Overall, it went pretty bad. I believe that the best measure of customer service is what the provider does when things go unexpectedly. The initial color match they made was off so they tried again and it ended up not matching the sample that I had at home. When I brought the paint and the original sample back they worked on it a bit more and came up with a good option that I was happy with, plus I appreciated their efforts. At this point, I was a very happy customer. Then I put the paint up and a week later it was still wiping off with a dry or wet cloth. None of the other paints I've used in my home have done this. And I've been repainting my entire place since I moved into it in Nov. 2007. To date I've used 5 different brands, and the only brand that doesn't stick is the one used. I gave it a week and went back to the store on Saturday. The store rep told me he would get back to me as soon as he connected with the manufacturer's rep because he didn't know what was going on. I went back in the following Friday, because I still hadn't heard from him and spoke to someone else who made me the same promise. That was 3 weeks ago and to date I've heard from no one. Meanwhile, I emailed the manufacturer and I immediately heard back from them with a request for more information to which I quickly responded. And then their rep disappeared. I e-mailed the rep a few days later to confirm whether or not he had received my e-mail with answers to his questions and to date I've received no response. Clearly both the retail outlet, Decorama Paint, and the manufacturer aren't interested in taking care of the customer after the sale. All I wanted was to understand the problem and what my options were at this point. Instead they chose to completely ignore me.
Description of Work: I bought a gallon of interior, low voc, latex paint from this store. The reason I originally went to them is because I believed they were a specific paint shop and they're in my neighborhood. When I got there, the rep told me that they no longer carried a specific paint but that their existing brand was just as good if not better, and they assured me that they could do an exact match.
