The electrician arrived on time and explained their fees. He performed the work with professionalism in good time. We are very pleased to have found this company through Angie's List.

Kilby Electric were awesome. The price was slightly higher than average, but it was because their service was much higher than average. I liked everything: their service, their quality, their responsiveness, and their quality. Everything about them was awesome. I would absolutely use them again.

Kilby's responded to our request immediately. They told us exactly when their electrician would be available. The electrician called when he was on the way to our home. He explained the fee structure before he began work. He evaluated and fixed both problems to my satisfaction within one hour. He was friendly, careful, neat and professional. I will call the Kilby Electric Company whenever I need an electrician in the future.

Excellent service from start to finish.

I scheduled an estimate several weeks ago to get a quotation on installing an outlet for an over the range microwave, to finish out 6 outlets and a light switch, and the installation of three ceiling lights in a separate room (to include the installation of a new switch). Everything went as scheduled and I received the quotation within two days. A few weeks later I scheduled the work to take place about one week later. The electrician, David, arrive exactly when scheduled. We reviewed the scope of work and David immediately went to work in the kitchen. He was very professional and took time to answer my questions and explain what he was doing and why. Since I live in an old house there were several issues with the wiring and he corrected each problem along the way and made sure everything worked correctly. David came back the next morning exactly at the time he indicated and immediately went to work again. He installed three recessed lights and a light switch. Once again he was extremely thorough, very polite and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing electrical/lighting work and will use them for all my future electrical needs.

My experience with Kilby was incredible from start to finish. The receptionist that took my call was extremely efficient and friendly. I called about 4 PM in the afternoon and explained that the problem needed to looked at ASAP since my sprinkler repair company was coming out in the morning. She said she could have someone out the next morning. I asked if it could be an early appointment since I needed to leave by 9 AM. She set up a 7 AM appointment and offered to call me back with the service persons name. David arrived before 7 AM (it was still dark!). He had to use a head lamp to see! He diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in less than an hour. Needless to say, I was quite pleased and will definitely call them again.

They were responsive and professional. He set up a temporary fix to save me money.

They were great, they were able to come the same day I called them, they gave me a good window to work with. They came within that window, the gentleman that came was professional, clean, well organized, able to get the work done and explained everything that he was doing so it wasn't like he was trying to jip me or anything. I haven't had a lot of experience in the area of price and the quality was an A because quality is very important. He showed me what the problem was and where it was. He also called when he was on his way to make sure I was available.

Electrician was prompt and professional. Explained in detail work that was done and pricing. Work area left clean. We would definitely call Kilby again for electrical issues.

Everyone from Liz to Gene to the workers were professional, punctual, efficient and a pleasure. The job was done perfectly with as little holes possible which had to be made. I would absolutely recommend them - reasonable price and best service!

I used them for 2 separate jobs on different occassions. First job quoted $600 and if I did on the clock would have been about $400. Job quality was fine. I figured the 2nd job I would choose to be billed on the clock. Service person made 3 or 4 trips to truck. They made no adjustment for this time after I called to dispute. One trip I understand but 3? After calling, they were not inclined to make an adjustment and kept defending the actions of the electrician, who was a nice guy but certainly didn't respect MY money. Also wire was left hanging out of the fixture which they have agreed to remedy. I own 5 homes/rentals and would have had continuing work for them. But since adjusting the bill for me even a token amount ON PRINCIPAL to make me happy was too much for them, they lost my future business. I'd like to check the workmans' phone records while he was down going to his truck. No integrity to step up say, "yeah three trips was too much what would make you happy?"

We had joined Angie's List because as an out-of-state Landlord it was hard to find reliable companies to make repairs to our rental home in Miami. A few months later we had to quicky find a reliable company to fix the flourescent lights in the kitchen. After reading the reviews, we decided to call Kilby Electric Company. We were very pleased with the excellent customer service. We appreciate Liz coordinating the repair with the tenant. The job was done quickly and professionally and at a good price. We plan to use this company in the future.

Very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of all employees whom we came in contact with. Promptly responded to our request to evaluate electrical system on home built in 1957. Made excellent, practical recommendations and were very responsive to all of our requests. Were very careful to explain everything, thoroughly answered our questions, and insured that we understood and agreed to all work. We would be very happy to use them again and would higly recommend them to others.

The entire staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. David, the lead electrician, went out of his way to make the whole experience go as smoothly as possible, and pointed out several mistakes in former wiring work that we had not known about. I feel very fortunate to have had such experts handling what was a very important upgrade for an old house. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs true dedicated professionals.

We had a problem with our kitchen lights going on & off. They came out right away & said it was a bad switch, which they promptly fixed. By the next day, the lights were out entirely. We called them back. They came out within a day or so & did something which seemed to fix it (they did not explain what they did, or what the problem was). Later, they sent us a bill for the second visit! We complained, and they waved the bill "just because we were Angie's List customers." Now the lights still go on & off and I'm going to have to find another electrician. Overall, not very impressed. They answer the phone right away & send someone out promptly, and their prices are OK, but if they don't fix the problem, what's the point?

The person who set appointment apparently was newer and did not know that they weren't experts in gates. (not to worry, I found a gate expert in angies list who was great). Arrived a speck late and took a bit longer than I had expected. Nonetheless, I would say they were professional and did a good job.

Very happy. They were very responsive and helpful. They wanted to know where I heard about them and as soon as I mentioned Angie's list they offered me the discount with out asking. The communicated everything clearly to me regarding charges and scheduling. They came out the next day and called ahead of time to confirm. The technician was very polite and did a nice job and cleaned up afterwards. Very happy with the service and will call them again.

Excellent!!! On Monday the 15th (President's Day) late in the afternoon the circuit blew and wouldn't reset. I forgot not to run the electric heater from the dining room outlet the same time using the convection oven, which blew the refrigerator, convection oven and dining room circuit breaker I called Kilby hoping they could come out that day. Liz, said there was one person doing a job on Miami Beach and she would call me back. She did and said David would be there in about one hour. He was there one hour later and got right to work. David was very pleasant and explained to me what he was doing and why. He suggested for safety's sake that the GFI be installed. The house was built in1949 and no GFI was installed at that time. Funny thing is that I was going to call Kilby on Tuesday for someone to come out to give me an estimate on giving the refrigertor its own circuit breaker and for some other changes I needed.

Great, he was helpful, informative, and did not seem to overwork the job. He knew what it was and fixed the exact problem.
