When you do a maintenance, they will not let you just go for a maintenance. So you need this, you need that and they said I needed rollers. I don't know how rollers wear out because they're little. He charged me I think $60 something to that. So far, the garage door is working so it's a good job for me no matter what they did. They were quick.

They came out and lubed the door and adjusted it as they were supposed to. They were honest about the condition of the door and the springs but i can't do them now. When i need them again i will call them back. the installation of my new garage door opener was the best idea yet. great job!

We originally purchased an Angie's Big Deal for a garage door tune up for $39, hoping that a tune up would correct a loud squeal when the door opened and closed. As it turned out, the bearings were very worn and needed to be replaced. Oh well, not really a surprise... Richie from Bayside contacted us the next day by both e-mail and phone. Service was scheduled within two days. Richie and his assistant were at our house as promised (even a few minutes early!) to look at the door. They inspected the door and explained what they found and how to correct this issue. They had all needed materials on the truck and got right to work. The job was completed within an hour. The door works beautifully, the noise is gone and we're very pleased with the result. We found Richie to be professional, polite and respectful from our initial contact through the time they left our house. We highly recommend Bayside Garage Doors and will definitely use them in the future.

I purchased a house and the garage door was very loud and rattled. Bayside arrived as scheduled. They surveyed the door and identified the 15 year old rollers as the cause of the noise and problem. They replaced the old flattened metal rollers, with current technology rollers. The door now operates much more smoothly and quieter. They warned me that the spring will need replacement, but did not pressure me to replace it, which I felt was a positive. I hate service companies that use Angies list and its deals to up-sell other services. They cleaned and lubricated the track. They identified the correct lubricant that I would need to use and provided instructions for correct preventive maintenance. They adjusted the motor to lessen strain on the opening unit. They also helped me program my car's built-in opener to the unit's rolling code without an additional charge. They were pleasant and not "pushy".

Excellent. Showed up right on time and worked quickly. Garage went from sounding like a terrible car wreck when it opened to nearly silent. The price seemed a LITTLE high, but within reason.

Fantastic. Came out to give me an estimate. Price was exactly what we talked about on the phone. Prompt, professional and very reasonably priced. Thoroughly explained options upfront and then explained how to use and maintain everything when complete. You can't go wrong using Richie!

Process went quite well. Technician was on-time, courteous, and and informative. Provided good explanation of why I was having issues with the opener and recommended several options. I did not feel pressured to move forward with the service at all. Outcome was outstanding.

I found Rich on Angie's list based on the great reviews. I had a spring break and ordered through Angie's List a special for $165 spring replacement. It turns out I needed two springs and he explained the difference in price. He also pointed out that I needed some new bearings and showed me how noisy they are and that they grind. While he was here I asked for a tune-up and got nylon rollers installed. I ended paying more money, however not once did I feel Rich was taking any advantage. He was open about the options and pricing up front. My garage door is 19 1/2 years old and this was my first ever repair or tune-up. I expected some things needed to be upgraded. After all the repairs the garage door is also so much quieter. I didn't realize how loud it was. I still have my original 19 year garage door opener. I will definitely call Rich back whenever it goes out. Also, I ordered this yesterday and he was out the next day. I highly recommend this company!!! Thanks Rich!!! Greg

When my garage door opener made a horrific noise and quit after 5 PM, I was stuck. I found Bayside based on reviews here on Angie's List, and made a quick call. I was happy to get an appointment for the next morning - since it wasn't an emergency, next morning worked fine for me! Prior to arriving, I received a confirmation phone call which I always appreciate. It was nice to get a narrower timeframe for arrival. The repairs needed were thoroughly explained to me, and I was even shown the damaged parts in comparison to a new part to help me understand the issue. Once the repairs were done, the door, tracks and wheels were all lubricated and checked. He even was nice enough to switch out a light bulb in the opener for me so I didn't have to climb a ladder myself later. Start to finish, the whole thing took about an hour and that was with me asking lots of questions. I am pleased with the work that was done, feel like the price was fair, and would definitely call Bayside again for repairs and maintenance.

The "big deal' garage door tune up ended up leaving a grease streak on my garage door from over lubrication. My door now needs a new spring, and I am not sure the "broke" item needed to be replaced.

I bought the special deal on Sunday and he called on Monday to see if the work could be done that afternoon. I said yes and he showed up within 1 hour. I asked him to replace the roller bearings on the large door because it was getting noisy and also our recent house painters pointed out that the bottom weather strip on both doors was showing great wear, so I asked him to replace those. During the course of the tune-ups, Richie showed me how to lubricate all the moving parts and what kind of lubricants to use. The cost shown includes what I had already paid to Angie's List for the special deal.

I arrived home and the garage door would not go up. I searched Angie's List and decided to contact Bayside Garage Doors. Richie called the next morning and we quickly discovered that my schedule and his were pretty hectic. He was totally booked for several days. I decided, however, to wait it out. You will like this guy! He works quickly and efficiently. He is punctual. He is an excellent communicator.

Initially we were pleased with how informative he was; he did the work quickly and then was gone. However, after he programmed the garage doors, the garage door would randomly open and shut. We had to unplug the garage door in order to get it to stop. When we called, he said "I told you you were going to need a new door and it was just a coincidence that this happened right after I was there." He would not come back out to our place and all he offered was the price of his service off of a new garage door, which we had already told him we could not afford.

I had an excellent experience with Richie. He called me with minutes of sending him a request thru Angie's list. He was great at explaining the different options that were available. When he arrived at my home, he was pleasant and great communicator. He did an excellent job at installing the new openers, even though one was in a tricky location. He thoroughly explained how to use all the equipment and also gave me some tips for how to maintain my doors. He was quick and clean. I would highly recommend him.

They were quite fine. They came fast, did well and they did what they promised. I'm happy with the service I got. I thought the company was prompt. They did the job in one day. They charged me what they said would charge me and I didn't have any issues with the service. They did a very good job. I would use them again.

Great experience with this vendor. I called them early in the a.m. as my garage door would not open when I returned home the evening before. Left a message and they called me back shortly after. Within a short time, Richard arrived and showed me where the spring had broken. He replaced the springs and also ensured that the rollers and hinges were working well. Oiled them too! While he was here I asked about a wireless key pad for my garage door opener. He had my brand in stock on his truck and the price was better then the quote I received from the person who installed my opener. Richard installed it and of the work was done within 45 minutes of his arrival. Door works well now and I'm very pleased. I will use them again should I have a need!

Went great. Had part on truck. Checked out everything else on unit and tracks and said it was okay - didn't try to sell me service I didn't need. I would highly recommend this guy.

One tension spring broke late Sunday afternoon. Called Bayside and left message. Company rep called back by 10am Monday and service rep. Richie arrived at my home by 12:30pm. Fast and efficient - everything completed and tested before 2pm. Totally satisfied with both price and service.

Richie was very professional, timely, neat and on time. Everything went smoothly and was fairly priced. I would highly recommend him for any install or repair.
