I called them when oven light wouldn't turn off and oven wasn't heating up. Scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. Serviceman was courteous and knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem. They had to order a new oven latch and called to schedule as soon as it came in. Again, they made it convenient for my schedule and were prompt, courteous and professional. Diagnosis was correct and the oven is now working.

I called the office and they were very knowledgeable. They sent a technician out and they diagnosed the problem. It was a factory ordered part that I needed and the factory sent it to AAA Century Appliance. AAA was able to install the part once it arrived. I was very impressed by the professionalism of this company. When I called their office yesterday to schedule an appointment for the service call, the lady who answered (Missy, I believe) was well-spoken, very polite and clear about their charges up front. She set up a service appointment window for the following day and said the technician would confirm his ETA 30 minutes prior to arrival. As promised, Washington, the technician, contacted us about 30 minutes before arriving within the appointment window. Since my girlfriend works closer to home, she met him when he arrived. Washington worked efficiently but still made sure to explain and show her how he diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be a leak in the evaporator coil. She asked him to speak with me on the phone while I was still driving home and he offered me possible solutions and estimated costs. He was extremely professional and polite and I enjoyed meeting him in person just before he left. Since my refrigerator is over 11 years old, I decided to just replace it instead of sinking more money into it, but I feel Washington gave me pretty fair estimates considering the costs of parts, labor, and freon. I would not hesitate to call this company again in the future.

Washington called stated he'd be at my house in about 20-25 minutes. He came within the agreed time period, was very personable and professional. He listened to me explain what was wrong with the washer. It took him literally seconds to make the diagnosis and just a few minutes to fix the problem. Washington gave me the price after he made the diagnosis and stated right up front that he was honoring the discount that his company was offering at this time. I gave him the go ahead to fix the problem. He made sure that machine was functioning before he left.

I was concerned about ice forming on the inside of my freezer door and on the top inside of my freezer. He told me the gasket was really in good shape and did not need replacing however he used a dryer to soften it a bit he puled it out a bit and told me to put a tiny bit of vasaline on the metal around the freezer. He was excellent and I would call them again in a heartbeat.

The phone person was great. She took the information and made an appointment for a few hours ahead on the same day. Kevin came out (after calling to let me know he was on his way) diagnosed the problem and ordered a new part (fan motor). He came back when the part came in an installed it. Terrific service. Kevin answered all my questions and explained what was wrong and what needed to be replaced and how he was going to do it.

Washington is a gentleman. Neat ,tidy and courteous. I have used this company a few times in the past for washing machine and tumble dryer repairs, and every time they have been very good. On time , quick and very nice employees.
Description of Work: The freezer died on my Maytag French door freezer. Washington came out and determined that the mother board had failed, told me he would order the part , but in the meantime defrosted the coils and said I may be lucky and the freezer would work until he came back. When he came back with the part in hand , he asked me how things had gone. When I told him I had no joy with the freezer he looked again and saw no frost on the coils. At this point he told me that it was not the motherboard but probably the sealed system, and that this would be under warranty. He then found all the information I needed to call Maytag and schedule the required repair.

Called them after deciding to go with an LG authorized service center. Waste of time. 1) Called about clothes not drying. They show up and clean the lint out of machine and tell us this should work. 2) Did not work. Called again the following day (Saturday), can't fix until Monday. Two more days with washing/drying. 3) Meanwhile, learn from tenant at my property and the service tech that we were told only to use "certain settings" because regular clothes (cotton, permanent press) will not work (W**?) 4) Allow me to mimic excuses: "But it was heating." "Try loading less clothes." Try loaading more clothes. "Yeah, machine has bad design." "Your husband was there, he watched us clean it, so he is responsible." "Try running several cycles." (After three 40 minute drying cycles were already run, which was explained.) By the way, I might have been more forgiving has this been only the service tech, but the service manager regurgitared same line of excuses, cut me off repeatedly over the phone when I would not listen to same excuses, and said "we can try again and if it doesn't work you can call someone else." Zero accountability, even less consideration for people's time. Washington, the "Technical Manager" could care less about the repeat service calls and clearly did not have knowledge or competency to offer any additional troubleshooting or repair solutions. "let's try and see what happens" is not what I call a professional. Restoring to original working condition on a three year old machine is a perfectly sound expectation. Calling LG to let them know their service center is blaming their machine's sensors/design for their inability to fix. By the way, there is nobody to escalate this to beyond the tech's supervisor, as I would not even call them a manager. Call someone else and avoid this company.

Thank you [Member Name Removed], for your review and the opportunity to reflect on our procedures in order to improve our services. We have taken much consideration of your review and although we make every effort to ensure our clients have a positive experience, unfortunately sometimes we are faced with unusual circumstances during service which may prevent this. Before moving forward, I would like to identify myself as Washington, the Technical Manager at AAA Century Appliance. I am also the gentleman who spoke to you on the phone and who made the final decision to refund you for the service our technician provided. On June 05th. 2015 (the date of service this review is referencing to) you contacted our offices because you were concerned that the dryer at your tenant's residence was not heating . While setting your appointment you stated you wanted that the technician bring the "heating element" with him because you were confident that it was the source of the issue, and you did not want to waste time. Although we always recommend that a professional technician diagnose the problem 1st, we also understand a client's desire to complete a repair on a 1st visit, whenever possible, so we made sure the technician had the element on hand. On arrival, our technician was greeted by a gentleman who identified himself as the owner of the property,[Member Name Removed]. He accompanied the technician to the appliance and was present during the entire diagnosis and service. The technician tested the unit and found the heating element was working correctly, as well as all other components he tested, such as thermostats, etc. He did discover, however, constricted "air flow" which would prevent the the clothing from drying completely during cycles. The technician observed a large amount of lint and debris inside the dryer, around the unit, as well as in the vent hose leading from the dryer into the wall. The technician also showed [Member Name Removed] where the vent hose was crushed and did not seal correctly to the appliance (which explained the excess of lint on the inside and outside of the unit) The technician explained the importance of the air flow and gave the recommendation to have the vent hose replaced and to have the dryer duct vents professionally cleaned. The dryer air vent begins at the wall where the vent hose is connected and leads through the wall to the exterior of the residence (in some cases to the roof) Our company does not provided duct vent cleaning services as we service and repair the appliance only. After the diagnosis and recommendation, [Member Name Removed] advised the technician that there was a "burn smell" that came from within the unit while in use that the tenant was concerned about. The technician informed him that this was also due to the excess lint inside the unit. He explained that he would be able to take the dryer apart and clean it thoroughly but that a professional duct vent cleaning company would still be needed for the restricted air flow problem within the walls. [Member Name Removed] stated that he would arrange to replace the crushed vent hose himself and hire a professional company to clean the duct vent in the wall, but that he would like an estimate from our technician to clean out the machine to remove the lint, burn smell, and potential fire hazard (combustible material around an active motor). He then approved the estimate and requested the work to be done. The technician took the dryer apart and cleaned both the interior and exterior of the dryer and then reassembled the dryer. Afterwards, he tested the unit to make sure all the components were still working correctly. Finally, [Member Name Removed] expressed he was happy with the service, he signed the invoice stating everything was completed to his satisfaction, and he paid the technician. Shortly thereafter, you contacted our offices concerned that your tenant was experiencing the exact same drying issues (although the burn smell was gone). You spoke to Ms. Jenkins, the Administrative Supervisor, to whom you stated that you were extremely disappointed with the technician and our services. You stated to her that our technician was extremely rude when speaking to your "tenant" and that he did not repair the appliance correctly. Concerned, Ms. Jenkins contacted me and we both reviewed the technician's report from the previous day. It clearly stated he communicated only with your husband, [Member Name Removed], who was present and aware of the diagnosis and recommendation. After speaking to the technician, I also felt confident there was perhaps a simple miscommunication that occurred and immediately called you to review our service. During our conversation, you conceded that [Member Name Removed] was indeed present at the time of service and was the only person who communicated directly with the technician. You also stated that [Member Name Removed] was "not an authority" to make any decisions regarding the dryer and that you (the person who hired our company) expected the dryer to be fixed, not cleaned. This unusual development placed us in a rare and difficult position because your husband, [Member Name Removed], identified himself as the owner of the property to the technician, he accompanied the technician to the location of the dryer and was present throughout the service. [Member Name Removed] noted the recommendation and diagnosis of having the duct vents cleaned and the vent hose replaced. He also requested an estimate and approved the technician to perform the cleaning. [Member Name Removed] also signed the invoice and paid the technician. Based on all of these factors, it was difficult for me to find fault with the technician's performance or the service he provided? As we continued to communicate, your tone and vocabulary became increasingly escalated and offensive. When you repeatedly requested that I "just send another technician" to fix the problem, I realized that we would not be able to reasonably offer a solution that would appease you. Please note [Member Name Removed], we do not usually approve a full refund for services that are requested by a client and completed correctly, however, this was an exception and perhaps the best option to resolve the matter as professionally as possible. Our company staff members, both in the administrative offices as well as our technicians who work tirelessly in the field, make every effort to provide professional, honest, and polite service to our clients. Once in a great while we may fall short of the expectations of certain clients, but we will continue to learn from our experiences and hope to improve in all areas when faced with adverse situations, when they arise. The technician Kevin was very professional and efficient. I was also impressed with the online appointment process. I was able to get a same day appointment and they called just before arrival. I like the 19.99 initial charge and also got an Angie's List discount. Very honest as well, as it turns out my washing machine stop spinning because of a small button sized battery got jamed in the drums. He pulled it out and it was fixed. Great work ethic!

My washing machine had a multitude of problems the last few years. I just dealt with them until a few weeks ago the washer kept leaving the clothes dripping wet. I decided the washer was ten years old and had a lot of problems and that I should just buy a new one. Spent a week shopping and on the internet and could not find one that would fit in the space (in a condo). Found AAA Century Appliance on Angie's List and requested an appointment online. It was Friday afternoon so I requested an appointment for the next week. A very pleasant lady called me back, took my information and offered an appointment for the next morning! On a Saturday! Very happy. Washington called half an hour before the scheduled appointment time to let me know he was on the way. He was very professional and spent a lot of time troubleshooting the washer. He was able to isolate the source of all the trouble. He replaced the drain pump assembly - he had one in his truck - and now the washer works like new. I informed Washington that he's a genius and shook his hand. 100% happy with the transaction and would definitely call them again when something breaks.

A Mr. Washington came to repair it on a Sunday afternoon. No sooner had I called Sunday morning than did I get a return phone call setting up the repair. Mr. Washington was polite, well mannered, professional, totally competent and repaired the refrigerator within a half hour. He cleaned behind the fridge he noticed a problem with the cord connection and adjusted that as well. I was not only pleased but very impressed with the way they do business and the employees that they must have.

The technician arrived as scheduled and was very courteous. He spun the basket in the washer and advised me that the bearings were gone, the front motor would need to be replaced, and there was a good chance the basket was warped and would need to be replaced. He told me it would be a four hour job for one technician, or a two and a half hour job if he brought another guy to assist because it was a big job. He gave me a written estimate of $ 525.00 plus tax which included parts and labor. He said to call the office to set it up so they could order the parts. I told him I would think it over and call after the weekend. I had pretty much decided to call AAA Century and set the appointment and for some reason as a last ditch effort I went online and went on LG's website to get a price on a new replacement washer since it was going to be an expensive repair. Being that my washer was purchased in 2007 they no longer had that model available. I called the customer service number provided on the site to inquire about a new model that was similar to the one I had. The LG customer service representative asked if I would like an LG technician to come out and repair my washer. I asked what they charged to come out and provide an estimate and to she advised that it would be a flat rate of $200.00 plus tax. I was a little surprised it would cost so much for an estimate but she went on to explain that it was a flat rate which covered diagnosing the problem, covering all parts needed to be replaced, and cover all labor needed. I thought I didn't hear her correctly and had to have her repeat it again. She went on to explain that all LG appliances, if the year warranty has expired, are a flat rate to repair. The LG technician came to my residence, opened up the machine and advised that all parts that were mentioned previously needed to be replaced, and some additional parts also due to the machine leaking. He said he could return in a couple of days to do the job that would take him about two hours. The LG technician returned as promised and removed the entire inside of the machine leaving only the outer shell. He replace every piece of equipment with brand new parts and completed the job by himself in two hours. He ran a diagnostics check on the machine after completion and it was like the day I purchased it. The only part left from my old machine was the outside case. He handed me the bill and it was as promised, $200.00 plus tax. I wish I had all LG appliances knowing what I know now. I usually don't write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled. I'm don't know what kind of service AAA Century provides because I didn't hire them to do the job, but knowing that they provide LG repair service I have to think they are aware of LG's policy when it comes to there products. Like I said, maybe they do outstanding work, and its just my opinion based on my experience with this company, but I felt this was to put it in my kids words, "Shady" business practices. I'm just glad I didn't get taken for an additional $344.50 by them.
Description of Work: I had this company come to my residence to diagnose a problem I was having with my LG front loader washing machine. It was 19.99 for the service call which would be deducted from the estimate if I chose to use them for the repairs, which I thought was more than reasonable.

Kevin called 20 minutes ahead of time and arrived ready to work. He listened to my idea as to what had happened, and then explained the possibility of what was wrong. He took his time to listen to the oven(never occurred to me)as he worked his way through the buttons. He finally figured it out, and showed me the problem so it wouldn't happen again. Very satisfied with the rapid response and professionalism shown at every level of this experience, from the very nice and friendly Joselle(not sure if I spelled that right),at AAA who answered the phone and scheduled the job, to Kevin. He could easily have told me the motor was bad and been like so many unscrupulous and dishonest people in the appliance-repair trade. THIS IS WHY I USE ANGIES LIST!!!!

Very professional from start to finish. Called for appointment and the representative made the appointment and clearly explained how they did business and what i could expect. She gave me a service window time and the name of the technician that would be coming and said he would call about 20 minutes before he arrived. On the day of the appointment the technician called as promised and arrived within the promised window. He quickly diagnosed the problem gave me a fixed price and then made the repair. A very good experience and I would definitely use them again.

I called for the $19.99 special. But, they had a ton of calls, and dropped the ball and did not call me back. I had to call them. The lady on the phone was awesome, and understanding and waived the fee because of the issue, and promised I would still get $15.00 off any service I had to pay for. Kevin was the technician. He was polite and professional. He called 30 minutes before getting here, and said he would be on his way. He did this both times. He is young, polite, professional. Very Nice. He explained what was wrong, after looking into it. Said we have to order the part, explained the process, and told me I could have some time with the written quote to compare with others. I decided to just let them do the repair at this point. They took $100 deposit to order the part (on Credit Card). He swiped the card right there, so no paper copy of my card is floating around. Today, he showed up, and did the install. During the process he noted that the drainage piece had frozen over because of this issue, and did a quick clean out of it. Showing me where it was at in case I ran into the problem in the future. WOW. Probably the BEST customer service in South Florida I have had. I have been here since 1992, so that says a lot. I will call them again. Kevin mentioned he had been with the company for only 2 years, but the company has been around for a while. I must say they did everything right, and the people were pleasant and nice to deal with every step of the way. When I call in the future, I will certainly ask for Kevin.

I had used this company prior and had an outstanding experience. My washer broke yesterday, I put in a service request via the computer, after hours, received a phone call first thing this morning and a technician was in my home within 3 hours. The issue was diagnosed, unfortunately it could not be repaired because the part is discontinued (computer part).
