Precision Overhead Garage Door

Precision Overhead Garage Doors was right on time and they communicated well. They were very courteous. So far the quality is good. I would use them again if I needed someone.

Keith met me at my rental property on time and was very friendly and informative. He quickly diagnosed the underlying issue that caused one of the torsion coils to break - that being an incorrect coil that was placed by a previous repair company years back. Keith worked quickly but safely. The total job took approximitely 40 minutes. Although Keith notified me that my rollers could use a changeout, he didn't press the matter at all. All in all, I was very pleased with this service and I highly recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door.

The service technician, John T. was excellent. He explained everything clearly and performed the work in a careful, methodical manner. I am very satisfied with my experience and will certainly use this company again, if necessary. The Angie's List discount coupon was a real bonus!

The repairman was prompt and did the repair without a problem. He advised us of possible future issues since our double garage door is heavy and is used everyday several times a day. We actually experienced another problem a few weeks later and had Precision Garage door come out again to do the repair.

The installer tried to sell me new rollers but I guess that is part of the reason for the good price.

ugh to The young man was very professional. He discussed with me that my door was quite old and the advertised price would have covered either the door seal, or replacement of all the rollers. I didn't think I needed to replace the rollers, so he just removed the old door seal and installed the new seal. He adjusted the operating mechanism to be sure that the door closed tightly enough so rodents could enter my garage. He cleaned up all the litter when hr finished. He then oiled all the rollers and hinges. I would use Precision's service again whenever I have trouble with my garage door.

The new one did not respond very well to the remote opener. Called Percision, technician came back and installed a remote receiver which solved the problem. I highly recommend Precision. Very professional, and the technician not only installed the new opener, but spent time realigning the door, lubing the rollers, and generally insuring everything worked right.

Everything went fine, the installer was great; young, smart, personable guy. The work was simple to do, and well done, and I used a "Big Deal", so I saved a little. This should keep the grass snakes out of my garage now....

I paid under protest. After thinking about it for a couple of hours, I tried to contact the company, which proved difficult. I then placed some complaints on several internet sites, and finally figured out how to contact the main office, and they were good enough to refund the entire invoice amount. It is hard to rate the price and professionalism categories -- the work was done in a workmanlike manner, and I would have been happy to pay a reasonable amount for it. But at least the owner went beyond fairness by refunding the entire cost.

First tech couldn't perform the service because I have a commercial style garage door. The owner of Precision immediatly called and rescheduled the appointment. The next tech was very thorough; replaced rollers and my garage door is much quiter now!

They came out to put a new rubber seal on my garage door and tune up the door. The technician noticed that the wheels on my garage were getting old and making a lot of noise. I went ahead and had the wheels changed and it was only $100 to have the service done. My garage door is so quiet now and I am so happy with their service

I had problems with the door last night. After a review of Angie's List I contacted Precision last night around 8:30 pm and they were able to get an appointment today. They gave me a 4-hour window and the tech called to let me know when he was close. Ben was professional and gave me a quote for my original request, then other options to improve the overall system. Since the door and all parts were 11 years old, I went with one of the other options that included more repairs than just the springs to prevent potential future problems. It comes with a 5-year warranty too. They have coupons on their website. The bill included a $20 Fuel/energy surcharge.

The Service Tech was on time. Did an excellent job and left the garage spotless.

Upon inspection of my door, additional work was necessary as one of the cables was splitting and in danger of breaking. Overall, I was pleased with the work done.

Quickly and efficiently

It was a great deal with even better service. My technician was very knowledgeable and most pleasant. He answered all my questions and fixed our garage door quickly. Our house is currently on the market, but I will definitely use Precision Garage Doors again if and when the need arises. They are certainly experts at what they do!

There was no pressure sales. I was given excellent answers to my questions about what I wanted done. I was given multiple options with pros and cons with each. I am thrilled with the door and the new opener. Now the whole neighborhood isn't alerted when I come home by the sound of my garage door ...it is whisper quiet!

The technician they sent was very professional, punctual, and seemed knowledgeable. This company has an exclusive brand, Linear, and none of the components are compatible with my current equipment, so I would have to replace all buttons, remotes, key pads with Linear equipment. He also told me that my rollers needed to be replaced, even though it's a fairly new door and these came with the door. He said the rollers caused drag on the heavy door that broke the [sprocket] on the opener. The total quote was approximately $600. Later I did some research, found a 3/4 hp Craftsman (compared to Linear 1/2 hp) on sale for less than $300 that included all the new remotes, safety beams, and next day installation. I had ordered new rollers from Amazon, that my research said was the top quality, for $20 for the set of 10 nylon sealed ball bearings (compared to the $180 quoted by Precision). Later the Sears installer said the [sprocket] broke because the opener was an [antique]. I didn't need to replace my rollers as they were nylon sealed, not plastic as I had been told, and he checked and there was no drag on the door. My total bill was $316.75 including tax and the installer took away the old opener. PS, the Craftsman opener is quiet, too. So Precision is good if you want Linear, and can afford to pay double the price.

It went really good. He also replaced a spring on my door with a two spring on the door. The garage door is now super quiet. John is the technician that came out.

This has been a great experience since my first phone call. Their customer service is great. I had to change the time of my appointment at the last minute. I thought I would have to wait another week to get my door fixed as I can only have someone come out on a Saturday. To my pleasent suprise it was not a hassle, they changed my AM appointment to the afternoon! Mike the technician was great, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He called 1/2 hour before he came to see if was a good time was to come. He was very prompt. He did not try and sell me a new garage door like I feared. The first thing he said was the garage door was in great shape and it was going to be an easy fix. At that my fears melted. He did great work and now my door works better than it did when it was first installed. I have no idea how he made it so quiet. I am very pleased.
