Although not very friendly he was professional and I have no doubt he would get the job done.

This was one of the specials that was running a while back. I took a chance and scheduled. The young man that came was right on time, professional and did a really great job. This company gave me a little more confidence that there are good people out there. I had them give me an estimate for something else I was thinking of and the estimate was in my email the very next morning, professionally written and reasonable. If I choose to do the work, there is no doubt I will have them come back. Debby

It did not turn out very good. They came three times in order to correct the pipes because it is not flowing. After he connected the pipe he had to turn it on and do the irrigation tune up. Then the pipe broke and they said they would give me a quote and then would come back and fix it. I called them many times and emailed them. We went back and forth. Later they said they would do the quote later and they said the people would come out and fix it. I never saw them so later I had the irrigation tune up by myself. I paid them, like, $250 to connect the pipes and things like that. This is beside what I already paid for the big deal. We thought we could do this because I wanted to run a separate line for the backyard water main. They did not work very professional on my property. I think they just started. They did not make sure the irrigation was working propertly.

No issues at all! They came, surveyed the irrigation system, made suggestions for improvement, replaced a malfunctioning head, and gave a quote for the work needed. I will call them to implement that plan. Very kind, very efficient, and very patient.

Great! The man that showed up was on time very polite, and courteous. He informed me of sprinkler heads that would need to be adjusted. I will call this company when this work needs to be done.

The provider checked the entire sprinkler system and made recommendations if something needed to be repaired or replaced. The inspection was very thorough and I had several sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced. However, the provider was not prepared to do any of the work that was recommended. I was told they would get back to me to schedule an appointment if I wanted them to do the work to replace the sprinkler heads. However, by the time they got back to me with an estimate I had already had the work done by another company. So, overall the inspection was good, but, it would have been great if they were prepared to fix some of the problems on the initial visit.

A guy came out, took a look around, and emailed me a couple of days later with an estimate of approximately $500 for repairs. I was expecting a detailed report. The Big Deal is for an estimate. They don't do anything for what you pay.

He did a very thorough inspection and I was impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. He explained to me where I had issues and how I could fix those and what it would cost if I would like them to do the repairs. I was able to do it myself but if I had anything major I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Update (7/31/15): Victor has since reached out to me since my last posting and has been great to work with. He is very responsive and accommodating. I really do appreciate the proactiveness of Victor. (7/27/15) I requested an estimate for some work to be performed on my sprinkler system through Angie's List. Through a response via Angie's List, the office manager stated a technician would be in touch with me. I followed up via the same message thread one week later because a technician never reached out. Also received no response from Office Manager. I guess they have so much business they don't care about any follow ups. Won't be recommending these people.

My irrigation system was struck by lightening. The damage was extensive. The guys from Active came to the house and provided me step by step how they would troubleshoot my irrigation system. They provided cost estimates each step of the way. My irrigation is up and going, and they did a great job! Very happy. Will call them if I need assistance again in the future.

This is an error on Angieslist. I did not contact this provider.

It was fine. It was just the $42.50 big deal that cost me. I think the bad thing that they did was they forgot to install the lines because they had to come back and do it right. They must make sure that they have all their items on their checklist that they will use. They were good. They were nice guys and they handles the situation very timely and effectively. There were no other issues.

We were very pleased with the work that was done - the technician was highly skilled, showed great attention to detail, and worked very hard to be sure that everything was working properly and that we were pleased with the results. We subsequently hired Active to provide weekly lawn care and have been quite satisfied so far.

Very quick and thorough. The guy knew what he was doing and wasted very little time. Made sure all sprinklers were facing the right way and were working properly.

The tune-up was fine and the young man did a great job explaining the process. Naturally they found other work that needed to be done at an additional cost. However, they were not pushy about doing the additional work and their quote seemed inline with what other companies would have charged for similar work. Most of these items I was aware of anyway. (broken sprinkler head for example) The tune-up they did while here was well worth the money and the service and promptness was excellent.

Purchased a sprinkler system tune-up special through Angie's List on June 17. Their ad said they could schedule immediately, but when they called on June 18, they said the next available appointment was for July 6. I received a confirmation e-mail that said: "Date: Monday, 7/6/15 Time Frame: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Notation: Technician will call you in advance of arrival." On 7/6, no one called, and no one came. When I looked up the e-mail to call them, they had an invalid telephone number listed in the signature: "Phone: 407-2955". I replied to the confirmation e-mail. Victor called the next day and apologized that their new system had lost my appointment. rescheduled for that day (7/7). Salesman, Robert, gave me 3 estimates ranging from $200.26 to $671.10, depending on what I wanted done, but they did not carry mechanical timers, so suggested I upgrade to digital ($173 - mechanical is $92.94 retail). They really wanted everything upgraded to digital instead of mechanical, which we did NOT want. Victor agreed to replace the controller if I would supply it, but they would not warranty it. Proposal was for a "4-station, 3-zone module" ,,, we have five zones and one indexing valve, so not sure Robert was familiar with the older systems. Set appointment for 7/15. When Brian, the technician, arrived, he said he had not been told which cam was needed, and would have to return on 7/16. Victor called to say he would go pick up the part in Ocala, and again mentioned the "20-year-old technology" of the mechanical systems. He really wanted us to upgrade to digital, but we feel the mechanical is more reliable and durable. Brian was awesome. He determined we did not need a whole new indexing valve; only the cam needed replacing. He discovered that our timer had never been grounded (scary), replaced the cam and the timer and a ball valve, performed the tune-up and proposed we replace several sprinkler heads which are not working properly, probably due to tree roots and age of system. I will request that Brian do the additional work. He is very competent and only replaced the necessary items, and did the work in less time than estimated. Brian is the reason I am giving this and "A", after all the hassles in the beginning.

I was not happy with them at all. I thought everything was fine. The next day, my water was due to come on. It came on at 5:00 in the morning. It continued to go on again. It didn’t stop. I had to manually turn it off. Then it came on again the next day. I wasn’t happy because I thought he had set it up correctly but obviously, he didn’t. I wasn’t real thrilled about the service. I would always have to turn it off manually. I was kind of apprehensive because sometimes my sprinkler came on in the middle of the day. The neighbour would call me and say if I knew that my sprinklers were on. I don’t know what went on with setting up my automatic sprinkler. They were very prompt and the fellow seemed very professional at what he did. He was very nice. He had done this work for several years. I thought all was well. I thought the price was very reasonable. The quality wasn’t really so good. They don’t know that it didn’t work right after they were here. I didn’t call them to ask them to come back. They have no idea that it didn’t work out. I should have alerted them immediately and I didn’t. I just let it go.

The service went well. They identified problems with the system and provided estimates for repairs. Costs were reasonable, and te repairs were performed quickly.

The serviceman arrived in the promised time window, and called first to make sure time was still good for me. He was polite and very professional. He described what actions were included in tune-up, and said he would ask me before any repairs. He recommended that one sprinkler head be replaced at cost of $24. (I said yes and he replaced it right then.) He gave me advice on timing for sprinkler system and explained reasons for recommendations. When I asked about alternate timing, he had a good idea that merged his recommendations and mine. Excellent! I was encouraged enough to ask for estimate on weekly lawn maintenance. He told me that they do provide that service, but did not work on trees. That's OK. He took pictures with phone and emailed them to office. I should receive estimate in email in a few days. Very impressive! I hope this works out for weekly lawn maintenance.
