Description of Work: I purchased the $25 evaluation and plan deal through Angie's List. Had my consultation on 8/19, the estimate was $3000 and Eric said he would email me later in the week with the final price as well and a rough drawing to submit to my HOA. I did not hear back from him until I called on 9/2, he said he was "working in it now and will email it right over." I did not get the estimate until the next day, it was $1270 more than the original quote and he never did the sketch. When asked for references or pictures of previous work he had none to offer. Eric is a nice guy with good ideas but has poor communication with the client and a lack of professionalism.

Description of Work: I bought the $25 deal for landscaping evaluation and plans. Eric Marlowe met with me in my backyard for about 15 minutes regarding a walkway we would like to install and some drainage issues. He suggested a few things and then left saying he would follow up with an estimate later. | |In the next communication, he stated that they would not be able to help us or give us an estimate. After checking their website, it says estimates are free. | |So I'm not exactly sure what my $25 got me. I could have just called the number on the website for a free estimate. I don't feel like this company provided the service the deal states. It states you'll be getting something that has a $199 value, but if estimates are free, I just don't get how that qualifies. Description of Work: We had our front yard garden beds completely manicured, and the entire back yard re-designed and re-landscaped...including removing most of the old shrubbery and some sod, and laying out a "dry river bed" landscape behind the pool with boulders, river rock, and native plants to match our pool enclosure. Turned out great...Eric was very good about working with us, with the landscape designs, and with making some changes as we went along. His crew worked hard, and cleaned up at the end of each day. The project took a total of about 5 days. They weren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. We're very happy with the results, and would definitely recommend Eric and Marlowe Landscaping.

Description of Work: Removed 2 palm trees and 3 stumps, and trimmed another. Job was done quickly and all debris was hauled away. Eric was a pleasure to deal with. I hope to be able to use him again.

Description of Work: I used Angie's Deal to get the estimate. I paid 25.00 for the estimate. When the contractor come, he handed me his business card. On the back of it, it stated free estimates. I found after talking to him that three of my neighbors had used his company. I am new to the area so did not know this. His work was excellent so used his company despite being upset about the charge for the estimate. The landscaping looks lovely although he did have to come back and redo a section I did not like. He did this with no problem. He is very busy so I did have to wait for 4 weeks from initial contact to get on the schedule. He is very nice and his workers are EXCELLENT. The job site was always very clean and they were very diligent and personable.

Description of Work: Supposed to give me a landscape plan. Paid $25 and all he did was talk through what he would do. Nothing in the form of a diagram or drawing.

Description of Work: Eric the owner was fantastic. Arrived early to establish estimate of work to be done, and was flexible when asked about changing some of the details of the proposed work. On day of job, crew arrived on time, and performed the trimming of one palm tree, some limbs overhanging back fence, and removing a section of maple tree ground root that was starting to break ornamental curbing. Most of he limbs were hauled away. While the work was done as agreed, I would not use this provider in the future only because they had to travel such a long distance to perform the work, and due to the cost of transportation, I would use a provider that was closer. Otherwise they were okay and very helpful.

Description of Work: We needed old yard of purchased home to be removed, trees (pepper trees, potato vines) cut back approximately 50 feet, new sod laid, sprinkler system installed, tiny bit of landscaping in front of house, use him for monthly lawn service. Eric Marlowe was recommended to us - we called him - he was there the next day - bid was submitted in 2 days. He stayed in constant contact on his status and timing for jobs. Started the job 1 week late - with our approval - due to employee illness/baby born. But once they started - it was non-stop until it was done. Last part of cutting the trees/vines back was too thick to do by hand - so a machine was brought in that chewed through and ground stumps REALLY fast and clean. His help was nice and polite and worked very hard. Eric checked in off and on during first part. When the sod was brought in on pallets - Eric and 2 of his other employees laid all the sod! It was great work and the sod was top notch - Grade A. Sprinkler system was installed by Sprinkler Pro (Kit Carson) and that was done also professionally and quickly. Landscaping (palms & small plants) were placed in the front. Only a few, as we didn't want to clog it up too much. Finished the whole job in under 2 weeks - worked everyday on the property until done. Always returned calls quickly and kept in touch.
