Description of Work: The provider was prompt and provided the basic information we were seeking. No services were provided beyond discussion and some quick checks so my questions could be answered. The necessary work could not be done at the time due to the failure of the condo association/management company to do the necessary preliminary work they needed to complete. However, we were happy dealing with Mr. Sparky (and his office). We have every intention of contacting Mr. Sparky to handle the electrical work which is.necessary. We would be happy to update the review when we are able to have the electrical work done, P.S. Do not recall exact date- too much chaos has taken place and records are packed away.

+ -1 moreMr. Sparky came promptly. Could have come earlier if I had been home earlier. Had shoe covers handy. Diagnosed the problem. Had to get up into my attic in mid afternoon in August. Rewired the connection with the 4 wires that it should have had. Great experience with the electrician. Was here less than 2 hours. Only comment would be, on the date of service, getting the answering service both times and having to provide my name and address each time. They did eliminate $79 from the total bill without me asking or complaining about it.
Description of Work: Rewired the connection between a ceiling fan and light switch that had led to the switch to a separate set of lights not to work This was a correction of faulty wiring done by the previous owner.

He was personable and had an air of confidence and know-how that made us feel that our home was in good hands. He completed the work quickly yet with serious attention, and we felt the resulting fee charged was reasonable. He gave us a little extra attention regarding how to care for our property.
Description of Work: Kevin installed GFIs and checked all electrical outlets . He made very useful and critical suggestions regarding electrical safety in our recently acquired home.

Description of Work: You get what you pay for. I paid top dollar, but I got quick and efficient service when other highly rated (but cheaper) Angie's List providers were to busy. I paid $412 to have two ceiling fans installed (junction box already there), $644 to have four recessed lights installed, and $61 dollars to have one dimmer switch installed. Grand total was $1117 for about 6 1/2 hours of work. I did not ask for (I did not receive the Angie's List discount - DUH!).

+ -1 moreI called Mister Sparky this morning after seeing their ad in the August Angie's List Coupon directory. I spoke with Deena who was a real gem. She was able to book an appointment for later in the day and told me Kevin would be the electrician coming. Kevin arrived on time, was professional, and easy to talk with. We liked him immediately. On a number of occasions my husband and I have had repairmen ask if they could borrow our ladder to do the work they were commissioned for. Not Kevin. He used his own ladder and brought a drop-cloth to spread out on the garage floor in order to catch any falling debris from his work. We have never had an electrician we used more than once - this will not be the case with Mister Sparky. We now have someone reliable and honest to call for our future needs. Thank you Angie's List and a big thanks to Kevin.

I told him I just wanted him to tell me what the price would be and he replyed: I see Im' not an Electrician for you,and he just left. I only wanted him to hang a light fixture.This man had an attitude,I would never want him in my house again. He also did some work for my Niece and it was terribly expensive.

He came unprepared, with someone else's truck, missing the tools and supplies he needed, was nasty, reluctant to do the work listed in the promotion, and then spent most of the time telling me he was doing me a big favor and tried to upsell me on a whole new system, when he didn't even successfully fix the existing system. he was terrible and I would NEVER recommend them. I really question why Angie's List would do business with this company as they were AWFUL.

They were very much on time, they kept to their schedule, they were very informative to the work that they're going to do and how much it was going to cost. I didn't have problem having them come to the house as far as appointments were concerned.
Description of Work: Mister Sparky of Pompano Beach did the inspection for the one that I purchased and in addition to that they put an outside plug on my patio.

I felt that their pricing was very fair and they showed a lot of interest in wanting to get my business and to retain my future business. The job was started and completed on schedule and passed all inspections. I was not able to be on-site to manage the process, but I had no concerns because of the follow-up that I received from both Kevin and Deena each day that work was being done. I am happy to recommend their services.
Description of Work: Replace interior and exterior electric panel and sub-panel. Remove exposed wire and create new electrical outlets to bring the utility room up to code.

+ -1 moreMister Sparky of Pompano Beach did a pretty good job. He did what he felt what he had to do. I think I got a bit overcharged. That's my person opinion, but based on what he did and the was there a couple of hours, I thought it was a lot of money, but I didn't argue it, because they did whatever he said. I wasn't going to bargain with him. It was one thing when he came in to do my breaker box. That's what was $99.00 advertised. But everything else started going up, up, up. I wanted it done and I paid for it, that was it. I do have an electrician up here that services us, in our condominium community. I could have used him also, but I did not.
Description of Work: They checked out my breaker box and identify the various breakers. It started out at $99.00, but by the time they finished looking at everything in my apartment, I ended up paying them about $600.00. He changed several of my receptacles, especially in the kitchen. He put in the GFI's, ground fault interceptors.

+ -1 moreThey just did it and they agreed to extend it because I was having problems with my cable provider. That was at my request. There was an additional charge because I upgraded the bracket. It was $20. I upgraded the bracket so that I could tilt the TV in the living room, so I could see it in the kitchen when I was cooking. When they came, the bracket tilted down, if I had known it tilted down, I would have had it mounted higher on the wall. I told them that after they had holes drilled in my wall, I was going to have them redo it and they said that honestly it was the first time they had used this bracket. It is fine and I will get use to it, I would have had it higher. I do not know how much of it is their fault, since it was my choice to upgrade the bracket. They should have known more about the bracket, since they were the ones selling it. The price was great, because it was a big deal. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Mister Sparky of Pompano Beach installed the TV and bracket. They drilled into the wall so I do not have any wires hanging.

+ -1 moreI called a few places to have a Transfer Switch for Generator installed and never received a return call. I saw Mister Sparky in Angie's List catalog and gave them a call. They returned my call immediately and set up an appointment for an estimate and were out the following day. I took their estimate and they filed for a permit right away and the work was done in a weeks time. These people were so very nice from the receptionist to the installer. The work was done in a few hours and everything was cleaned up when he was done. They even sent me a follow-up letter on how to connect the generator and work the box (even though he explained it to me while he was here.) I would highly recommend Mister Sparky for any electrical work that needs to be done.

The owner came when I complained and his response was that the first personae did not have a flash light and hence could not see unsafe electrical outlets and dangling wires properly.

I live in an over 55 community and we have had some problems with break-in’s, so it was very timely when I had it put on. The guy that came out was neat and efficient. He was fast, did the job, adjusted the light and was out of here. I have no complaints with him. I will use him again when there are some more deals with him. I want him to put one on the other side of the house.

They followed up with their calls and the young man, the electrician, was extremely informative explaining expectations and rational for his checks. He was a very pleasant person to have in the house. He covered his shoes as he went in and out of the house which as a nice thought.

+ -1 moreNot so good... the evaluation was ok I guess at that time but later on this year we had some renovation in one of our bathrooms and when the contractor with his own electric technician evaluated the outlets, he encounter several problems on the electrical outlets. So I guess you get what you paid for because we used one of the coupons advertised in Angie's List.
