The condo association recommended them so we went with their service. The fellow was really nice to work with.

The service turned out well. They did more than they had to with the service as they noticed a screw was missing on the door and they fixed that at no charge. They told me to call with any further issues in the future.

Quote was quick and easy, guy was very knowledgeable and had multiple options. Booked appointment 3 business days later. Guy that installed the door was on time and friendly. Installed the door in a few hours, without any issues. After the door was complete he explained warranty. He cleaned up and hauled away old door, overall great experience! I came home 14 Apr 14 to find the garage door wouldn't open and luckily my Wife's car was not in the garage. I checked the garage door and discovered the right torsion spring was broken. I immediately checked Angie's List for garage door repairs and I liked the ratings and the reviews for Precision. I called Precision and they set up an appointment time between 2-4 pm Tuesday and sent email confirmation of appointment along with Technician's information and bio. On Tuesday I received a call from the Technician (Mike Boyle) at 2:15 pm and he said he would arrive in 10 minutes and he was there before 2:30 pm. I was extremely pleased with his courtesy call on when he would arrive and his promptness. Mike arrived and asked several questions about the garage door and opener age, frequency of use, how the spring broke, etc. and then said he would conduct an inspection to give an estimate for repair. After his inspection/evaluation he thoroughly explained what he recommended to repair the door (replace torsion spring, center and both end bearings) and gave an estimate. based on wear. He also recommended the factory rollers be replaced but said while there were still serviceable they would need to be replaced soon. He explained options and mentioned they had a package deal that would cover all the recommended repairs. After he explained the detailed estimate I choose to go with the package deal for $550.00 and told him to make the repairs. He said it would take him between 1 to 1.5 hrs and was done by 4:30 pm. After the repairs were completed Mike went over the repairs, explained some general maintenance tips and answered all my questions. Mike also took $15.00 off the $550.00 since I was an Angie's List user. Overall I am very pleased with Precision and happy I selected them for the repair. Also I am very pleased with Mike's professionalism and knowledge/skills. I truly would not hesitate to use Precision again and will definitely recommend them (and Mike) to my friends.

Repair request was handled in a courteous manner and followed up by email. Serviceman was great and knew exactly what to do and the door works fine. My only drawback was the price. The whole unit (1/2hp Genie) cost less than $140.00 new, but the safety (electric) eye replacement was $136.63. The part was listed as $109, or 80% of the cost of a total new unit; motor, drive, remotes, and the electric eye. Supposedly there was no service charge for repairs over $100.00, but the invoice includes a $20.00 labor/fuel charge. Something seems out of balance when a minor external part, replaced in less than 15 minutes, is the cost of a new unit. Again, door works fine and the repairman was great, just the price.

I had a technician come by (aka Frank) at the time slot of my choosing by scheduling on the companies website. They called me the next day to confirm time, and came for the repair that same day. He looked over my door, told me all the parts that needed replaced to fix my complaint, and all the parts he recommended replacement. He gave me a price on the repairs, and I agreed. It took him about 45 minutes to complete the repairs, and everything met my satisfaction. Since I went with his recommended repair, I received a 5 year warranty on the work he performed. Great Job Frank!!

The service was fantastic. They were very straight forward and explained I could do a quick fix or we could get more life out of the door and hold off on the repair. They did not pressure us or try to up sell.

This was the second time I used their service. It was great and I was once again pleased. I will continue to use them.

They were very profesional, nothing that i didn't dislike. They were very good. They sealed the bottom of the door very well and the rubber that they used was a very good quality seal. The interaction was good, they return my calls and showed up on time. They did it very well. I did not pay an extra cost. The price was very good.

We called between 11:30 and 12:00 on the day of service. They made an appt. with us for between 4 and 6pm. At about 4:30, the technician, James, called and said he would be there in about 20 minutes. He arrived when he said, examined the door, explained both the problem and what was needed and gave us an estimate. We authorized the service and he went right to work. When the work was completed, he explained how to use all the features. He even offered to help program the garage opener on my car. Overall we were very pleased and impressed with the service.

It turned out well. I have no complains. It was a good experience. I would probably call them back again if we needed any work. He fixed the issue and gave us recommendation on what else we should have done; we just don't have time for that yet.

Late last night there was an issue with my garage not opening. After further inspection, it seemed i had a broken torsion spring. I called first thing today at 8 am for someone to come out. I used this company a month back on a Angie's special for changing out the rollers and tune up my garage door. They sent out today Tom Naporano and said he would arrive between 1 pm-2 pm He called and arrived on time at 1:30. He assessed quickly the door and explained that the spring was broke and needing to replace both as well as the bearing in the rollers. He was very professional and knowledgeable to the work to be done. He made a dangerous job with high tension springs look easy. The door is now in excellent working condition,. They were able to come out within two days of the purchase. They replaced the seal on the bottom of the door and also checked the door to make sure nothing else needed to be repaired. The technician, Tom Sewell, spent about an hour and a half on the job. Tom is a great guy who is easy going and easy to deal with. He did a great job! I highly recommend them to others. I would have them come back within a heartbeat.

I got two other estimates from highly rated large companies. Richard from Precision (2nd of 3) was over $50 less with just replacing the door and over $200 less when impact windows were included. The other companies offered non impact windows for $50 less then the impact windows Richard offered. I don't understand why you would put non impact windows in a hurricane rated garage door (now required). After measuring, Richard stated that I should have a 6' 9" door instead of the 6' 7' standard door I had already and explained why. This was never mentioned by the first estimator and confirmed by the third estimator after I asked him about this. Richard answered all my questions and did not try to upsell other options. Called there office a few days later (Saturday) to schedule the installment which was Wednesday (quick). There was no deposit required and they did not charge extra to use a credit card. Jason and Josh arrived as scheduled and quickly went to work. They politely answered all my questions and did not waste a single minute on the job. They completed there (quality) work in 1.5 hours. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Precision and their employees. I highly recommend this company.

Very pleased with the work. We talked for a few minutes, then he went to work and about 30 minutes later was done. Garage door much quieter with the new rollers.

My garage door is now working perfectly. I am a happy customer!

Tech saw they were actually out for a repair 4 1/2 years ago. He noticed our springs were very worn but still under the 5 year warranty so he replaced them for no charge. Very happy to have a smooth running door and working wireless entry. Thanks!

UPDATE* Company did refund my $149.95 just for doing this I may try them in the future. Maybe I just had an isolated incident. Technician was prompt and actually arrived before my initial 3pm-7pm window. Dispatch called me around 1:40 pm to tell me tech was in my area and I told them I wasn't there yet and that I wasn't expecting him so soon. They said they would notify the tech. A few minutes later the tech called and I explained I couldn't be at the residence for another hour. Anyways I coordinated with with the technician and met him at the residence a few minutes before 3pm. My initial complaint was my garage door had been it and I couldn't close the garage door because the sensors kept stopping the door. The rail that the wheels ride along was out of place so the technician adjusted a bolt that took him less than a minute to fix. I brought two garage door openers to the residence I wanted programmed the technician informed me they charged $40 per remote to program them. I couldn't believe they were going to charge a total of $80 to program two remotes. WOW. Anyways he told me I can buy two new remotes for $50 each from him and he would also program them. The remotes cost $35 a piece at Home Depot so I figured convenience plus he would program them I said what the heck. I would have paid $70 at home depot versus $100 to him but the difference was he would program them which took him all of 15 seconds to do. In all he must have spent 3 minutes at most actually physically working between adjusting the rail and programming two remotes. So now its checkout I had the Angie''s List coupon that says no service fee with repair they are currently advertising. They wanted $50 for each remote so a total of $100 which I was aware of. They also charged me a general maintenance fee of $49.95 to adjust the rail. They also tried to charge me a $19.95 gas surcharge fee at which point I became angered because I couldn't believe a company was getting A's on Angie's List charging hidden fees. After going back and forth with the technician he removed the $19.95 gas surcharge fee and told me someone from the company should have explained that fee to me but since they didn't he would remove it. Bottom line is I spent $149.95 for two remotes and less than 5 minutes of physical work.

I was surprised the estimate to fix the cable was $349 for the "necessary work" and $544 for "everything that should be done". The next night a friend came by to look at it and found that the cable was not broken, just had come off the pulley. He fixed it in about 10 minutes! It's been working fine every since. Thinking back I had been raising and lowering the garage door a lot the day the cable came off the track...that is probably what made it jump the track on the pulley.

They were prompt coming out for an estimate. Very friendly and knowledgable. Work was scheduled within a week. Installer was professional, finished the job quickly and provided an overview of new install.
