Precision Overhead Garage Door

I called on Friday mid-morning and they had a technician available between 12pm and 4pm. He called and said he was 20 minutes away around 2:20 and promptly arrived 20 minutes later. Unlike Sears that says they're 20 minutes away and you have to call to find out where they are after an hour plus of waiting, The gentleman looked over our situation, made a few recommendations and provided one or two options for service. Though $500 is a lot of money, I opted for the full "grocery list" and let him get at it, After an hour and a half, I checked on him and he was about completed and was in the final stages of checking his work. My wife and I are very pleased with his service, punctuality and of course, the results. THANKS PAUL!!! NICE JOB!!!

It went fine and the guys were very good. There was additional charge for the extra work done. The $89 was great but then I had to pay almost $300. They came very quickly.

I received an email to have a garage door check and replace the bottom seal. I thought this is a great deal. However, the day James, the tech. arrived, my springs broke! How ironic. I ordered a system check only to reallly NEED them. It was extremely difficult to get the door opened. The tech did call me. I was at work. The door was left open. He checked everything out, even though I had not yet arrived home.Upon my arrival, he introduced himself. He was neat in appearance and very kind, courteous and professional. He explianed and showed me what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the problem. He was NOT pushey. He did explain that the bearings would need replacemet, that I did not need to do it now but he suggested that putting in new springs will place more unnecessay tension on the new springs, as well as the old bearings,and may cause more problems down the road. I know this, as my sister also had to have this done, and the other company they had never explained this. This company also did their work and they were completely satisfied.. James explained the wpork and cost. He also informed me that since he was already there, and since I am an ANGIE"S list customer, I received a 15% discount, which helped.( He did not have to mention that) To me that shows that he, as well as this company is honest! I greatly appreciated that courtesy. He performed the work quickly, and was neat, and left the area clean. The door works well, and moves much better and is a bit more quiet. I was greatly impressed with the tech, James. With all the problems that homeowners have. I had to leave my garage door open till he arrived, which was on time. He patiently waited for me till I returned home. This gave him time to inspect the job, but also states how trustworthy this tech is, and that company hires some great people. Thank you, James for all the courtesy extended. The company also made arragemnets to stretch my payment.After all, no one wants to come home an be faced with a bill for over $500.00 I am completely satisfied. I would hire this company again, as well as recommend to anyone seeking an HONEST company that also has reputable and trustworthy and professional employees. Thankyou. Rob G.

That was very good. They were very helpful. I would definitely recommend them. They came right out and the guy was very knowledgeable and did a great job.

They came promptly and the guy looked at the door that was supposed to be sealed I guess and he said we really didn't need it and he was checking some other things out. In short, $829 I had a new garage motor and stuff like that. The services were very good. He did a nice job. He seemed rather nervous that he had to tell me that the cost was over and above but I decided to go with it rather than the $89 offer. I was looking to spend $89 and I ended up spending $800 more than that so I wasn't too pleased about it.

Mike came out and was excellent. He went over everything in detail on what the problem was with our door and the resolutions. He made some recommendations so future issues would not occur. Paid a little more than I would have like to but for the service and the performance of my door now it was worth it. I would say Mike made the service visit for me. My garage seems to be working correctly. From what I can tell, they did a good job.

On time, professional, gave good information.

This company was awesome from the moment I initially contacted them all the way through to the finish. Everything they did is working perfectly and wow what a difference the rollers made in the amount of noise when the door goes up and down. That wasn't expected but we're thrilled with that! I will definitely recommend them to my friends and if I have another problem with the garage door I know who to call now. Thanks for a great experience!

This turned out fine. They did quite a bit of extra work along with the big deal work.

He did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the service. No additional work was required. They were on-time and came out the same day I scheduled the work. I felt they were trustworthy. I looked up the cost of the materials and just those alone were more than the service they provided.

I used $89 coupon to change the rubber seal at the bottom of the double garage door. He came as promised and found that that the seal was really okay, so changed the rollers for the $89 and fine tuned the door. As well, he found that the single garage door seal was shot and replaced it and fine tuned that door. Everything flows smoothly now and hopefully, no more water in small garage door!

They were very understandable and told us how to go about getting our purchase price refunded.

Everything overall went great. My installer was John and he was very prompt and knowledgeable. I had a bad experience a few months ago with the company and they refunded my money after a post on Angie's List describing my experience.(This review is dated 4/2 and I gave them a C rating) The owner I'm assuming stepped up and gave me a refund without even calling them directly to complain. So I figured my last experience may have been an isolated incident. So overall I was very pleased with my last experience, but whats up with the FUEL/ENERGY SURCHARGE? In the company response I would like this fee addressed for other Angie's List providers. Is this fee charged to everyone and why aren't customers made aware of this fee?

I had purchased the $89 garage door tune-up on a "Big Deal." Precision came out right on time, but informed me of several other issues with the garage door that far exceeded the parameters of a tune-up. I had the door repaired previously about 2 years ago, but it was once again not closing properly at the bottom, the traction arm of the opener was twisting and it was incredibly LOUD. My technician was terrific in explaining to me all of the problems with the door, including that it hadn't really been installed properly at the home's construction (by another company), and that the bearings were failing also. The tech explained all costs up front, so I knew what the final bill would be when I agreed to the work. I hadn't planned to spend that much on a repair at the time of service. Still, that's about 1/3 the cost of a new garage door, and it is so quiet now, you can hardly tell the door is in operation. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

It went well. They did the work as requested. Everything was performed satisfactorily. Everything's an A down the list.

Upon inspection of garage door, I was informed that replacing the rollers would only be a temporary fix. Doug was very informative about the condition of the door and suggested replacing them and was very helpful in deciding which doors to choose. Waiting for them to be delivered. Very satisfied with Precision so far and looking forward to new garage doors.
