Do to recent flood damage because of Tropical Storm Deby, I need the insulation underneath my double wide mobile home removed and replaced with bottom board insulation. I called this company and spoke with a salesman named Tom. I was immediately irritated with the fact that it seemed like, while we would hold our conversation, it was very hard for me to get a word in edgewise, he kept talking over me. I finally got it across to him that I needed an estimate for FEMA to have my existing, falling out and wet, moldy insulation removed from under my mobile home and replaced with bottom board insulation because that is what the FEMA report stated I needed. Tom convinced me that I needed the more expensive foam insulation sprayed in and was very prompt to come out that same day to do a measurement for an estimate. While here, he complained to my boyfriend that it was an awful mess to have to remove the existing, damaged insulation and felt bad for his workers to make them have to so that part of the job. After he left, he called and told me he would try and get the estimate to me by Monday morning and he also told me he would coordinate the job with my A/C man since I was also having a new heat pump installed with new duct work. Monday morning I received a prompt email from Tom that only covered installing the spray foam insulation but he made a note that he was still trying to figure the removal of the existing, damaged insulation. I called him explaining that I can not submit a 2 part estimate to FEMA that it all had to be on one estimate. He responded that he doesn't think his guys will want to do the removal part, I said than let's just forget it. I asked you in the beginning if you would do the whole job and you said yes and now I am hearing otherwise. He quickly said "okay" and hung up the phone. I called the main office and asked for Tom's supervisor and was redirected to Eric. I told Eric what happened and that Tom had been complaining from the beginning that he felt sorry for who ever had to remove the damaged insulation even though he said his company would do it. I told him he lost my business because Tom didn't follow through with the estimate he promised and then was thrilled when I told him to just forget it. Eric said he has spoke with Tom about my estimate and they didn't feel they wanted to get "involved" with the removal part of the job.
