Precision Overhead Garage Door

They are really good polite and on time. We bought this to fix the garage door to avoid getting snakes, roaches into the garage. After fixing the seal, they said, they can't fix the structural issue we have for the garage and refund the money. I really appreciate their work and refer to my friends.

They were efficient, timely and kept the appointment. They came on time and got the job done. I would use them again. The price was fair.

I had a spring break on my garage door and called this company first, based on Angie's List reputation, for a repair estimate. I asked for good, better, best quotes, good being spring replacement only. I received quotes of approximately $1K, $1.5K and $2K! The salesman/tech proceeded to try to tell me that at a minimum I needed to replace springs, pulley bearings, rollers and even the motor! I then asked specifically how much just to replace the springs and was quoted $189 per spring (2 ea.). Furthermore; when I told him I would think about it and get back to them, he tried to push the sale, saying that they typically only leave quotes for new installations, and acted put out that I would not commit to a sale. I had another company out, who confirmed my deduction, and told me there was nothing wrong other than the broken spring. This other company replaced both springs, in less than 30 minutes, for a total of $199 + tax.

The provider made the appointment quickly, came on time, checked out my door and determined that I didn't need the service. They refunded my payment in full.

Went well, arrived on time,reviewed what I had purchased through Angie list, installer suggested that I upgrade to 3/4 horse power opener it is quieter and better product. That would have put the price over 500.00. Reviewed with wife that's how we decide on spending money for items. I said ok, then he said he would recommend these nylon rollers they work better then steel and are quieter. I asked how much and he responded 10.00 a piece for ten that would be another 100.00. Now we are over 600.00. I asked about a bottom seal on the door he quoted 125.00 for the seal. So went back to the wife to review what was going on in the garage, she said can't spend that much, so I talked with the installer about going back to the 1/2 horse power unit which I settled on, added the 10 nylon rollers and the bottom seal for the door. So he replaced the opener with the items we talked about the second time and completed the job. Total cost was about 545.00.

The service tech did an outstanding job. He was punctual, professional and respectful. He went about his business, gave me his recommendation and the various options. He never pressured me or tried to "sell up" other than presenting the various options.

Installers were very professional, accurate, neat both with their work and themselves. Everything was up and running in a reasonable amount of time.

They’re not going to be able to do the service. My door is too old, I’ll just need to get it replaced.

I was very pleased! Two service men arrived promptly, very polite, clean and professional. Provided me with 3 estimates on repairs, GOOD, BETTER n BEST with many options n warranties. The work was performed in a timely manner, very clean, they covered all the work performed, demonstrated opener etc. and the warranties. Overall, I am very pleased with my choices, the new garage door opener n Precision Garage Door.

Originally paid for the garage door tune up, but there were enough issues that a complete door replacement made sense. The repairman had finished all the required tune up, brought other things needing service, then credited me with what I paid to the cost of a new door. One was ordered and he returned when scheduled and replaced the door. He hauled away the old door and cleaned up the area. We had to relocate one sensor after he was finished and noticed that some adjustments had to be made to the door for a better seal. Overhead Door was great and sent another man out to complete the work. Everyone was cheerful and determined to please. This is perhaps the 4th time I've contacted them over the past 15 years, and I've always a great experience. Definitely recommend them.

As for punctuality this company is great. Everything else... BEWARE! I should've known something wasn't right when I asked for an estimate on the phone after telling them exactly what I needed but they insisted they couldn't give me a price until they saw the job. I read all the other reviews on Angie's list and decided to take the chance..big mistake! Every other company told me exactly how much the job would be to replace two torsion springs (over the phone) but advised me it would be more if they discovered additional damage, which I was completely fine with. This company doesn't give prices until they get to your home & when they arrive, they charge an arm, leg & a kidney! The average price to replace two torsion springs was between $200-$250 total. I went with this company b/c of the reviews but they only began telling me the price until they took everything apart & I had no choice b/c I was scared to leave my garage door wide open before I could get someone else out to my home in time. To add insult to injury, the price changed 3 separate times until I refused to have him do anything else. I just wanted my garage door CLOSED. He also had the nerve to ask for degreaser to clean up his arms AND iced water. This was a miserable experience & my ENTIRE problem isn't even fixed!! I am now headed to Lowes to finish the rest! My technician was Dallas Frazier!

Entire experience went very smoothly. Sales representative arrived promptly for my initial appointment and was professional, personable and patient. I was able to select my new door and schedule the installation within a very reasonable time frame. Precision handled pulling the necessary permits and scheduled the final inspection. The installers arrived as scheduled and promptly went to work. The door, additional framing and opener installation were completed very quickly with quality and attention to detail. The installers programmed the opener, keypad, remotes and external keypad and worked with me to make sure everything was working correctly. They were very neat and completely cleaned up before leaving. The door/installation easily passed the subsequent county building inspection.

They were very good. I have them back several times to do other work.

The service technician was prompt, friendly, polite and took a good bit of his time to explain the situation to me. He discovered that the garage door motor was not functioning properly and was putting a lot of stress on the belt. He told me he could repair the motor or I could purchase a new one, and he felt sure the repaired motor would continue to serve me for at least another year if I didn't want to go to the expense of replacing it. That is what I decided to do and I thought the cost was appropriate for all the work he did as well as for the replaced part. This repair also quieted the noise of the door considerably. I will likely call them back when it is time to replace the motor and I would give them an A!

The representative showed up at the scheduled time and went right to work. Initially we had purchased another remote to see if it was just worn out, and rather than selling us an additional remote - he programmed that one for us. Nice! Explained a few other options we might want to consider, completed his work, cleaned up and was finished. Met our expectations, and went well. Would hire again. Thanks!

Again we used Angie's List. YOU MUST THEM! We found Precision Garage Door and we liked the metrics of their reviews. When we called them at 4:00 pm, they said they would have someone their in two hours. They beat their estimate. What I really liked was that they sent an email confirmation. In that email confirmation, they had a picture to the technician that would be providing our service. This is comforting because we know what the person looks like. That is peace of mind. When Ryan Goodman came, you tell by just looking at the guy that he was friendly. Even more importantly he was professional. Ryan took a few minutes to survey the situation and spoke with us. Ryan told us our door were double insulated and do not need to be replaced, now or in the future. Ryan said he could repair the current garage opener but since the garage opener was over 30 years old, it could have issues again. I asked Ryan what it would cost just to fix the door. Since we were Angie's List subscribers, we got a discount. Thank you Angie's List. I then asked Ryan what a new motor would cost. I decided to do it right. I did not want any future issue with my garage opener. Another technician, Ed, also came over to help Ryan. They both worked until about 8:15 PM. This opener is so quiet. I had them install a surge protector and a outside key pad as well. Outstanding work and very professional. Yet they were both two men that I could tell enjoyed their work. It showed.

The technician was there on time, extremely professional, helpful and honest. I would recommend this service to anyone. I upgraded my initial deal, but well worth the money!

iMy experience with Precision was excellent. I called to schedule an estimate on a Monday and they came Tuesday to do the estimate. As I was satisfied with the quoted price I scheduled the install for Friday at 9:30am. Their installer showed up exactly on time and immediately got to work removing the old door. When the new door was completely installed he wrote up the invoice which was for exactly the quoted price. My garage was left in perfect condition with the old door and all trash removed. All through the process I was never pressured to add items or services. What a great experience! I got exactly what I needed with no haggling or excessive charges. That seems to be unheard of in any sales transactions these days. I cannot say enough positive things about the whole experience. It really made my day to have such a positive experience. I will recommend Precision to anyone I know needing a new door or services for their existing doors. I will most assuredly call them again when I replace my other door as well.

They did a good job but it was expensive. I had to have them install another part, which was the expensive part. I did some research and saw a competitor’s commercial that said the part shouldn’t cost $700, and I thought it was funny it was exactly $700. They were quick to do the work.

It was fine. The tune-up took about a half hour and they also installed new springs. They sent 1 tech.

Mike did an excellent job! He was very professional and explained everything to me as he went. I was very happy with the job he did for us!
