Description of Work: One of the best things about Angies list is that it allows you to print an update -- in my case, a retraction. So here goes: Not long after i left a lengthy, unhappy (and in hindsight perhaps unwarranted) account of a recent experience at this animal hospital, I received a very gracious letter from one of the principal doctors addressing the concerns that I raised in my review. This doctor, for whom I have the utmost respect (and who has successfully treated several of my cats over the years) spoke to each point that I had made in the review. In times of medical emergencies, it is always difficult to know the proper course of action, and when multiple credible medical professionals express somewhat different treatment views, it is not always easy to know what is best, My cat, Delilah, has recovered fully from dining on a plastic grocery bag so the treatment she received was obviously appropriate for the circumstances. As for my concerns over fees, the old adage "you get what you pay for" was certainly true here. Delilah recovered, so the services provided were the right services. And even the flea situation is calming with the help of widely available anti-flea products. Many animals visit the Hollywood Animal Hospital on a daily basis, and undoubtedly most, but unfortunately not all, are flea free when they come thru the door. This would be true of most vet hospitals, especially here in S. Florida. As luck would have it, I had to eat my words about not using this facility again (and was glad to do so)! Today, another of my cats came to the Hospital with a worsening upper respiratory infection. (Yes, I knew I could trust them with the health of my beloved friend.) The doctor presented various treatment options, made suggestions, treated my cat according to my directions, and was totally helpful and professional thoughout the process. And when I arrived back home , there was that thoughtful letter from the principal doctor, waiting for me in the mail. Great timing

Description of Work: I took my animals to Hollywood Animal Hospital for a check-up and shots.

Description of Work: Sedation/tranquilizers for our car trip from Florida to Virginia. The staff was nice to my cat and I. I was very upset because of previous car trips (like most cats he doesn't travel well). The assistant and vet were sympathetic to me and reversed some of the sedation when I got frightened by seeing my cat completely limp and eyes open. They were very nice and the trip proved to be uneventful for once!
