Precision Overhead Garage Door

Unfortunately, I wasn't home at the time; I was at work and unable to be there. My 20 year old son was there. I had originally requested Precision Overhead to come out to replace a spring, or maybe both springs. The service technician called me a couple of times to explain the problems he was encountering during the repair and suggested I fix a few more things than what I had intended on having done. I really just had to take his word on it that the things he replaced really needed to be replaced. So, I can't really be fair in my evaluation because I don't know if the technician was taking advantage of the fact that I wasn't there to inspect the parts that he said needed replacing, or if they really did need replacing, in which case, he probably did me a favor. Unfortunately, since I was not there, I don't feel as if I can offer a fair review of Precision Overhead Garage Door.

The company tech did a great job. Was on time, very polite and got right on the job and finished very quickly. He also answered my questions in very high detail. I would highly recommend this company.

I called precision garage door in am (after consulting Angies list ) informed them of problem & tech(told me his name ) in my area and appt made for him in next 1 1/2 hrs-tech called me on way told me his name and when in my driveway called me within appt time frame. I was fortunate to have Craig Earle (tech)-evaluated problem -and condition of door and system informed of potential problems down the road -what to monitor and what options at that point would be -but, nothing at this time were problematic.Fixed wheel and straightened track - springs -he was professional -friendly-knowledgeable no pressure to do more and spoke highly of company he represents.Since I know nothing of garage door or system always leery of repair people for fear of doing more repairs that are not needed.Great tech- service and company-highly recommend -will use again.

Matt arrived on time, made some suggestions to improve door functionality. Very knowledgeable and personable. Very happy with results.

Frank did an excellent job installing the single garage door opener and the new keypad outside. I would definitely recommend precision, they did such a fantastic job, my neighbor contracted with them within days to do the same thing at their house. Great work Precision!

The tech. "James" called on his way to the appointment and let me know he was on his way. He showed up on time and was shown the problems which we were having with the garage door, which were sticking and stopping on the way up when using the remote opener. HE immediately diagnosed the problems and went to work to make several adjustments to the springs and track of the door. He made all adjustments and kept refining everything until it was right, he then installed the new rollers and again made adjustments until he felt it was right. Then the capacitor in the garage door opener blew out and he replace that as well. the capacitor was old and needed to be replaced anyway. I felt that James went out of his way to do a good job and even went above what was required to do the job properly.

The serviceman arrived and was very courteous. There were a couple of very basic things that needed to be taken care of as part of the "tune-up" advertised in the BD (including a wire that needed to be taped so as to not interfere with the chain of the garage door and also some hinges that simply needed to be lubricated). The serviceman, however, told me that someone had taken both the lubricant and tape out of his truck. He then gave me a quote for some major repairs on the garage door. I want to emphasize that he was very professional and polite, but it is difficult to say that any "tuning" was done and the inspection was cursory at best. He did tell me which type of lubricant to get at home depot if I wanted to do the work myself (which I did do). P.S. Since my intial writing I have spoken with the manager and service technician that did the work. They have both gone way out of their way to resolve all issues. They have shown a sense of professionalism.

The work was done fine, when the tech finally arrived. Between the office and tech, the stories were drastically different as to why the tech was going to be arriving late. The office said he was stuck in traffic (a bad accident) and the tech called and said he was just finishing a service call and was on his way.

The service was fine. Everything is working properly as far as I can tell. They showed up on time, and everything went fine. The door wasn't broken, it was just a preventative measure.

Work was done well and in a prefessional, efficient and timely manner. Our noisy garage door is gone. Even though we were told we should have a more powerful garage door opener for our double garage door, there was no pressure to upgrade anything. Would defintely use this company again.

Part of my concern was the squeaking my door was making. In two weeks time, the door was squeaking again and I called to have them come and look at it. I was told I would have to pay for a service call. I had paid $885 for the work they had done and it had only been two weeks. It seemed like really bad customer service to not come and look at what was going on, which was the original reason I had called them.

Super Duper ...we are very pleased from start to finish.

I had always used Overhead Door in Polk County--and they had always be good and reliable. But when my garage door wouldn't work and I wanted someone to get the work done as soon as possible. Overhead Door Co. said their guys quit working right at 5, so since I work too that wouldn't work. I had seen the reviews on Precision on Angie's list and figured I would call them if I couldn't schedule Overhead Door Co. (Polk Co). So I called Precision and they were able to schedule an evening repair appointment. Ryan came out and was very knowledgeable and personable. My problem was the coils (that was obvious) and I had not had any maintenance in several years, so I figured I need the general review and possible more maintenance. Based on other accounts, I knew the coil replacement would be at least $200-$300. After examination, Ryan said I also need the bearings, cables drums and we changed out my rollers to make it quieter. I ended up buying their " $500 rebuild" package. It probably is a little on the high side as far as cost, but I was thrilled they got to me very quickly, no extra charge for evening work and that my garage door is repaired, tuned, quiet and works like a charm. I went ahead and had them add the outside keypad at an extra charge as well--and I love it! So I would recommend them and use them again.

My window was 12-2pm but they came at 215pm so time was a little off but my garage door is working smoothly and so much quieter now with new rollers. Ryan was very professional.He had all the work done in an hour. He replaced the weather seal on the bottom of the door and replaced the springs. I'm very happy with the work that was done.

Very well. Very professional. Advised what repairs would probably be needed next due to wear and tear. No pressure.

Although we live within the outskirts of the Tampa Bay region in Valrico, Florida, the Precision Overhead Garage Door company was very responsive and completed their work on our garage door in less than 24 hours from the time we made the appointment. The technician was very professional, polite, efficient and competent. While also offering advice and recommendations for future maintenance, there was absolutely no hard sell or surprises and you can be sure, we will call upon the Precision Overhead Door company in the future as well, whenever we may need repairs or maintenance for our garage doors again. Companies (along with their employees) such as the Precision Overhead Door company, also boost our confidence when relying on Angies List for other services offered by other providers as well. I would rate our experience with the Precision Overhead Door company as a Win/Win/Win for the Customer, the Business and Angies List as well. Thank you!

Ben arrived on schedule & worked so efficiently that I was able to attend a meeting that I thought I'd miss.

I really like how well the work turned out. They were a little bit slow in their responsiveness, as I had to call them several times to get things going. I would recommend them.

The 2 men were very courteous & helpful. They did a great job & worked quickly.

Our tech arrived on time and was very friendly. I thought I was just going to get an estimate, but he had everything with him to do the job at that time. The price was reasonable and haven't had any problems with it at all.

I was disappointed to say the least. Then they said I could use my deal to have a key pad installed instead of fixing the door. So that's what I opted for.

Very professional. Was here on time, very thorough,excellent tune up job. He was also very informative. We are purchasing new doors in the next few months, and though he was not a salesman, he was very informative and provided excellent info. I am sure we will be buying our replacement doors via them. We have used several local companies over the years for various minor issues with our garage doors. This was the most professional service we have encountered. Would probably not used them if not for Big Deal.......would have likely called one of the folks who had been here before.
