We at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital want our clients and staff members to know it is our priority to provide the finest Veterinary care to our patients and it is our goal to assure that their owners are well informed and comfortable with the decisions made regarding their pets care. VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital started out as a small family run hospital in 1947. As we know today it is still partially family run, but has grown quite a bit over the past sixty years to accommodate the growing pet community. This ever growing animal hospital strives to offer clients the best state of the art technology and specialty veterinary care that the county has available. Our staff members are dedicated to the care of animals and they are willing to do whatever is necessary to make a client comfortable with the quality of care their pet will receive while they are here.

Description of Work: They are very good. Open 24/7 for emergencies. They have good doctors there. The founders of the hospital are excellent specialists and I have had to use them on a number of my dogs.

Description of Work: My dog had been having eye problems for several days. Had seen vets in Miami, but late on a Saturday, she got worse. Went to 24 hour vet in South Miami, but was recommended that we see a specialist. We drove to Hollywood where Dr. Swinger met us. After trying to relieve eye pressure for her for several days and conferring with our primary care vet in South Miami, the eye was removed. Dr Swinger and his staff were very patient about explaining the situation, calling and returning calls. Very accessible and professional. Kept us well informed. The problem was a tumor. But she is well now, happy and has even been able to resume agility training...weave poles and jumps, no problems. We had a horrible, scary time, but so glad that we found Dr Swinger and his group that Saturday night.

Description of Work: I used Dr Swinger the eye specialist for my aging cat. He is compassionate and was spot on with his diagnosis and treatment of the feline. His assistant was just okay, a little dismissive. I Highly recommend Dr Swinger.

Description of Work: We have a puppy, who at 4 months of age, ingested something that caused a severe reaction to the point where she literally struggled into our bedroom and fell over. The only 24 hour Animal Hospital was this one and we rushed her there immediately. The doctor saw her immediately and was thorough, carrying, and professional. She stayed under their care for 36 hours and is today a happy, flourishing 7 month old in perfect health. They saved her life.

Description of Work: Fixed a 1 month post op complication that Coral Springs animal hospital couldn't fix. instead of running endless expensive tests they assumed his prob was a surgically related abscess and gave my cat antibiotics.
