Extremley porr service and products. Contract called for gradular fertilized at initial service and then during the year based on month of year. Only had grandular appied 1 time 4 months after they started. Have dead spots that have been there for 11 months. Today was told that they no longer use grandular but instead the use some sort of liquid fertilizer which from exrepience does not work. My advice is DO NOT CALL them, and look how they dropped down in rating, it tells the story in it self.

The company looked competent at first, but in practice, does a poor job, doesn't stand behind its service, doesn't respond to customer communications and acts unethically. Their lawn treatments were not effective. The sales person came out twice, made a raft of excuses and some retreatments were made, but the advertised results were never achieved. I made written and phone requests to meet a senior manager or owner to resolve the problems, but never received any communication in return. I withheld payment, re-stating the issues, and again asked for an escalated contact. The company ignored me again. Then I discovered they filed a lien on my house without warning! When I called to discuss the lien, I was blocked by a collection person who was unknowledgable and unwilling to help resolve the core problems of the service. I negotiated a pay-off to be rid of this horrible company and experience. How company's act are the proof of their culture and ethics. Ignoring customers, giving bad service and then using the contract to force payment via a lien is old school, heavy handed bad business. Thank goodness for Angie's List, so now everyone can read how this company operates and steer clear.

They were on time, explained everything there were going to do and the plan going forward. Very courteous and professional. Price was right on target too. Customer service dept is very responsive. Decided to keep them for our month to month pest control.

Once the estimate was accepted, the actual termite specialist came out to treat our media cabinet. He fully unloaded it for us, treated the wood, cleaned up after himself, and then reloaded our cabinet! I was so impressed with his attitude and professionalism; he even showed me up close the 'larvae' that were creating the termites and how they had eaten part of the wood. SO gross, but at least I know what to look for and exactly what they look like while trying to swarm! I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat, although I hope I won't have to... To that end, they offered a guarantee that they would come out to re-treat for free if we saw them again next spring. GREAT company!

They've been very nice. They are very professional, I'm very happy, there are no bugs.

We had ticks and fleas in our house and yard that spread from a neighbor's home. Our dogs have never had fleas or ticks before but got them. They've come out 3 times now and they've bombed the house twice. They are coming every month to spray our yard to help protect our dogs and the dogs walking by. The employees are very clean and do great work. I had a poor experience with Fleabusters in the past and I'm very happy we've found Al Hoffer's.

They were good. They were not the cheapest, but I found them to be very reliable following up. I would use them again.

07/31/2013 was a message and sending out a person to look at our lawn, for the quote contract Very professional, and like the technician for Al Hoffer's Lawn care, and pest control. They will fertilize and spray when needed, and if we have trouble in the house, they will come out and take care of the pests. Right now we are doing the outside of the house, every two months and we do like the company.

Effectiveness, punctuality, quality of service is second to none in this industry ... we have used their services for years and have had no problems whatsoever ... highly recommended.

Wants minimum of $250 to treat ants plus $50 PER bush. I found someone more reasonable.

I am very pleased with the service. They do good work. They guy is pleasant. He always rings the bell and tells me he is here. They always call before arriving as well.

The company came out and gave us a written estimate at an arranged time. They arrived on time and promptly responded. The work was scheduled within a few days and the service was done at the scheduled time. We were told if we saw any indication of further activity by the termites, to give them a call and they would be happy to come out and spot treat. We were offered an annual recheck and treatment at a reasonable price.

The previous problem has been solved! A technician is coming out today!

The thing I want to say most about Al Hoffer's services is they are completely HONEST. Their representative, Bob, came out to do a termite evaluation on one of my properties in Hollywood. After the evaluation, he found that the termite problem was just in one of the doors and if the door was replaced the termite problem would end. Bob could have charged me a large amount of money for a service that wasn't really needed. However, he put the customers needs first and saved me a whole lot of money. Overall, the experience was pleasant enough. The employee showed up on time and as scheduled. We completed a walk through of the property and talked about what needed attention. I decided not to go with the company due to price and lack of flexibility on services involved with price.

They have been great. I have used them for years. They are very reliable.

I have had them for over 2 years and would not be without them. Our ficus hedges and lawn was infested with white flies and grubs and nearly dead. Ants crawled all over the house exterior and then got inside as well. The technician comes and sprays as needed and the only evidence that he has been there is a small sign in the grass. Our hedges, gardens and lawns are vibrant and green and look beautiful. There is no evidence of ants on the exterior walls and windows and we never get an ant inside the house either. They obviously know what they are doing and are very satisfied with the results. Would recomment highly, especially when we see that most of the neighbors have hedges dying of white fly infestation. The technician is really knowledgeable and very pleasant and polite.

They did not maintain my property the way I was paying them to. I had white fly all of my palm trees. We had a wasp problem that they sprayed for, but never got rid of the mud pies, so more wasps continued to come back. We had to come out four times to get rid of an ant problem. I was not impressed with them. We came back from 4 months in Chicago and we had bee's nests, wasp's nests, white fly among other issues.

So far the service is great. The service man is very nice and great overall.

In late August, 2012, we saw signs of what we suspected might be termite activity in our home, so we decided to join Angie's List in order to find a competent inspection/extermination service. Based upon Angie's List Super Service Award and many positive customer reviews, we called Al Hoffer's Termite * Lawn * Pest Service. In less than two hours, Bob, the inspector was at our door. After a thorough inspection, both inside and out, Bob verified that we had dry wood termite activity and proposed a treatment plan at a reasonable price which included a $40 off coupon for Angie's List members. (We were relieved to hear that treatment would involve spraying, not tenting.) We accepted the proposal, and service was scheduled for a few days later. Bobby (Bob's son) arrived on time to perform the treatment and did an excellent job in a very professional manner. It was clearly explained that follow up treatment may be necessary but there would be no additional cost to us. A few weeks later, we did see minor signs of activity. We called Al Hoffer's and Bobby arrived shortly thereafter to do a follow up treatment. As of Feb. 2013, we have not seen any more signs of dry wood termite activity. A job well done by Al Hoffer's. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Although we certainly hope that we do not need their services again for termites, we will call them if we do. The $40 off coupon more than paid for our Angie's List membership... :-)
