Bayside Garage Doors

I purchased deal fron Angieslist for garage door reconditioning. He called to make an appointment. He showed up on time, did the reconditioning and replaced all rollers. He also pointed out that I had 2 broken hinges. He gave me a fair price for replacing the hinges I I had him do it. All in all a pleasant experience.

Richie, owner, called to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived in the timeframe that he said he would. Very professional, personable, and helpful. Fixed the door within an hour (it was not going up and down uniformly) and also sprayed the springs. Gave me some tips on keeping the door working well and not rusting, gave me some suggestions about the bottom of the door and the uneveness of the driveway. He was very helpful and I'd use him again in a heartbeat. And, if there is a need- yes, I will look for him first. A keeper.

Of course, the day before I was flying out of town, the cable snapped on my mom's garage door opener. I was looking for someone who could come out ASAP and found Bayside on Anglie's List. Richie came out within a few hours and made the needed repairs. He was very nice and did a good job. I would highly recommend them!

Tehnician arrived on time and provided service with professionalism. Was very knowledgeable.

Richard worked around my schedule to show up at a convenient time. He took out a brand new opener (LiftMaster 3280) from the box in front of me. The installation went smoothly without a hitch. Richard finished the installation work in about half an hour. Also provided same equipment and price guarantee for the third garage door.

On time and very professional

Having my garage door opener repaired was a 5 Star experience. Rich showed me that the rollers the door uses are still good. He demonstrated how he determined the springs were aging, thus requiring extra effort from the opener. I decided to replace the springs now rather than let the loose springs continue to put extra pressure on the opener. Rich of course also repaired the opener. He showed me where to apply silicone spray to the the tracks and hinges so I can keep this old garage door assembly working as long as possible. Rich was clean, polite, and very professional. He made good eye contact with me. My dog wasn't wary of him. I expect to call this company again as needed.

We just spent the $89 Angie’s List big deal. The service went fine. He found some other things that he suggested we do, and when we declined, he did not make an issue of it. I did not actually saw him. I was at work when he came. I cannot comment anything special.

Richie is a very good worker and is very efficient. He replaced the defective roller and did a quick tune up. I only paid for a service call.

Richie made sure that I was happy with his service. He arrived when within the time he said he would. Very good service One year later I call saying that the springs that were replaced were sagging. I called to ask them to tighten up the slack and he told me he could not. I understand that the quality of the springs were substandard and my be the norm in installation. I was not happy with his answer.

He came out the same day I called to give me a quote and scheduled the installation very quickly. Showed up on time, was very professional. I was thoroughly happy with the job he did. We had gotten one other quote for the exact same door, and Bayside's price was slightly less than the competitor's.

I had the $89.00 "Big Deal" to replace the metal rollers on my garage door with the quieter neoprene rollers that they said would make a difference with the noisy garage door. Richie was the tech that came out and I told him that my door was working fine and all I wanted was to replace the rollers. So often these deals are just a way for a company to try to sell you something else once they arrive. Ritchie said that the springs on the garage door weren't the correct size. I told him the springs had been replaced a few years ago and the door seemed to be working fine. He didn't think it was balanced and needed new springs. I reluctantly let him replace the springs and I can't tell any difference in the way the door works. The worst part is that the door isn't any quieter with the neoprene rollers. Even Ritchie couldn't tell the difference in the noise. So to sum it up. My original "Big Deal" for $89.00 to have a quieter garage door, cost me $356.50 and I still have a noisy door that works just the way it did. I hesitated to write this review, but Angie's List sent me several emails and even a phone call to find out how it went. If they don't get accurate reviews, it isn't much benefit to belong to Angie's List so I think it's important to respond.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's list and was contacted by a company representative to schedule an appointment. My schedule didn't allow me to schedule an appointment at that time. Later, I called the company and scheduled an appointment. The technician followed up to confirm the appointment the day before service was scheduled. Richard (the technician) arrived on time and we discussed the problems: garage door made a lot of noise and sort of jiggled as it went up and down. Richard explained that the rollers should be replaced but that probably wouldn't fix the problems. After replacing the rollers, Richard reviewed some options to further improve the operation of the garage doors. We agreed to replace the pulleys at additional fee of $147.50. He installed new pulleys and, Woo Hoo!, the door operations were significantly improved. Richard was very thorough and professional. Excellent job.

We used a special from Angie’s List. They did an excellent job and they did it quickly. Our garage door is so quiet now; we love it. We have two garage doors but we don’t use the other one very often. I wish we had done both the doors at the same time. We’re just waiting for another special. Because we used a special, the price was an A.

The technician was very efficient and knew what he was doing. He replaced all the door rollers, lubed the trolley rail, adjusted the chain tension, checked for chain drive gear wear, replaced the springs, lubed the new springs and replaced the bottom door seal .
