call them and schedule or something. I don't know if you would call that professionalism. They were professional it just took them awhile to call back. They showed up on time but they didn't call me back. I actually had a couple of things extra that they did which ended up being $80 something. It was really convenient because they really did it and I was not at the property at that time. I would use them again.

The only hiccup was that after he left I discovered that my cable service was out. It turns out while digging he had cut the cable line. Luckily Bright House was able to repair it within two days.
Description of Work: Active Lawn Care came out and performed a tune up and repair of my sprinkler system. They took their time checking everything and set a watering program for me. It was discovered that 3 heads need to be replaced and the cost was not much more than I would have payed going to Lowes or Home Depot; plus they installed and adjusted them for me. Great price for the amount of time they spent!

+ -1 moreI paid for an irrigation system assessment. We were told at the end of the initial assessment that there were four sprinkler heads not connected with any of the zones on our system. Instead of assessing the problem while there for the paid assessment, at the end of the "assessment" I received an estimate for them to come back and do an assessment and "troubleshooting" at an hourly rate for an unspecified period of time plus unspecified costs. When I asked for more detail regarding what was being quoted I was told that they could not provide more detail about what they needed to do to fix the sprinkler heads at issue without doing an assessment... Why would I pay for an assessment when the only result is that they need to do an assessment? I spoke with Victor at the company and got no where. I will not be using their services in the future.
